Chapter 44

False Awakening

“Are you awake?” Minho whispered, nuzzling the tip of his nose against Taemin’s cheek as the younger boy regained consciousness.

Taemin groaned, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. His hips were sore. “Good morning.” He managed before yawning.

“Minnie, did you know bedhead really suits you? You look so cute.”

When Taemin’s vision cleared up, he looked down to see Minho lying down beside him, hearing the sound of a shutter before seeing a camera in his hands. “Hyung, don’t take a picture of me! I just woke up, I look awful!”

He tried shielding himself behind his arms, but Minho’s soft fingers easily guided them away. “No, you look great, trust me. Just let me take a picture. I’ll only take one more. Please?”

Taemin shook his head, leaving the elder pouting and throwing him a pleading look. Guilty, he agreed. “Just one, okay?”

Minho nodded happily, raising the camera to his eye as he focused it and took the picture.

“Ah, but now I need to take one with my phone so I can always have it with me.” The elder stated, pulling his phone out of his pocket.

“What? No! You said you’d only take one!” Taemin argued as Minho sat up beside him, pulling him close while his outstretched arm positioned itself in front of them. Seeing himself for the first time since he woke up, Taemin blushed at the mess of hair on his head and the visible, albeit barely, bags under his eyes. “Hyung, I look horrible!” He whined, hiding his face in Minho’s neck. “Tae, you look fine! Here, turn your head, I’ll give you a little kissy-kiss.”

“Hyung, stop acting cute, you’re not cute. I don’t want to…”

“Really? You really don’t want to?”

Taemin stayed quiet, feeling Minho’s arm wrap around him. Sighing, he lifted his hand, fingers resting on Minho’s jawline as the elder’s lips pressed against the corner of his own.

The moment the picture was taken, Minho’s arm dropped, continuing their morning kiss. “Oh, I have something I kind of wanted to show you.” Taemin mumbled into the kiss. When they heard footsteps though, that ceased too, leaving them to pull apart.

“Hyung, I made you some breakfast. Come downstairs and eat it, okay?” Jongin said from the doorway.

Taemin nodded, getting up and following him.

From that point on in the day, Minho, or anyone really, had a tough time getting Taemin away from the boy. It seemed as if from yesterday night, Jongin wouldn’t leave him alone.

Everywhere Taemin went, Jongin was found with him, and everywhere Jongin went, Taemin would be pulled along.

Minho was stuck watching Taemin from afar the rest of the day. “It seems like you’ve been ditched, Minho.” Heechul joked. “They look like they’re the couple here. They’re even holding hands.”

“Just because they are doesn’t mean anything. Friends can hold hands. Besides, I’m not worried. It’s probably just for today that I’m stuck with you anyways.”

It wasn’t until when Jongin had fallen asleep that the blonde snuck away, leaving the boy in bed.

He rendezvoused with Minho downstairs on the couch, wasting precious hours of sleep to make up for the lost time.

He brought a black bag along, handing it to Minho.

“What is it?” The elder asked.

“Ruki gave it to me for my birthday. He said it was for both of us. Look inside.”

Minho looked inside, snorting.

“Wow. That’s, um… that’s great. Are you ever even going to use this stuff?”

“Only if you’re with me.”

“There’s no point of me being there if you’re using one of these. You can only fit so much inside you.” Minho chuckled, lifting one of the toys out and examining it.

“But I think we can use this together.” He began, pulling out the blindfold. “You would like something like this? Being tied up and having no control? You know what that means right? I could do anything I want to you and you wouldn’t even be able to tell me to stop.”

“Doesn’t that sound nice, though? You can have your way with me.” Taemin whispered, slipping his hand beneath Minho’s shirt, feeling his abs.

“Someone’s playful, aren’t they?” Taemin nodded, adjusting himself so that he straddled the older boy.

