Chaeyoung glumly slipped into her apartment. The silence of the place only emphasised her soft breathing and splintering heart. She absently thought of Sehun’s genuine confession and her wounding answer.   There was a sudden bang that resonated through the building, and Chaeyoung swiftly strode to her room where the noise had emanated from. She yanked her door open just to see Kris dusting his collared shirt, getting up from the floor.   Her window was wide open and it was not hard to click how he’d got inside.   “What are you doing here?” Chaeyoung demanded, her eyes narrowing lethally at the tall noble.   Kris shrugged his shoulders, finally deciding to acknowledge her presence by turning to face her, “Took you long enough.”   Chaeyoung clenched her fist. She was tempted to struck Kris with a blow but she wouldn’t….not just yet.   Kris casually picked at his hair strands, flicking them back into perfection. It was either he was choosing to ignore Chaeyoung’s anger or just be plain oblivious.   “Well since you’re here now. We should be leaving.” He smirked, lifting his gaze and staring at her. Despite the powerful aura around him, Chaeyoung snarled at him, “What are you doing here?”   “We’ve found the remainders of Tao’s memories strips.” He casually said leaning against the bed. “I’ve already packed your stuff so there’s no need to worry about it.” He proudly presented a big, black pack.  “There’s no need to thank me-“   “What do you mean we should be leaving?” Chaeyoung asked in a low, murderous voice causing the wolf to smirk. “Don’t you want to finish this mission already?”   Chaeyoung nodded slowly and Kris simply laughed, flicking his hair to the side. “Oh, by the way. Do you possibly know where Tao lives? He’ll be joining us on our trip for obvious reasons.” -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-   “Everything ready?” Sehun asked, clutching onto his duffle bag that rested near his white converses.    Suho dipped his head to indicate a ‘yes’ and Sehun nodded back, his face still in the same condition as he strolled in the house earlier. “Then let’s go.” He slung the bag over his broad shoulder and pushed the glass door open.   The wolves spilled out the house, passing it with a long look. Sehun closed his eyes for a moment, forcing himself to not falter in his decision.   He chose to leave, and it was for the better.   He convinced his wolf for the past long hours to not think of his mate but it was impossible. Every thought he had until now was filled with her red hair, golden eyes, her rare smiles and contagious laughter. He shook his head to deflate of the memories. He shoved his hand deep into his woolly sweater and dragged his feet along the moist grass.
