Jungkook heard his father's voice , - rising above the constant din of a police station on a Friday night in mid-summer -  as sharply as if he was standing before her . He stopped twisting his fingertips on the sweater and ansiously looked towards the door .

- I can not tell you how much I appreciate this . I m very sorry for the inconvience - I heard him say. I perfectly knew that tone; denoted humiliation. Father felt humiliated by the cause. Jungkook heard another male's voice but could not understand well what was being said and then his father said:

- Yes , we are taking action and appreciate your advice . We will discuss this issue and make a decison tomorrow.

A decision ? What kind of decison ?

At that moment the door opened and his brown eyes met the fatigued hazel one of his father. Jungkook felt his heart clench , but only slightly . With unshaved and rumpled clothes, he looked older. And extremely tired. 

His father handed some forms to a agent that put them at the pile of paperwork on her desk without iving them a glance into a drawer , taking out an envelope with Jungkook's stuff , which she slid on top the desk , right into his hands . Withou looking at either of the two , said , as expressive as a robot :

- You have been entrusted to the custody of your father. You can leave .

Jungkook stands nervously and followed his father through a sucession of narrow corridors, well-lit , to the main entrance of the station .

When they came out, into the fresh summer air , breathing deeply .

The relief to be no longer in the polece station mixed with anxiety from the expression on his father''s face .  The two headed to the car in silence . On the opposite side of the street , the father unlocked the black Ford , who greeted them with a incongruously cute and excited beep.

When his father started the engine; Jungkook turned towards him with a very serious look and with ees b with justifications.

- Dad...

He kept looking ahead with his jaw tensed.

- Jeon Jeongguk , it's not worth it .

- Not woth what ?

- It's not worth saying anyhting . Let yourself  just ... sit there.

After those words , the trip was made in silence . When they got home , he got out without another word . Jungkook ran awkwardly to him fear growing inside of him . His did not seem angry, he seemed .... empty.

Jungkook climbed the stairs and walked down the hall, past the empty room os his brother. In the safety of his room , he looked closely in the mirror. He looked awfull , his chocolate hair was damped with sweat , eye-liner smudged , and semeeledof sweat and fear.

- Well , - he said to his reflection -  it could have been worse.