“Hyung, please be gentle with me.” The blonde teasingly whined into his ear, on the elder’s bottom lip. He felt the area between Minho’s legs grow harder against his own, offering an innocent giggle. It soon became more predominant, pressing into Taemin’s crotch. “Hyung…” He moaned, getting cut off my Minho’s tongue. “Taemin, you’re responsible for anything that happens now because you’re the one who brought this upon yourself.”

Using the last of their hours awake, they indulged in each other.

When Taemin couldn’t take anymore, Minho lifted the boy up and carried him back to bed.

Their train ride back proved to be harder than the one there. They had to wake up early which was difficult for Taemin and Minho, leaving them lagging behind the others. They skipped breakfast, rushing to pack the last of their things and wash up.

Getting on to the train once again, Taemin and Minho collapsed. They took their place next to each other.

Taemin folded his arms on the table, nearly drifting off. Before Minho did the same, he took a blanket out of his suitcase and folded it up, placing it underneath Taemin’s head as a pillow.

The younger boy his side, pulling Minho’s head into his lap with his one arm. Minho chuckled, finding himself completely hunched over.

                “Minnie, this is really uncomfortable.”

“No it isn’t. You can rest in my lap. It’s soft.”

Minho shook his head, sitting back up. He ruffled Taemin’s blonde locks, guiding the boy’s head to his shoulder instead. `

“It would be comfortable if I was in any other position.”

His hands found one of Minho’s holding onto it tightly. “Well then maybe some other time.”

“Yeah. Now get some rest while you can.”

                Taemin nodded, quickly falling asleep.

Had Minho not been focused on making Taemin feel comfortable and went to sleep right away, he wouldn’t noticed the glare coming his way from Jongin’s direction.

Finding a wave of cockiness wash over him, he pulled Taemin closer.

Finally locking eyes with Jongin who sat across the aisle with Ruki and Heechul, he offered a smile. “Are you feeling okay, Jongin? You don’t look too well.”

The youngest laughed awkwardly, shaking his head. “Oh, no, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”

Minho smirked. “Alright. If you don’t feel good, just tell us.”

With that, he went to sleep.

Hours later, they were back home. All had gone their separate ways, Taemin and Jongin walking home.

“You don’t have to carry my stuff, Jongin.”

“It’s on wheels, so I’m not really carrying it.”

                “You know what I mean.”

“Come here.” Jongin ordered, waving Taemin closer.

“What is it?” Taemin asked, stepping closer.

Jongin leaned in, kissing him on the cheek.

Smacking him on the head, Taemin sighed.

                “What are you doing?”

                “It’s not fair, Hyung.”

“What’s not fair?” Taemin asked as they neared the front step. He unlocked the door, holding it open for the younger boy.

“Why are you bias towards Minho hyung?”

“I didn’t do anything that would be considered bias towards him.”

They dropped their suitcases in the living room and right after Taemin undressed, he began unpacking.

“Sure you have, you’re just too bias to notice it. Why is it that he can act like he’s super close to you and brag about it but if I do anything, you get upset?”

“He and I are really close and so are we. Besides, he doesn’t brag about it or anything. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Taemin argued as he unfolded clothing, separating it into what had to get washed and what was good for putting away into the closet.

“Trust me, he shows off like and accessory when you don’t look.”

Taemin turned around, looking at the boy who was getting himself a cold glass of water. “He doesn’t do that. Minho’s a really nice guy.”

“Because you’re bias towards him and he’s bias towards you! It’s like watching a perfect bee argue a flawed flower’s perfection because the pollen suits its tastes specifically!”

                Jongin began raising his voice.

“I don’t care how you put it, Minho takes care of me.”

“Well I can take care of you too!”

                “That’s not the point!”

                “You’re just a stubborn .”

“I am not. Leave me alone. Unpack your stuff, you seem to be bored.”

                “Fine.”

He trudged over to his suitcase, sloppily unpacking his stuff in messy piles.

