As day passed, it seemed that the time Sora had spend with L turned more and more into a dream. The longer she was back in her old life, with her old friends, the more it became something unrealistic. Sora didn't notice that at first. She was too much into her studies to notice how she slowly forgot about L and her feelings for him.

From L.Joe's birthday on, she spent lunch times studying with Chaejin and also the weekends. After school, she stayed with L.Joe in the music room and he'd show her what she had missed. He especially liked the times he would play the piano and she would sing the songs for choir.

It was Friday of the next week, when the teacher announced a one-day trip to Gangwon-do.

That's like three hours train away from Seoul. Sora complained in her mind.

>>I'm not sure yet but another class will join us.<< With that, the teacher ended the class and everyone went out. Sora waited for Chaejin, but he told her to go ahead.

>>Mrs. Lee. . .<<, Chaejin began and the teacher looked up. >>Yes?<<

>>Maybe we could go on that field trip with the senior year. JunQ hyung's , Chunji hyung's, L.Joe hyung's and Kai hyung's class.<<

The teacher thought about it for a a second. >>Since they have a lot of stress with their SAT's that would be quite a good idea, right?<<

Chaejin nodded.

>>I'll think about it.<<

Chaejin smiled, already having a plan in mind.

>>Ah, so tired!<< Sora stretched herself. >>It's really hard to catch up with everything.<<

>>Aren't you excited about the field trip?<<, Chaejin asked her.

>>Well. . .I don't know what we are going to do there.<<

>>That doesn't matter. It's the seaside.<<

Sora smiled. >>I kinda miss the seaside.<<

>>It seems like you can do everything now.<< L.Joe looked up from the piano notes.

>>I can do what the others do, but the teacher gave me a solo today.<< She showed him the notes. >>She asked me to practice it with you.<<

L.Joe had a look at it and tried to play the melody. >>Hmm, the song seems not bad. Are you sure you can sing in front of so many people? Students and parents will be there.<<

Sora froze, remembering that. >>You are right! Oh God! How should I do that?<<

L.Joe chuckled. >>Your voice is beautiful and I'm sure you can do it. Don't you want to become a musician?<<

Sora hesitantly nodded. >>I actually wanted to. . .but. . .I'll only become a musician if you do too.<<

L.Joe smiled. >>But first I'm going to look how I'm doing in college. Chunji and I are going to Hanyang University.<<

>>Oh really? You two got accepted?! Congratulations.<<

>>Thank you. . .hmm, how about we two become idols? It was our dream in the past.<<

Sora smiled, remembering that. >>We used to sing a lot of k-pop songs.<<

>>Let's make a promise.<< L.Joe held out his pinky and Sora linked her pinky with his. >>Let's become idols<<, she said and smiled.

>>It would be nice, right? Doing things we like and letting people see it. It would be cool to have people like us and our music.<<

>>I can be like my mother. She has something to be proud of. Back then, I could tell she wanted me to be a musician or an idol. I would make her happy and myself too.<< She smiled. >>Let's try our best okay?<<

L.Joe nodded. >>But for now, let's go home. It's already late.<<

They left the school and walked over to the bus station. >>Christmas is coming! It's already December.<< Sora happily looked at the Christmas-decorated stores the two of them passed.

>>Remember how we used to spent the days in the mall, looking for presents for our parents?<<

Sora giggled. >>Yeah, we would go there after school until it closed.<<

>>It felt like my third home, since your home was my second home.<<

>>Ah yes, we would always spent our afternoons at each others houses.<< Then something came to her mind. >>I remember how your mother showed me pictures of you! You were so cute. . .once in this ninja-like-outfit! Oh God! Sooo cute!<<

L.Joe started laughing. >>I really was  cute, huh? And very strong too. . .<<

>>But very small and way too thin!<<

>>I'm always small and thin<<, he muttered and Sora laughed at him. >>So true. You are still a little too small and too thin. But you are taller than most of the girls, so why would you complain?<<

>>Do you think so? But the others are still taller than me.<<

>>Chunji Oppa and Ricky Oppa aren't that tall either.<<

L.Joe frowned. >>You really call them like that, are you?<<

>>Am I not allowed to?<<

>>You are, but they are desperate for you to say it, since they don't have someone who calls them like that.<<

>>I get what you want. . .L.Joe Oppa, huh? You want me to call you like that too, right?<<

L.Joe sheepishly smiled. >>Yeah. . .<<

Sora laughed. >>You are so childish!<<

L.Joe pouted. >>I'm not.<<

>>Everyone who knows you, would agree with me.<<

>>Nope.<<

>>Yes.<<

>>Nope.<<

>>Yeeees.<<

>>Noooo.<<

>>SEE!<<

>>NOT SEE!<<

Sora just buried her head in her hands and laughed. >>I'll give up.<<

On Tuesday at P.E. Class, Sora paired up with Changjo, since Chaejin was off to a schedule. >>Did you hear? We and L.Joe Hyung's class will have a field trip on Friday.<< Changjo smiled excited.

>>Oh, L.Joe's class, really?<<

>>Yes!<<

Since it was already really cold outside, the classes would have sports inside the halls, making it impossible for L.Joe's class and Sora's class to see each other.

>>I heard, that we'll do something fun and not that boring. I really think this field trip will be fun.<<

Sora nodded. >>I think so too.<<

>>Sora!<<, someone called her and she turned around.

Ricky and Sehun approached her, as well as Changjo. >>Oh, hello Ricky Oppa and Sehun-ssi.<< She gave both a friendly smile.

>>Let's have a fun and memorable field trip, okay?<<

Sora nodded.

>>Are you excited to spend a whole day with L.Joe Hyung?<<, Ricky asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

>>Huh, why should I be excited?<<

>>Er. . .because. . .<<

Changjo slapped his forehead. >>Let's just continue warming up, shall we?<<, Changjo suggested, changing the topic.

>>Okay. Bye Ricky Oppa and Sehun-ssi.<<

*L's POV*

I wasn't sure what I was doing as I walked back and forth in my room, like a tiger in its cage.

It was the feeling of being trapped and not being able to do anything against it. I knew I had to stay here, not only for my own sake but especially for Sora's. She wanted me to stay away from her as long as the case was a big issue. As long as people expect me to come for her, I couldn't leave this place.

I currently stayed at a cheap little motel out of town, this kind of place where the employees tell the police they have never seen you before if you pay them well.

By now I wasn't even sure for how long I had been in this room. I didn't know how much time had passed since I had left Sora but I was sure it wasn't enough yet for her father and friends to keep an eye on Sora. This way I couldn't contact her and certainly not leave the country with her.

I just have to be patient. The time will come when I'm going to see her again. I just have to wait a little longer.

But this was easier said than done. Everyday it got harder not seeing her face. Everyday was like a nightmare progressing on without her by my side. Everyday I laid on my bed, wondering how she was doing, if she felt sad . . . if she missed me as much as I missed her. Everyday it got more impossible . . . Impossible to stay away from her.

Eventually I stopped my walk and let myself fall on the bed. I stared at the dark ceiling, then closed my eyes. As always I saw pictures of Sora in my mind's eye, recreated all the moments we had spend together . . . The way she's smiling at me. I can't imagine living without seeing this smile, without feeling her kiss . . . I just can't imagine a life without her.
