-Day 15-

Sora looked up from the book she was reading, when L sat up.

>>Good morning<<, she said and smiled slightly.

He gave her a tired smile and left the bed. >>Are you hungry? How long are you awake already?<<, he asked.

>>Not long. You don't have to make breakfast. You just woke up.<<

L nodded. >>I'll be right back<<, he said as he left the room.

Sora got up to change clothes and to take a shower.

When she finished, L was sitting on the floor, staring at the book Sora had read before.

>>Why are you staring at it, as if you want to hypnotize it?<<, she asked and approached him.

He put down the book and looked at Sora. >>Are you hungry now?<<

She nodded. >>Can we. . .cook together?<<

L got up and placed the book in the shelf, before he answered. >>Then come with me.<<

Sora followed him into the corridor. It was different to see it this time. It was the first time to step outside her room without trying to escape.

>>What are these other rooms for?<<, she asked, pointing at the two other doors in the corridor.

>>My room and another bathroom<<, he answered.

>>Oh~.<<

They passed through a sparely established living room before they went downstairs, into a second living room, which was right next to the kitchen and a third bathroom.

Seeing the house now, was much nicer. Everything was sparely, yet pretty nice established. Her eyes landed on the entrance door and the window next to it. She remembered the window only too well. How she had felt when she had ran away from this house, how the rain and the cold had let her freeze. Sora shook her head to get rid of the thoughts.

They entered the kitchen and L went over to the fridge, getting out food.

Sora looked outside of the window. It revealed a garden.

She approached the door, but it was locked . . . of course. So she went back to the window, looking outside. It was raining, but still the garden looked beautiful.

Sora had the urge to go and have a look around, but since it was raining, she would have to postpone it.

>>Should I wash the rice?<<, she asked L.

He nodded and opened a little cabinet, which revealed the rice.

She took the rice and then washed it, putting it into the rice cooker afterwards. Then she turned around and approached L.

She watched him cutting the vegetables at a pace that she could only wonder how he managed not to cut off his fingers.

He handed her the plate with cut vegetables. >>You may cook that now.<<

She nodded and quickly put the vegetables into a pan. >>Waaait. . .somethings wrong. . .<<, she told herself.

>>Not into a pan, but into a pot<<, L reminded her, not even looking up from the meat he just prepared.

>>Aaaah, yees~. Of course!<< She took out a pot, but other things fell down out of the cabinet too. >>Oops~.<<

L turned around and looked at several pots and pans lying on the ground.

They both bend down and picked them up. >>I'm normally not so. . .clumsy?<<

L nodded and smiled in amusement. >>I know that.<<

Sora quickly got up, but hit her head on the open door of the cabinet which was attached to the wall. >>Ouch~<<, she whined and rubbed her head.

>>Are you okay?<<, L asked, immediately concerned.

>>Er. . .don't worry. It's nothing<<, she said and continued with the vegetables.

>>The sauce tastes quite good. You have to try it<<, she said after a while. To her surprise, L stood next to her and opened his mouth. He looked at her waiting for her to feed him. Hesitantly she took a spoonful of sauce and shoved it into his mouth. He swallowed and then said: >>We need more salt.<<

>>Okay.<< She took the salt and poured it into the sauce. >>This much?<<

>>More.<<

She did it again. >>Now?<<

>>A bit more.<<

She poured more into it and only stopped when L reached out his hand. >>Stop! That's too much.<<

>>Oh no! Did I ruin it?<<

L tasted it and shook his head. >>It's okay.<<

Sora sighed in relief. 

L went over to a cabinet and got out something that let Sora frown. >>What are you doing?<<, she asked, already knowing the answer.

>>You need to take the medicine<<, L explained.

>>No~. Everything but no coughing syrup. It's totally disgusting.<<

L got out a spoon and filled it with the medicine. >>It's the last time.<< He approached her, but she cupped .

>>You have to hold your nose so that you can't breath through it. Therefore you don't smell anything<<, he adivised.

Unwilling she did as told. L looked slightly amused and shoved the spoon into . She then took the glass of water and drank it. After that she let go of her nose and took in a deep breath. >>Ewwh. I hate it.<< She put the glass into the water tub. >>Now lets eat.<<

>>What do you think your friends think about you not attending school?<<, Sora asked, while eating in the kitchen.

>>My friends?<<

>>Don't you have. . .friends?<<

>>Not long ago I had friends.<< He replied with an unreadable expression, obviously thinking about his former friends.

Sora nodded understanding. >>Do you want to tell me about them?<<

L continued eating and Sora thought he wouldn't answer, but in the end he did.

>>We were seven<<, he began. >>They are called Kim Sunggyu, Jang Dongwoo, Nam Woohyun, Lee Hoya, Lee Sungyeol and Lee Sungjong. . .when I finished the primary school and changed to a new school, I was in the same class as Sungyeol, so we became friends quickly and he already knew the others, so I was actually the last to join the group. . .<<

These names. . .Sora thought. She suddenly remembered what L.Joe had told her.

>>Any other friends I should know of?<<, Sora asked quietly, while the other four boys thought about a place to eat ice cream.

>>Well, there are six boys we are pretty close to. But they don't attend our school. We only hang around with Hoya, Sunggyu, Sungyeol, Sungjong, Dongwoo and Woohyun on the weekends.<<

>>The six are just like us, a group of friends. There were actually seven of them, but one become a loner and stopped hanging around with them, not long ago.<<

So L is the loner? She wondered.

>>What is it?<< He looked at her intensely, like he always did. Another strange thing Sora was used to by now.

>>Er. . .it's just that L.Joe told me about them already. So I remembered.<<

L nodded, not liking the fact she just mentioned L.Joe.

Sora, you should just forget about him, he thought.
