Upon entering the dining room, he stood there for a moment ,again, the space completely changed.
Huge windows along one wall let in the sunlight, which was cut by white shutters. The lighted candles and sparkling glasses were gone. Almost all the tables were empty, just covered with white cloths. The food served in buffet , ten varieties of cereals, and piles of sliced bread ready for toasting . There were silver platters with heatedd eggs, bacon and sausages.
To the smell the food, Jungkook realized that he was starving again. Filled his plate of toast, cheese and scrambled eggs, served also a glass of apple juice and then took a place in one of the empty tables. Didn't recognize any of the students there in the room which, in a way, it was nice. Barred toast with butter and jam and gave it a mighty bite.
- Is this seat taken?
Trying not to chew with his mouth open, Jungkook looked and encountered Jin standing there. He shook his head without saying a word and struggled to swallow the foodin his mouth , but failed, eventually making a grimace when the food went down his throat. For the first time, it seemed that an extraordinary smile came to that boy's eyes .
- No ... I mean, you can sit there. Please. Sit ....
Sitting , beside him without a shadow of embarrassment, Jin tasted his bacon.
- How was the first night here? I was looking for you at the lounge but couldn't find you.
Feeling his heart race, Jungkook resolutely looked down at the cheese on his plate, so Jin doesn't see how his comment had left him satisfied.
- There was a lot to read yesterday's night. I thought it best to try and get to know as much as possible about this place for, you know how it is, be prepared for today, because this is the first day and all.
With a nod, Jin took a considerable bite of his toast.
- I remember I had had the same feeling on my first day. It seems they want us to be to know everything about Cimmeria at once. I think the information they provide us is more than ... - He hesitated, seeming to be trying to remember the words, which only served to make him look even more adorable - .... The size of the school. Does it make sense?
Delighted Jungkook could not help but smile.
- I know exactly what you mean. It is disproportionate.
- Right that . Disproportionate . - Jin smiled and Jungkook again felt his heart jump.
Stop it , firmly ordered himself . He's just being polite .
They were eating in silence for some time , just making each other company .
- So - he then said - you guys hre often go to the lounge room .. ? Sounds cool.
Great « small talk » Jungkook . Yes , sir .
Drinking a sip of his latte , Jin seemed to find the question perfectly normal .
- Generally, it is for the lounge room or the library that almost we all go after dinner . But in the summer when it is warmer , many prefer to go outside . Last night I was out there playing nightly basket . That was why I was looking for you . I thought you might want to join us .
Jungkook stopped with the fork suspended in the air, almost inside of his mouth .
- They were playing basket yesterday ? In the dark ?
- That way is more fun . You know , I found that almost all the games get more exotic if they are played at night . - Jin 's gaze fixed in Jungkook's eyes in just a second longer than necessary.
Suddenly Jungkook lost his appetite . Turning away from Jin's face , he glanced all round the room .