They sat in silence for a few minutes, up until Taemin had put the clothes into the washing machine and began preparing dinner.

After putting his things away, Jongin remained gloomy on the couch.

He would dramatize his sighs, making them ring throughout the house as he switched his positions over and over on the couch.

When he noticed that Taemin didn’t seem to be paying him any attention, he sat up.

Peeking over the back, he stared at the older boy.

After a few minutes, he pouted, standing up and making his way to him.

Jongin stepped up behind Taemin who was working over the stove and wrapped his arms around the boy.

Without a single word, Taemin knew it was an apology.

“I’m sorry…” Jongin whispered nevertheless, burying his face in Taemin’s hair, “I’m sorry I raised my voice earlier. I’m just jealous.”

                “Of?”

                “Minho.”

Taemin put his cooking on hold, turning around the face Jongin.

He didn’t hold a grudge and he wasn’t mad, but he didn’t exactly mind playing along with that façade either.

“Why should I forgive you?” He asked with a little sass.

                “What? Well… um, I mean… I don’t know, I guess… um… Hyung, please…”

“Well? What is it? Because I can’t seem to think of one.”

                “Hyung…”

Jongin didn’t have anything to say as he looked at Taemin, his expression changing. He looked like a hopeless, lost puppy, as if he was going to break out into tears any moment.

“Kai, I’m just kidding. Don’t worry about it.”

“Taemin! You can’t just act like that! It worries me!”

“You deserve it for calling me names.”

                “I said I was sorry!”

“If you’re really sorry then go set the table.”

“Okay.” He agreed, cupping Taemin’s cheeks before placing a kiss on his forehead.

He went for the plates, leaving Taemin rolling his eyes as he finished making the meal.

Jongin was patiently waiting for him at the table, tapping out some rhythm with his fork and knife.

“Aren’t you a musician?” The elder commented, forking some food onto his their plates.

“Mhm. I’ll buy a drum set and play for you. Or maybe I’ll buy a piano and write you a love song. I can serenade you all the time. You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”

Taemin smiled as he took a sip from his glass, nodding. “Well, I can’t say that doesn’t sound nice. Waking up and hearing a soft song, falling asleep to a lullaby. Wouldn’t that be grand?”

“If it’s what you want, then why don’t you just ask me to?” Jongin stated, reaching over the tabled to feed Taemin a spoonful of rice.

“Are you offering yourself as a butler?” The older boy questioned, gladly accepting the food.

“Oh who knows? Maybe. It wouldn’t be for free though.” He laughed, using the same spoon to feed himself.

“What do you want, huh? Twenty bucks an hour?”

“A kiss as a reward for every chore or job I do.”

Taemin laughed, shaking his head. “Then if you plan on working, you better plan on working for free.”

“Ah, tough crowd. Okay, I’ll think about it.”

“I’m feeding you and providing a roof over your head. That’s payment enough.”

They continued to talk about their vacation, reminiscing about the times they liked the best and complaining about how they still had a week of school ahead of them.

“Hey, I just got an idea. After we’re done washing everything, let’s make a fort out of pillows and sleep in it again. It’ll be a good way to close off our little break, don’t you think?” Jongin laughed, looking towards the bed as Taemin stood up from the table.

                “What? For real?”

“For real. We did it all the time as kids, didn’t we? Why not do it again? You can never grow out of making them. Forts are fun.”

“Okay, sounds good. I’m up for it.”

                “Then hurry up and eat.”

“I got it, I got it.”

Finishing the food, Jongin took liberty of washing the dishes. Taemin found all the pillows and sheets and brought them into one area, turning on the radio as he waited for the younger boy to finish.

Sooner than later he did, jogging over.

“Hey, what if we put the corners of the sheets on the corners of the front and back boards? It’ll be like a roof.”

“Oh, how innovative. Okay, I’ll help you with that.”

They both took a side, spreading it out as they pulled it over the metal corners.

