Yes, That SM Entertainment...
Two Different WorldsYOUR POV
"Wake up, young lady. You're almost late!" Mum knocked on my door. Lazily I opened my eyes and glanced at the clock. Crap, it's a quarter past seven. I got up and hurriedly prepared to go to school.
It had been a month since the first time I came to this country and nothing good had ever happened to me so far. I still did not understand what people were saying and the culture here was plainly different from my country. Never felt more depressed than this before.
--
First class started fifteen minutes ago. Before entering the school gate, I called Ye Eun. "Where are you?"
"Home," she calmly replied. What?!
"What are you doing at home?"
"Ah~ Didn't I tell you? My dad is coming back from Japan today. I gotta pick him up at the airport."
"I see…," I sighed. "Guess I have to weather this rough world alone today."
She must have noticed the frustration in the tone of my voice because she continued, "I'll be at my dad's office at twelve. Just go home early at lunch time, tell them you're sick. I'll text you the address, let's meet up there. How does that sound?"
"Cool. See you later." I couldn't force myself not to smile.
--
Ye Eun was the first friend I had here. We met on my first day at school. She was a very nice girl and we instantly became inseparable. She was fluent in English, so communicating to her was never a problem. I was arriving in front of this big, magnificent building when my phone suddenly rang. It was from Ye Eun. "Have you arrived yet?"
"Yeah. I'm getting out of the cab now."
"Okay. See you in the lobby."
When I finally saw Ye Eun, I realized that she wasn't alone. She was with a guy. I approached her and she introduced me to her friend. "Hey ______, this is Minho. He's working under my dad's company." She then turned to that guy and explained something in Korean then that guy smiled at me and shook my hand, "Hi, I'm Minho."
God bless this guy. His smile was the most stunning smile I had ever seen in life. I looked at Ye Eun and she just giggled. "My name's ______. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too," he smiled again. Gosh, he really needed to stop smiling like that.
Ye Eun put her hand on my shoulder and we started moving. "Let's go find something to eat."
We went to the canteen inside the building. I wondered which company it was. How could someone as beautiful as that Minho guy worked in this company? What was exactly Ye Eun's father's job?
When I and Ye Eun went to the toilet and left Minho alone waiting for food to come, I asked Ye Eun everything. "Your dad's company seems cool. The building, the person he works with." I was referring to Minho and Ye Eun laughed.
"Ah, yeah. I haven't told you...," she said. "My dad's a senior director here. This is SM Entertainment. Do you know Super Junior, DBSK or Girls Generation?"
I nodded. Who the hell in Asia didn't know Super Junior, DBSK and Girls Generation. One of my cousins were an hardcore fan of Super Junior & DBSK. I never really knew them, though. Wait, wait, could it be...? "Is this...?"
"Yep. That SM Entertainment," she smirked. "Cool, isn't it?"
I gotta admit, in some way, it is. Some people would trade their souls for life like Ye Eun's. LOL. I could take a picture with Minho and see who would go crazy after seeing the photo. Anyway, I got pretty curious about it so I asked Ye Eun, "Which group does Minho belong to?"
Ye Eun answered as we walked back to our table, "SHINee."
