“Tae Hee, please listen to me. They’re your parents no matter what.” Yoseob knocked on your door. You just shook your head with your hands over your ears. “Come on Tae Hee, open up. Oppa’s here for you.”

When Yoseob didn’t receive a response, he sighed. He knew that when you didn’t respond there was no use in trying to make you listen anymore.

“Tae Hee, I hope you open up to Mr. and Mrs. Sukprakob. No matter what they’re your parents, but our parents will always be your parents. You’ll always be their daughter and my sister. I’ll always be your oppa. I just want you to know that.” With that, Yoseob left to his room.

Your alarm went off. You groaned and turned off your alarm. You drowsily sat up and rubbed your eyes. You felt horrible at the moment.

You got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. You checked yourself in the mirror and oh goodness, there was a monster. Without any further a due, you hopped into the shower and freshened up.

After showering, you headed back to your room and got dressed. Once dressed, you headed down to the kitchen where your parents and brother was. You poured yourself a bowl of cereal and sat down next to Yoseob.

It was silent throughout breakfast. Your parents and Yoseob threw weary glances at each other from time to time. When you finished your cereal, you stood up, headed over to the sick and washed your bowl. After washing your bowl, you went back up to your room.

Yoseob heaved a dejected sigh. Your parents exchanged uneasy looks. They knew you were going through a tough time at the moment and they were going to give you space if you needed it.

“Yoseob-ah, you should get going.” Your mom said looking up at the clock. Yoseob nodded, stood up, put his dished in the sink, and headed up to his room. He got ready and went to knock on your door.

“Tae Hee-ah, let’s go.” He knocked. You opened the door, turned off your lights, and closed your door. Yoseob blinked at you. You looked up at your brother. “Aren’t we going?” You asked. “Oh. Uh, yeah. Let’s go.” Yoseob headed down with your behind him.

The two of you got into the car and Yoseob drove off to campus. The ride was silent and you were thankful because you didn’t feel like speaking at the moment. You fell asleep during the ride since you barely got any sleep the previous night.

“Tae Hee-ah, wake up.” Yoseob lightly shook you. You stirred and sat up. “Are we already there?” You mumbled rubbing your eyes. “Yeah, we are.” Your brother answered. You nodded and got out of the car. Yoseob also got out and watched you

You looked pale and lifeless. Yoseob’s heart ached at the sight of you. It was like seeing you at the hospital again when you fainted, only this time you were conscious and walking about. Yoseob hated seeing you like this. It pained him that he couldn’t do anything to help you. Even if he was your oppa, he felt completely useless.

There, standing in front of your practice room was no other than Kai. You tightened your grip on your viola case strap and continued walking.

“Good morning Tae Hee.” Kai beamed brightly, but it disappeared when he saw your light dark circles and puffy eyes. “What’s wrong? Did something happen? Are you hurt?” Kai bombarded you. “Go away.” You growled, opening the practice room door and walked in.

“I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s wrong.” Kai firmly stated. You close your eyes and took a deep breath. “Why are you so stubborn? Just go away.” You said. Kai shook his head and stepped into the practice room closing the door behind him.

You spun around. “What’s your problem? Don’t you know you’re not wanted here?” You sneered as hot tears were at the brim of your eyes. Kai’s eyes widen. “What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” Kai stepped forward.

You wiped your tears away and set down your viola and bag. You turned to Kai and glared at him. “Why aren’t you leaving? I don’t want or need you here. Get out!” You pointed to the door.

Kai shook his head. “I’m not leaving. I told you, you have to tell me what’s wrong before I leave.” You rubbed your temples. A small headache was beginning to form. “Tae Hee, please. I want to help you. Did something happen yesterday? Family problems?”