With that done, they both went over to the pile of pillows, stacking them up on both sides, building walls.

Taemin stopped temporarily when a song he liked came on, grabbing Jongin and swinging him around. “Hyung, you’re so embarrassing.”

“Just dance with me for this song. I like it.”

                “Okay, fine.”

So they twirled and danced and got back to work.

Jongin couldn’t help but watch Taemin from that point on. His messy hair, his tapping foot, it all captivated him.

                “Taemin?”

                “Yeah?”

                “I love you.”

There was a moment of silence.

                “I need the green pillow.”

                “This one?”

                “Yeah.”

                “Here you go.”

                “Thanks.”

“No problem. Taemin, what if we get flashlights? It’ll be like camping.”

“That’s a good idea. There should be some over there.” The elder said, pointing to a shelf across the room.

“Oh, I had another idea too!”

                “What is it?” Taemin asked.

                “You’ll see a bit later.”

The blonde laughed. “Then don’t bring it up if you’re not going to tell me.”

“Yeah, but now you’ll have something to look forward to!”

                “If you say so.”

They continued to find new ways to renovate their pillow fort and before they knew it, the sun had gone down. They both changed into their pajamas, climbing inside.

“Too bad we can’t see this place lit up in all of its glory.” Jongin said, cracking the window open a little to let in the breeze.

Taemin was already lounging against a soft pillow with a laptop on his lap, getting a movie ready.

Jongin went inside, only now realising why they had outgrown fort making.

“Wow, it’s really small for two grown guys. “

“Then we just have to get uncomfortably close.” Taemin laughed, sitting up as much as possible for Jongin to slide in behind him, resting his back on the younger boy’s chest.

Jongin reached around, pressing the space bar on the keyboard, letting the movie play. Right after, he grabbed his phone, looking up a video and letting that play too.

“This was my idea. Isn’t it cool?”

Taemin snorted, finally hearing the sound from the phone.

                A familiar noise began playing.

“Cricket noises? That’s so lame. How did you think that would be cool?”

“I think it’s neat, it’s like the great outdoors! Besides, the video is a few hours long too.”

“Fine, fine. I won’t bug you about it too much, no pun intended. Anyways, hush. The movie is playing.”

                “Okay.”

He hadn’t seen it before, but like earlier, he could take his eyes off of Taemin.

His milky, smooth skin looked amazing. Jongin wanted it to himself. He wanted everything about Taemin to himself.

Suddenly, he remembered Minho’s possessive touching on the ride back. He felt immense satisfaction.

Guess who’s holding him now Minho, Jongin thought to himself.

Keeping him close, he didn’t notice himself falling asleep.

The next time he opened his eyes, the laptop was brightly lit, illuminating the tiny space they were in. It was looping at the start menu whereas the cricket noises had stopped completely.

Taemin’s head had fallen back, cutesy quiet snores coming from his lips.

“Taemin?” He whispered, getting no response. “Hyung?”

After several more confirmations, it was clear that the older boy was fast asleep.

Jongin closed the laptop, engulfing them in darkness as he set it aside.

Trying to get comfortable once again, he shifted, his hand accidently falling onto the older boy’s crotch.

He blushed, quickly lifting it off. “I’m sorry!” He whispered, albeit a bit loudly.

When he realised Taemin was deeply asleep, he paused.

Wait… if he’s asleep then he didn’t feel it, Jongin thought, does that mean?

                “Taemin…?”

After around a minute, he felt horrible about the thoughts beginning to develop in his head.

                If Taemin is sleeping…

He lowered he hand back where it originally fell, cupping Taemin’s bulge.

Silently, he waited for something, for anything. Any sign that the blonde knows what he’s doing.

When nothing came, he went on.

He pressed his palm into the area, his lips at the soft feeling.

Hesitantly, his fingers crawled up a bit.

They stopped at the waistband, brushing over it before sliding beneath just barely.

