Everything was still normal, to my surprise, even after that shaky confession.

Luhan was waiting for me outside our house. Upon seeing me, he beamed. "Yo, Chan-Chan! Let's go?"

I nodded and we walked towards school.

Well, after that night, Luhan had become much nicer, softer, and gentler to me. He's still annoying, but... a little less childish. He's really trying his best to impress me.

And while Luhan and I were still normal, my connection to Baekhyun had somehow become awkward to me. Because I would keep on recalling that Luhan would feel pain whenever he sees Baekhyun with me.

Is that supposed to mean anything to me?

"Sungchan!" Baekhyun greeted as soon as we entered the room.

I consciously glance at Luhan. He still smiled at me, but he quietly went to his seat. I sighed to myself and turned to Baekhyun. "Hey."

He chuckled and pointed at the door. "I let one of my bodyguards bring in the project. He's gonna pass it now."

"Hmph. Too lazy to bring it and pass it yourself?"

He shrugged. "Maybe. But mostly yes."

We both laughed, but then I abruptly stopped and peeked at Luhan. He had his palms under his chin, and he was looking away.

Darn it!

I can't help being conscious about what Luhan feels!

"Hey, Sungchan." Baekhyun had begun waving a hand in front of my face. "Are you okay?"

I chuckled nervously. "Ah... yes." I went back to my seat and glanced anxiously at Luhan. "Lulu?"

He whipped his head towards me and smiled. That smile. It's still the same, but it now holds a different meaning to me. "Hm?"

I stared at him. I wanted to ask if he's okay. But wouldn't that sound weird? Why wouldn't he be okay? Because you were laughing with Baekhyun, and you know he feels bad about that, the voice inside me said. I sighed. "Nothing."

"Omo, Chan-Chan," he remarked. "What was that? Do you really find me that attractive and handsome?"

He still was his same old jolly self. And I find myself being more grateful to him because he didn't want to break our closeness. Other friends really become awkward when one confesses to the other, and later on they grow apart. But to Luhan, he really doesn’t want that. He still remains as annoying as he is to keep us close, but doesn't forget to add cheesy remarks to remind me that he's confessed, and that he sees me more than a friend.
