You remember putting his number in one of the drawers of the nightstand in your room. You walked in ready to ignore GiKwang but he was in the shower. You grabbed the number and your phone and walked outside. You didn't want GiKwang to accidentally overhear the conversation.

You found a bench and dialed the number.

"Hello?"

"DooJoon-shii? This is MiNah."

"Oh yeah. I was wondering when you were going to call." His voice was so soothing you felt yourself relaxing instantly.

"I hope I'm not disturbing you DooJoon-shii. I know it's really late."

"Call me oppa please! Don't worry I was just looking over some schedules but just finished."

"Hahaha I don't even call GiKwang that."

"Fine I'll settle for DooJoon. So are you in need of some help or is GiKwang being a pabo?"

"Well, a little of both. Mostly GiKwang being a pabo though."

"Tell me what happened."

You spent the next ten minutes spilling your guts to DooJoon. You didn't leave a single thing out, you told him everything from the first day you met him to what just happened before you stepped out. He never interrupted and only made agreeing sounds every once in a while to let you know he was still there.

"I thought that it would be like this for the first three months but it's not getting any better and I'm getting really frustrated."

He finally spoke up, "I know you're making a big effort and if it had been anyone else they would've given up by now, I truly believe that, but I have to agree with the president. People just don't understand the amount of effort we put into making these groups. We trained three months for a 2 minute stage. I find it amazing how he found so much time to spend with you then."

"Then is it in my head?"

"No it's not. His priority is his career and you said you supported him. One day you'll have what you want and be open about your relationship but right now the effort and energy he would be putting into your marriage is focused on his career. He's going to be even busier because he has a lot of offers to be mc and host shows on the table right now."

"How is that fair to me?!"

"It's not. I'm sorry I wish I could tell you that everything is going to be alright but if you want to keep your marriage going then you're going to have to do his part too."

You felt tears run down your cheeks. You didn't know it was going to be this hard. You felt lonely like you did before you met him but it hurt more. You had someone you loved but you couldn't have him.

"How long do I have to live like this?"

"Once we pass our rookie stage it'll be better. Try to hold on until then MiNah okay?"

"Okay. Thanks DooJoon I really feel better."

"I'm sorry I couldn't give you a more romantic answer."

"It's fine I don't want sweet, I want it to work. And I'll do anything to make that happen."

You thanked him a few more times and hung up. With new determination, you walked back to your apartment. GiKwang was in bed, you crawled in next to him and hugged him so your face was in his chest.

"Where did you go?", his voice still had some irritation in it.

"Fresh air...do you remember the park where I first told you I loved you?"

His body and voice softened up. He wrapped his arms around you, "Yeah I remember. You really surprised me haha."

"I wanna go there for our 1 year anniversary."

"Okay. We'll go there. Just don't do the same thing you did that night when you pretended not to remember the date! "

"Hahaha okay I promise. Besides with being in the house all the time it'll be the only thing I'll look forward to."

He pulled away a bit so he could look you in the eyes, "So does that mean that you'll quit?"

"Yeah if we can be together more then I'll do it. We promised to make us work no matter what remember?"

"Yeah. I'll take care of you MiNah."

You stayed like that the rest of the night. That feeling in your gut that says there's something wrong settled back down and you put your trust in him once more.