Taemin let out a small whine as his head turned to the side, causing Jongin’s heart to skip a beat, if not several.

He waited once more before continuing to slide his hand in, finally feeling the warmth of the blonde’s lower half directly.

began poking out from behind as well, a tent growing under the material.

Jongin’s free hand slowly pulled the elder’s pants and briefs down over his hips, revealing his manhood entirely. His lips gave into temptation, leaving a mark where he figured Taemin wouldn’t see, on the back of his shoulder.

God, this is horrible. I’m so horrible. But I can’t stop…

As gently as possible, he moved Taemin onto the bed.

Staring at the boys sleeping face, he only felt more conscious of his .

With his thumb running over Taemin’s lips, he parted them and leaning in, slid his tongue between them. The kiss was one sided, but it was the best thing he’d ever felt.

Pulling away, it took all he had to not rip the boy out of his dreamy state and do scandalous and things to him. It was even harder to freeze during the moments when Taemin squirmed and whined, making sure the boy wasn’t waking up.

Catching his breath, he slowly pressed into Taemin’s thigh. “I’m so sorry, Hyung…” He whispered.

Taemin’s member was also beginning to harden and Jongin wondered what kind of dream he would be having right now.

He felt sick, not physically but psychologically, as he took Taemin’s hand into his own, already having a plan for it. He wrapped it around his freshly revealed member, himself.

It killed him how slowly he had to go not to wake the boy up, but he’d settle for anything.

When precum gathered on the tip, he smeared it with the elder’s fingers, lifting it to his mouth and it off. He was twitching now, his becoming painfully hard. He needed to empty himself, but he could never do it right here.

He’d keep it in as long as possible though, he had to.

                “I love you… I love you Taemin… Oh God, I love you…”

He gasped, ing into the blonde’s hand.

“I love you so much…ngh… Crap, I’m going to come…”

He sat up quickly, patiently redressing Taemin although he was now stuck with an to deal with when he woke up. Scrambling out of bed he ran to the bathroom to finish.

He became a bit more vocal there, jerking himself off into the toilet.

When shot out and splattered onto the toilet seat, he finally relaxed.

The calmness was extremely finite as he soon reviewed the situation.

Crap, what did I just do?! How could I have just done that?!

What’s… What’s wrong with me?!

He crouched down, heart racing as he speedily attempted to clean his mess up.

Why am I such a up?

Flushing the toilet, he went to rinse his face with cold water, glaring at himself in the mirror.

“Well… what’s done is done…” He though out loud.

Grabbing a towel, he dried his face. The cold water had done nothing to his heated skin, the event proving too intense for him as his heart couldn’t seem to stop working overtime.

Opening the door, he wandered back into the night, praying to God that Taemin would never find out. But how could he? If Jongin wouldn’t tell him himself, there’s no other way for him to know.

Relieved with the thought, he sighed, climbing back into bed.

“That’s right… you’ll never know Taemin. You’ll never know what I’ve done to you. But I did it out of love okay? So don’t hate me if you do.”

He kissed Taemin once more, not as invasively this time.

Caressing his cheek, he agreed that one day, he’d make Taemin his.

A/N: Okay so I actually had to do some research and see if it was possible to sleep through stuff like s/s, etc, and apparently you can but I came across some really weird stuff on that journey and woah, the more you know.

Chapter 108: Dude, why am I just reading this now?! I... It feels weird that this is the end. It was so lovely and woah I can't believe how much you put into this story. Even though I wasn't here from the very start, I still feel how big a deal this is. I'll miss it too. I can imagine how different things will be now that you're finished and won't have the same routine, but don't feel sad. I think relief is a better option lol now you have this work to look back on while writing new things ^^ congratulations on seeing this through and being so consistent bc wow man, that was quite a schedule. I hope you'll continue to contribute more stories to the fandom (particularly 2min) haha good luck :) <3
