As soon as Krystal put down the phone, the phone rang

again.

L: suzy?

Me: Yeah...

I wasn't feeling very well already, at that point of time.

L: Why do you sound like that? Is something wrong?

Suzy : Huh... Nothing...

L: I'll meet you later at the court, ok?

Suzy: Ok... Bye

What could I do?

Tell him, "Damn you, two timer!" or ... Never mind...

Maybe it wasn't true afterall...

Maybe that girl was just some...Argh!!!! I should trust him...

Me: Mom, can I go downstairs?

Mom: Sure

She was converting back to the normal 'her'.

I opened the door and walked down to the court. L was already sitting there waiting for me.

I sat down beside him looking at the court, not catching his gaze...

L: Oh my god...

He shouted at my ear as he unfold my sleeves up to reveal the scars and bruises left after the 'caning' session.

Me: Go away

I push him away from me.

Me: And this, I'm returning to you.

I took out his handphone and placed it on the bench betweenthe small gap in between us.

L: What's wrong with you?

Me: Nothing is wrong with me...

I said out as I stared at him in the eye, trying to find out if the Krystal thing is real.

Me: A girl by the name of Krystal rang you up and told you to call her back just now.

I tried to make my voice seems calm and normal.

L: Oh...

I turned to look at him that minute. He was avoiding my gaze. So... Krystal is real...?

I felt my heart start to sour up. I have to go before i cry infront of him...

Me: L......

I called his name out softly.

He turned to me and our gaze met.

L:  Yea..?

Me: The sky's getting dark. I should go home now.

L: Ok...

He's not going to see me back? ... I looked back from time to time as I walked away from the place.

Then... I saw him picked up the phone as he dialled a number and speak...

I think I could faintly hear this word...

L: Krystal...

Krystal? Why the hell is there such a person...

I lay in my bed that night as I thought of everything that had happened since I first knew L

No...I don't know him really that well... I felt so bad, I don't know what to do now...

Suddenly, I remembered that Krystal had mentioned that he promised to go to her house tonight.

I looked at my clock, 11pm.

Should I call to check?

Before I had the time to chicken out, the line went through.

Me: Er... Ha..halo?

Krystal: Who is that?

Me: I... I... I am looking for L

L: Krys, who is that?

He said in a rather sleepy voice.

Krystal: Aiya, he's not free now. Is anything the matter?

You can tell me, it's the same one...

Me: Nothing, bye.

I ended the call.

Can I pretend that nothing had ever happened?
