Sunggyu’s POV

I smiled contented with what was happening right before my eyes.

Sure. Woohyun is one of the most caring members amongst all of us, but I’ve never seen him help somebody to that extent. He wouldn’t risk getting himself embarrassed in front of many people. And a while ago, there was a high possibility of him getting the song wrong because he honestly does not know the song. Or if he did, he wouldn’t know it that well.

How do I know? It’s simple.

First off, that was not at least one of the songs that he used to sing back then. I know because he’s been my roommate and he keeps playing his favorite songs all the time, may it be new or old. Second, I know him all too well, especially when he sings. And a while ago, I could see the hesitation in his eyes while he was singing, as if he wasn’t sure if he got the note right. But I’m glad that in the end, they actually got through that performance.

Everybody in the party applauded, entranced by their performance. I could tell that they were curious about who Yerim was because who was she to be on the same stage as Woohyun? But I think they decided to just put that thought aside for a while to appreciate this girl’s talent.

“Hey man! That was awesome Yerim!” Hoya said giving a high five to her and Woohyun.

The other members, including me, did the same and congratulated them, giving them those high fives and handshakes.

“Yah! I didn’t know you sing that good Yerim!” Sungyeol said.

“Oh please. She couldn’t really be THAT good.” Do Yeon Ri commented, rolling her eyes.

Psh. If I knew better, you’re just bitter because you pretty little plan failed.

“If I only knew, I’d befriend you first before Woohyun hyung did! Is it already too late Yerim?” Sungyeol jokingly continued what he was saying, completely ignoring Yeon Ri like all the rest of us.

“Hi! I’m Sungyeol. Infinite’s height?” We all laughed at his description of himself. “Nice too meet you Miss Yerim! I hope we can become really close friends!” He smiled cheekily as he stretched out his hand for a handshake.

“And I’m a much better person than Woohyun hyung! You should stay away from him and just be friends with me!”

“Yah! Sungyeol-ah! What’s that supposed to mean?! And NO! I was close with her first, so too bad for you!” Woohyun crossed his arms and stuck his tongue out to tease Sungyeol.

“Nice to meet you Mister Sungyeol.” Yerim played along as she chuckled and shook Sungyeol’s hand.

“Yah! Yerim-ah! Why did you shake his hand? Do you not want to be friends with me anymore?!” Woohyun said pouting at Yerim.

“Hey Woohyun. I didn’t say anything like that. You were the one assuming.” She teasingly smiled at him, shrugging her shoulders.

“Hyung! Just you wait! We’ll be close in no time!” Sungyeol laughed, feeling full of himself. Woohyun just looked at him annoyingly.

We all just shook our heads, feeling bad for these two immature men in front of us while Yeon Ri just glared at Yerim and got her bag.

“I’m going! Congratulations again on your concert! You did a really good job Myungsoo oppa!” She smiled sweetly at Myungsoo but he just ignored her remark. I shivered on my inside when I saw her smile like that. Note to self. Never see Yeon Ri smile like that again. It doesn’t fit her.

“Why? It’s still early and you’re going home already? How about the game?” Dongwoo asked following her.

Tsk. Why is he doing this?! It’s already a good thing that she voluntarily excused herself from the party and we didn’t have to think of something to make her go away.

“Uhm. No thanks. I’d better be going.” She looked disgustingly at Dongwoo and went on her way to the exit. Dongwoo returned to our seat with a frown on his face.

What was up with this guy? It couldn’t be that… No… No… That’s impossible. Stop thinking about things like that Sunggyu and focus on what’s happening now.

Everybody in the table was engrossed in their own conversations so I just decided to keep quiet and listen to them, or at least one of them.

“Yerim-ah! It’s still a bit early right?” Woohyun said taking a sip of his drink from his cup.

“Hmm… I think so… Why do you ask?” She replied putting the weight of her head on her right arm.

“You want to eat ddeokbokki right now?” Woohyun asked asking permission from Yerim.

“Oh really?! We have ddeokbokki here?!” She sat up straight upon hearing his statement with her eyes big wide open.

“No pabo. We could go out to eat you know. 606 remember?” He smiled at her.

I wanted to laugh and tease Woohyun at this moment, but I think that’d be too rude of me to ruin their ‘moment’. Instead I caught the attention of the other members so I wouldn’t be all alone in this.

“Uhm. I don’t know. You’re supposed to stay here right? I mean we can’t just leave this place…” Yerim hesitated and looked at us. I think she noticed that we were listening to their conversation or maybe she was just asking permission from us.

“Oh. No. It’s okay Yerim. You guys can go if you want.” I told, shaking my head and smiling at her.

“Yeah yeah yeah. Don’t worry about HaeRin! We’ll keep her company and your place is just near ours so we can drop her off when we go home!” Dongwoo said, putting his arm around HaeRin and smiling giddily at Woohyun and Yerim.

