The next morning, Minhe takes her time walking to school. She needs time to sort out her hectic mind. 

First off.. Is Kris really the a Wu? A wave of hopelessness and despair washes over her. Now he is out of her reach. She can never ever be with him as long as she is her dad's daughter. Tears well up in her eyes. She stops walking and takes deep breaths.

She's stronger than this. This isn't something she should cry about. She won't cry; she shouldn't, because that would mean that all the bad thoughts she was having are true. And that's one wish she doesn't want granted. She rubs away her tears with the back of her hand and, with another deep breath, continues her walk to school.

As soon as she reaches the classroom, she warily looks inside, half hoping Kris is there, half hope he isn't. Her eyes sweep the room and there is no sign of Kris. Her heart tightens as she sees his empty seat. She dejectedly walks to her seat and plops down. *Is he trying to avoid me? Is he sick? Why didn't he come today? I wanted to talk to him..* Her eyes suddenly widen. She grabs her bag and runs out of the room as fast as she can towards Kris' house.

Kris suddenly became very still. In a solemn voice he said, "I'm not obliged to answer that question." He his heels and walked straight at you. When he was right in front of your face he said, "Forget you ever saw me Minhe. It's for the best."

*When he said forget you ever saw me.. Did he mean to forget his entire existence?!* That makes her run even harder.

Her lungs feel like they are about to explode but she's afraid to stop. Every second counts. She needs to know Kris is still here; she needs to know he didn't leave.

When she finally reaches his house, she rushes up the stairs and rings his doorbell. Once, twice, three times. She suddenly hears footsteps inside and her heartbeat picks up. She feels shaky and nervous all over.

The door finally opens and there stands Kris. When he sees her, his face hardens and his voice becomes hostile. "Minhe, why are you here?"

The sight of Kris makes her so flustered and happy. She suddenly feels very light headed and dizzy. "K-Kris. I'm so.. glad.."

Kris' eyes widen when she suddenly collapses into his arms. "H-Hey. Minhe? Wake up will you? This isn't funny." He shakes her but her eyes don't open. "Crap." He picks her up and carries her to his bedroom. Very gently he lays her down and pulls the covers over her. He gets a towel and dries all her sweat off. He carefully pushes her hair out of her face and sighs.

"Why did you come? Why did you have to see me then? None of this would've happened if I was more careful.." He looks at her serene face and cracks a small smile. "I don't know why you came here, but I guess everything's okay now, huh?" He runs his hand through his hair and sits down on the floor next to his bed. "Guess I'm not going anywhere for a while.."
