I rapped my fingers on top of my desk, staring blankly in front of me.

Luhan's hand popped out of nowhere and laid his hand over mine's. He casted me a grievious look. "Stop that tapping of your fingers on the desk. It makes my ears ring."

I pulled my hand away from his touch and grimaced. I rapped the fingers on my desk again to annoy Luhan.

He whipped his head and glared at me. "Stop it!" He covered his ears with both his hands like a child when hearing fireworks.

I laughed.

I feel so evil, yet so accomplished when I see Luhan like that.

But eventually, my fingers got tired and I stopped rapping my fingers. I stretched my whole body and yawn. "When is sonsaeng gonna come?" Fifteen minutes had passed and she still hasn't arrived in our classroom.

Luhan snickered. "She doesn't wants to come because you're here. Try leaving the classroom. She might come."

I taunted him by positioning my fingers once again to start tapping. He quickly looked away and burried his face on his table. He was mumbling some words like 'Just kidding' and 'Don't wanna live'.

It really does feel great to annoy him back.

One minute. Two minutes. 

My mind drew blank. I was getting bored. I glanced at Luhan, and his head was still on the table. He probably fell asleep. I was deciding to take advantage of the opportunity and do something to him, but I acted against it and let him be.

I was beginning to feel my eyes flickering down when a soft pat on the back suddenly woke me up. I turned around to look at who it was. "Baekhyun-ah!" 

It was Byun Baekhyun, one of my classmates and one of my closest friends here. I didn't really made a lot friends when I started high school because I wasn't really the talkative type. Only Eunmi was really close to me. But this school year, she isn't my classmate, so I had to mingle with other students here in class. Byun Baekhyun is one of them, and as I can see, he's one of those guys who'd really love to talk with other people. He's very talkative, just like Eunmi. But I'm happy I got close with Baekhyun here in class.

"Hey." He waved a hand and sat at the seat beside me.

I heard Luhan stirring in his seat, but I ignored it.

I smacked Baekhyun on his arm. "Keep your 'hey' to yourself. You've been gone for almost two weeks. Again. Whatever did you do in that two weeks? Went to the club?"

"Maybe." He put his bag down and flashed a small smile.

"Seriously. What did you do?"

"You know. The usual." He beamed heartily.

I raised an eyebrow. "And by the usual, you mean family outing again?"

He nodded. "It was fun while it lasted. Too bad I'm back here in this crappy school."

"You missed a lot of homework."

"Did I?" He rubbed his cheek gently and smiled. "I'll just have to talk to the teachers." He looked past me and pointed. "New student?"

I turned around to look at Luhan, who was already looking at us with his right cheek resting on his palm. I think he had already been listening to us. "Oh. Yeah. He's a new student. Baekhyun, this is Luhan. Luhan, Baekhyun."

Baekhyun stretched his arm out in front of me and offered a hand to Luhan. "Hi, Luhan. Nice to have someone new around." He let out a friendly grin.

Luhan shook his hand back and gave nothing but a creepy smile. "Hi. I'm Sungchan's childhood friend."

I peered at him. "You really have to say that?"

Baekhyun smiled. "Oh! Really? Then it'd probably be a breeze for you, having someone to be your school buddy." He looked at me. "You probably were his school buddy."

It wasn't a question. It was an obvious statement. "Yeah, unfortunately."

Luhan gave out a small 'Hey'.

Baekhyun stifled a laughter. "What do you mean?"

"It's a long, long story, dated back more than ten years ago."

"Wow." He breathed. I assumed he wouldn't ask about it anymore.