“Aish. You guys. Just go already okay?” Sungjong said as she pulled Woohyun and Yerim to stand up. “No need to worry about anything. Have fun hyung and Yerim!” He told them as he gave them their things and pushed them outside, not even giving them the time to talk back or disagree.

Woohyun’s POV

“Aww... It’s such a waste!” Yerim thought out loud, getting sad, as we saw the restaurant in front of us.

Here we were, standing in front of the restaurant with our hands in our pockets as we just stared quietly to our front.

“I know. I know. Tsk. And here I was, excited to eat.” I pouted at my statement, still staring at the structure that was supposed to be bright and noisy, but it was quite dark and calm as of the moment.

So here’s the thing. We went to our restaurant at this time of the night, after being more or less tired from the concert and party, just to know that they were temporarily closed because they were under renovation. What a great way to end our day, really.

“What do we do now Woohyun-ah? I’m really hungry right now, and apparently, this restaurant is closed. Yah! What do we do?!!!” She stomped her feet on the ground, irritated. She looked like she was going to cry because of her anger, but at the same time she was annoyed by the situation.

“Hey. Don’t worry Yerim-ah. There’s a convenient store near here. Maybe we can just buy some food there?” I asked her, pointing to the nearby convenient store with some vendors in front, selling some accessories and clips.

“Psh. Fine fine. This is 606! But there’s nothing we can do. As if we have any other choice. Maybe we could just grab some ramyeon to fill our stomachs.” She said, irritation evident in her voice, while she walked away really fast towards the store.

Aish. Is she mad at me now because I forced her to eat out with me and we ended up not being able to eat at the restaurant? It’s not my fault, right?

“Y-yah!. Yerim-ah! Wait for me!” I jogged instead of walking to catch up to her.

Man, this girl walks fast.

Yerim’s POV

I got my chopsticks and started eating the ramyeon in front of me while Woohyun did the same. As of this moment, we were sitting down quietly here outside the convenient store. They set up some tables and chairs here for their customers. We just ate our food, observing our surroundings, and not talking to each other.

It’s not that we were mad at each other. Maybe we were just really hungry that we needed to fill our stomachs first before we have the energy to talk.

I was just observing these people going on with their lives when I saw a guy that was acting kind of weird. It looks like he was frantically looking for something or somebody. Then I saw him change his mood into a calm one when he saw the girl that I think was looking at the accessories that were displayed.

My speculations were confirmed when I saw the guy hug the girl from behind.

Aww. Isn’t that sweet?

“Yah. Where did you go? I just took my eyes off you for one second, then you’re gone. You should’ve told me where you were going. I was so worried.” He continued to hug the girl as he said that.

From my peripheral view, I could see that Woohyun was also watching them.

So maybe I’m not the only one who finds them cute? I chuckled lightly to myself.

“Yah. Don’t overreact. These accessories just caught my eyes and I couldn’t help but look at them. Don’t worry too much okay?” She looked at her boyfriend behind and smiled sweetly at him. I myself couldn’t help but smile at them too.

“Of course I would be worried. Because it’s you. I always think that something’s going to go wrong.” He replied to her with a worried look still painted upon his face.

“You must be going crazy.” The girl sighed and just laughed at him as she paid the seller for the accessory that she bought. And with that, they walked away together, hand in hand.

“Because it’s you. I get this pathetic because I think something’s going to go wrong, that you’re going to go the wrong way.” I said my thought out loud as I watched the couple walk away.

“Even when I have you by my side, even when I’m holding your hand, I pathetically have
useless worries. Hysterie.” Woohyun suddenly said out of the blue, adding the statement to the previous ones I said.

“When we’re doing fine, I look at you and I go crazy. Hysterie?” I turned my head to look at Woohyun as I said those lines. And it hit me.

“Woohyun! Omigod! We should write this down! We could totally make a song out of this!” I shouted feeling excited and hyper as I got some paper and pen from my bag.

“Weren’t you quiet just a while ago? You seem so hyper now.” He laughed at me and he also told me to lower my voice down so that people wouldn’t recognize who he was.

“Oh. Sorry Woohyun-ah. Ah... And it’s okay if you don’t want to write the song. I can totally understand and ---“ I was about to put back my pen and paper to my bag when he snatched them away from me.

“No! No! I agree to this! We should write the song! It would be really fun!” And after he said that, he started to write the lyrics.

So our depressing night, turned into a happy one because we found something enjoying to do. We spent the whole night trying to let our ideas flow out, fixing the lyrics, and thinking of some tunes.

I would lie if I would say that I didn’t enjoy the night, or any of the times I’m with Woohyun. I can’t deny the fact that whenever we’re together, there’s just this unexplainable feeling I feel which makes me happy. The last time I felt like this was when I was with... him.

No... No... I can’t be like this again. I promised myself that I won’t be hurt again.

What exactly am I feeling for Woohyun? Why is he doing this to me?! This can’t be...
