Second day : Chapel
Night School [Hiatus]
- Up the hill there is a tower - Suga pointed and Jungkook followed envision a structure -. Seems that before it was a castle or something, but now it's all ruined. The tower is impeccable. If we climb even up there, we could see everything. Some say that you can see Yangsan up there , but when I was there, I just saw trees and fields.
Skirting the foot of the hill,they reached a long stone wall.
- What is this? - Jungkook asked .
- You're going to see.
After a few minutes, they arrived at a wooden door with an antique appearance - although it was closed with a padlock with code, creating a modern and incongruous effect. With that clearance that comes from experience, Suga was running three numbered discs to get the right combination, after which the lock opened with a click.
Opening the door, he crouched down not to hit his head in the doorway, which was very low, and entered. Jungkook followed Suga and carefully closed the door, guarding the padlock in his pocket.
- Oh, awesome ! - Jungkook whispered, admiring the huge walled garden, impeccably maintained. Shrubs and plants organized in rows of a militaristic precision, as straight as the barrel of a gun. Incidental saw fruit trees, raising it up toward the sun from dawn wall. All around, the flowers spilled a mixture of vivid pink tones, white and purplish.
A cobbled road stretched by the edge of the garden and Suga followed it.
- Welcome to my favorite place in Cimmeria Academy.
- It's amazing! How did you found it?! And how do you know the combination lock?
- Hmm .... It was more or less accidental. I had to work here when I took a disciplinary sanction in the first year that I was here. At first I hated having to get up every day at six to come here, but in the end of a week, I realized I was going to miss thisplace. I don't know why. This place is quiet.
Jungkook wondered what had his friend done to deserve a punishment for a week, but as Suga not willingly gave him this information, he decided not to ask. Furthermore, it did not seem very difficult to be punished there in the academy.
Suga cut left into a path that extended through the gardens, past a source of classic style where a beautiful young girl with flowing robes and with a slightly damaged nose, had been eternally petrified pouring water over the rocks; skirting a clump of blueberries, followed by a granite path on the other side.
- Now I come to work here after school and on weekends. And also sometimes I come here when I want a bit of privacy.
Through purple wisteria that lined the walls stood a wooden bench and partially hidden , Suga went to sit there, inviting Jungkook to do the same with a gesture. Jungkook gathered his legs and hugged his knees, breathing in the fresh scent of flowers.
- Here we can talk - said Suga - Indeed, perhaps this is the only place here in Cimmeria where no one can hear us. As you have noticed, this is a very noisy school. Moreover, how are things going ? Being here must be very strange for you. I remember my early days, I found the school an oddity.
- It will seem to you a crazy reply: I hate being here, but in a way, also love.
Suga smiled amicably.
- Actually, I understand you perfectly.
- It is very different from any other school I've been before, you know ...? And we have many homeworks to do. But ..... - Jungkook looked thoughtful for a moment. - Is not my life and that is what pleases me. Don't look anything like what my life has been over the last two years and anything would be better than that.
Suga pondered on that answer.
