Momo’s POV

I can’t believe my friends had ditched me again leaving me to walk home from school. This was a common occurrence honestly. Mina always had ballet practice after school and Sana and Tzuyu would always completely forget about me, those two were in their own little world most of the time. I hated walking, because to get to my house from the school I had to walk past the local cemetery. Honestly that place gave me the creeps. As I was walking past it on the way home I couldn’t help but notice a very familiar motorbike parked out the front. So me being the curious person that I am, I decided to stop and look into the cemetery. I noticed the very person I was looking for standing quietly in front of one of the headstones. As I got closer I could see a very sad, empty expression on her face as she continued to stare at the headstone. Tears started running down her face as she continued to repeat the words, “I’m sorry” over and over again, before collapsing on the ground and crying. I left thinking it was probably best to just leave her alone.

The next day I woke up in a very bad mood, after seeing the new girl at the cemetery last night I was unable to stop thinking about her and had gotten very little sleep because of it. I had never seen someone look so broken before and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. I wondered what happened to leave her in that state. My friends yelling at me interrupted my thoughts and I looked up to see them waving at me from the school gates.

“Momo, you look exhausted.” Sana said as walked over to me, with the others following behind her.

“You could say that, I got next to no sleep last night.” I replied while yawning.

“Why? Up watching again?” Mina said with her signature smirk.

“Myoui Mina, I do not watch !” I screamed before throwing my bag at her, which she dodged effortlessly before continuing to laugh at me, and hiding behind Tzuyu. This girl never leaves me alone, I swear.

It was then I heard the sound of a motorbike pulling into the car park as well as the sound of excited chatter from the crowd around us. I looked over to see the new girl once again getting off of her bike, and taking her helmet off. She looked around at the crowd of people before shaking her head slightly and running her hand through her hair, and yet again putting her headphones on and walking off with a blank look on her face. I swear my heart stopped for a moment when she ran her hand through her hair; seriously did she have any idea how good she looked when she did that.

“I see what you meant yesterday, that girl is like a model.” Tzuyu stated while nodding her head in approval. I saw Mina smirking at me again out of the corner of my eye.

“Don’t even say anything Mina.” I said while glaring at her. “Come on let’s get to class.”

Tzuyu headed off to her class first, she was the year below the rest of us. Mina, Sana and I kept walking towards our classes. Sana spoke up as we stopped in front of her and Mina’s homeroom.

“You know now that I think about it that new girl seems really familiar to me. She’s in your class right? What’s her name?” She asked while looking at me.

“Ah I don’t actually know I was asleep through most of homeroom.”

“Seriously Momo? Again?” Mina answered while chuckling at me.

“Yeah I haven’t been sleeping much, trying to come up with a new routine for the dance club isn’t easy. Anyway I will see you guys at lunch right?” I said as turned to go to my class.

“Yeah sure will.” They both responded before going into their classroom.

In class I saw the new girl sitting in the seat next to mine, staring out the window seeming to be lost in her thoughts. I sat down next to her resting my head on the desk and looking carefully over at her. It wasn’t long before I fell asleep on my desk.
