Am I the patience king or what?

It’s been a while and still, I’m standing here trying to win the heart of the woman I love.

It’s not easy, sometimes I get very frustrated at her.

But you know what I realize? It’s better off this way, for things to happen the way it should.

Regarding her pregnancy, she’s healthy. She’s very careful about Hansol, she never misses a day not learning something new about her pregnancy. That’s what makes her an amazing mother. I don’t even have to worry about her – well not that I really don’t worry – it’s just that she’s not a stubborn pregnant woman. She knows what she should and shouldn’t do.

She’s just amazing.

Especially her preggy curve nowadays? That shape her body makes whenever she’s wearing a one piece night dress. I’m here sitting on the couch while having my laptop on my lap. I’m doing some errand from work although it’s Sunday. “Jiwon-ah.” I softly call out making her turn from the kitchen counter. She was making herself a glass of milk. “Yup.” She answers and walked to me while holding the glass. “You know you should take a rest from work from now on. It’s been pretty stressful in the office, hm?” I ask and she looks up for a while, thinking about something. “Maternity leave usually starts 11 weeks away from the due date so. . . it’s too early right now.” She then answers after some time.

“No, not maternity leave. I mean you can just stay at home like a housewife. I’ll take care of everything, don’t worry.” I simply answer. I see her having a stiff face for a while as she gulps her milk down. “H-housewife?” She then asks while her upper lip. “Yea, like a housewife.” I repeat myself before putting my laptop down aside for a while. I grab the glass of milk from her. “Can I drink this or is this different from the normal milk?” I ask. “Uhm, it’s especially made for pregnant women so. . .” She answers still with her flustered face. “Aigoo, so cute.” I give the glass back and poke her chubby cheek before walking to the kitchen. I open a jar in the corner of the counter and take one piece of cookie out.

She baked some yesterday.

“Yah, that’s mine.” I hear her whine.

I simply turn around and take a bite on the cookie purposely showing it to her.

She groans so adorably and I just grin while chewing.

“That’s mine~” I mimic her before walking back to the couch again. That’s until she poked me on my side – my ticklish side. “Eh—yah!” I flinch and jump away from her. “That’s the last time you’re getting from my cookie jar.” She grunts before putting her glass of milk down to simply fold her arms on her chest, as if trying to scare me out. “Uh-huh?” I chuckle in response before taking another bite on the cookie. “You’re annoying.” She mutters. “Uh-huh?” I coolly hiss before reaching for her waist to tickle her as well. She moves away while groaning. “No.” She grunts and tries to poke me back.

“No?” I ask and that’s my cue to go on.

I begin moving closer while aiming for her ticklish spot.

“N-no—Baekhyun!” She squeal and sat down the couch while hugging the throw pillow in front of her to cover herself. “What? I didn’t hear you!~” I laugh back as I reach for her armpits. “No! Yah~” She laughs uncontrollably while trying to push me away. “Baekhyun I’m serious! I’m gunna hate you forever if you don’t stop!” She shouts and that’s when I immediately stop while staring at her. “Good.” She rolls her eyes while obviously holding her laugh. She stands up ready to walk away when I grab her by the waist and pull her down making her sit right on my waist. “Omo, are you a marshmallow, why are you so light?” I ask and she giggles uncontrollably while slapping my arms that are now wrapped around her waist just lightly.

“No~ I won’t let go.”

She giggles non-stop until I started her baby bump. “Hansol-ah. . . can you hear that voice? She sounds like an angel, right? That’s your mom’s voice.” I mutter as if talking to a real full-grown baby. Then I hear a sigh coming from Jiwon so I smile. “You know, it’s like we’re together but we’re not together.” I say making her completely move away from my lap but instead sat beside me. “You’re making it hard.” She mutters while covering her face. “What?” I ask while grinning. She only shook her head. “Hey.” I hush and try to remove her hand from her face. When I succeeded, I held both of her hands while looking down to it. “Jiwon-ah, I understand what’s wrong. You’re jus—“No, you don’t understand.” She muffles and pulls away. She stayed seated but looked straight ahead. “I just. . . feel like everything’s not real. I mean, I always lived worrying about others. While you. . . you have always lived full of hatred and like. . . I don’t know what’s happening or. . . if it will last.” She mutters with a sad tone. “You’ve changed in just a snap. I don’t. . . I don’t know what I did.
