“Oppa, we’ll leave after I-” “Tae hee-ah. Yoseob-ah.” Your mom popped out of the living room. You and Yoseob blinked at your mom. “Umma, aren’t you supposed to be at the café?” You asked. “Something came up, so we closed early. I need the two of you to come into the living room.” Your mom walked back into the living room.

You and Yoseob exchanged a look before slipping off your shoes, setting your bags and instrument on the wall before heading into the living room.

As the two of you entered the living room, there were three strangers sitting across from your parents. You and Yoseob sat next to your parents.

“Umma, who are these people?” Yoseob whispered. Your parents looked at you then at Yoseob.

You felt heated stares, so you looked up and met eyes with the two foreigners. You broke eye contact and turned to your mom. “Umma, do you know them?” Your mom bite her lip and looked over at the two foreigners. “Why don’t you two introduce yourselves?” Your mom croaked.

The third person there translated something to the couple. They nodded and looked at you, who blinked at them.

“Hello, I’m Ratchanon Sukprakob and this is my wife Primrata Sukprakob.” The man introduced. The woman cupped her hands together and bowed. The translator translated the introduction into Korean.

You and Yoseob bowed back. “I’m Yang Tae hee.” You introduced. “I’m Yang Yoseob.” Your brother introduced.

Mrs. Sukprakob looked at you with teary eyes then turned to her husband. “She’s grown up so well.” She whispered. Mr. Sukprakob nodded with a small smile. “You’re right. She looks like you.” “We’ve finally found her, our daughter.” Mr. Sukprakob squeezed his wife’s hand.

“Um, if you don’t mind me asking, are you guys’ friends of our parents?” You asked. Your mom straightened up and held your hands. “Tae hee, there’s something we need to tell you.” You turned to your mom. “You can tell me anything, umma.” “You have to brace yourself, okay?” You nodded.

Your mom took a deep breath. “Mr. and Mrs. Sukprakob are…your parents.”

Yoseob drew in a sharp breath. *No…it can’t be.*

He glanced between the Sukprakob’s and you. Then he saw the resemblance. You had Mrs. Sukprakob’s eyes and lips, whereas you had Mr. Sukprakob’s nose.
