Clubbing: One of my least favorite activities... until now.

Big Bang's Newest Noona

Even though Cho Hee-unni wasn't coming with us to the club, she still managed to have enough time to drag me to change and fix my make-up which, impressively, took all of 5 minutes. She gave me a once over and smiled. "Good," she said to me before shoving me out of the room right into Hae Jung.

She looked me over as well, and nodded. "That will work." I opened my mouth to reply, but she took my hand and starting leading me away. "Now,  the boys are in one vehicle, and the rest of us are in another. We will get there a little before them and find our spots, okay?" I nodded and tried to keep up. For a shorter lady, she sure was fast! "Two of the managers will be at the bar while the other three will be sitting with you and me at a table right next to the boys." We quickly walked through a door to the outside and I saw 2 black vans in front of us with five Korean gentlemen dressed nicely standing in front of it. She stopped a few feet in front of them and turned to me. "Nikky, these are the boys managers." I bowed to them and they bowed back. "I could introduce them, but you would forget their names and they don't really like meeting new people." I saw two of the men blush and the others nod, and couldn't help but smile at them. They turned and 3 of them piled into the first van, then the other two took the driver's seat of one van each, leaving the two seats in the middle section of the first van for Hae Jung and myself. As soon as the doors were closed she continued. "Our job at the club is to look out for them. That means keeping track of who is around them, making sure they do not do anything stupid, and that they do not drink too much." She paused for a second and I thought she had finished until she started up again. "Seungri and Top you may have to watch for. They have a tendency to drink a bit too much." The managers around us nodded, and I nodded as well. Seungri and Top- drink too much. Noted.

One of the managers interjected at that point. "Having you with us is good. They do not like us surrounding them. Hard to keep track. They say we are too old. But you are their age, yes?"

"Well, I'm a few months older than Top," I said, looking down at my feet.

"Ah, that is good. Then you must stay close if you can."

I turned and looked at him, but it was Hae Jung who answered. "Sometimes the girls will overwhelm them. It was Cho Hee-ssi's job to go and 'save' them if they needed her to."

I raised an eyebrow. "Save them?"

She nodded and smiled. "Yes. If they meet your eye and nod at you, it means they want to leave where ever they are, either because there are too many people, they are feeling uncomfortable, or because the people surrounding them are making it difficult to leave. Then we go in and save them." She saw the question on my face before I even asked. "You save them any way you can. Since you are younger, try to make it seem less like you are an assistant manager and more like you are a friend. It will help them, okay?"

I nodded and spent the next minute thinking in the silence. "Umm, Hae Jung-unni?"

"Yes?" She said, turning to me.

"So, my job is to save them and that is it?"

She gave a small laugh, "Oh, trust me, that will keep you busy. Tonight you are also going to help me get them to leave when it is time. 2am is the time they have to leave, but getting them to leave... is difficult." I looked at the clock and saw that it was just now 11pm. "We will be there in about 10 minutes, and the boys will arrive at around 11:30, okay?" I nodded and then turned as one of the managers behind me spoke.

"Do you have questions?" I thought for a moment and slowly shook my head. No, no questions. I went to staring out the window and thinking as Hae Jung took a phone call and the managers started talking amongst themselves. Thanks to not knowing Korean, I had plenty of time to think. As far as I could tell, I was going to be acting just as I had when I had gone clubbing with friends. Keep the boys, girls in this case, from being too forceful, drag them away from situations when necessary, make sure they do not get too drunk, and round them up when it was time to leave. Seemed simple enough.

As we pulled up Hae Jung turned to me once more. "Oh, one last thing. Normally we do not drink, but tonight you are allowed if you want." She smiled at me. "But not too much."

I nodded and smiled back, "Okay, unni."Right, like I could afford any of the drinks here. I looked around as we exited the vans and sighed inwardly. I knew this club. It was considered the best in Atlanta, and the most expensive, plus it already had a line that wrapped around the block. I took a deep breath and straightened up, trying to hold myself like someone important, just like Hae Jung and the managers did. We walked straight up to the door and, though I didn't hear what Hae Jung and one of the managers said, were immediately let through. And there, right by the dance floor, were two reserved tables. One said BB, the other HJ. I followed Hae Jung to the second table and sat down, setting my purse in the corner. Unni sat next to me and started whispering instructions.

"The boys are early and should be here in a minute." Well, perhaps whispering wasn't the best term. It was already loud and crowded, so she was more talking loudly to me, but I doubted anyone else could hear what she was saying. "Their curfew was moved to 1 am, so they will only have an hour and a half. Make sure to remind them of that when you can." I looked at her, my eyes wide. When was I supposed to remind them? How was I supposed to remind them. In order to talk I'd have to get right up close to them, and as much as I was of the "normal person, not celebrity" thought train... they were still good looking guys! But Hae Jung ignored my look and kept talking. "Just relax and have fun with them. They do not have many friends outside of YG, so I know they will appreciate it, okay?" I took a deep breath and nodded, trying to smile. Hae Jung held up her hands in fists and smiled at me. "Fighting!" I copied the gesture and replied with my own "Fighting!" before we heard the talking increase followed by a few high pitched squeals from the entrance. Hae Jung glanced behind her and nodded. "Show time!"

-----

It took awhile for the boys to finally make it over to the table, what with all of the pictures and hellos and such. But when they did, Seungri and Daesung both sat down and turned to me. "Nikky-noona!" Seungri exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear, a grin mimicked by Daesung. "Do you dance?"

The look I gave him must have been priceless, because all 5 members laughed at it, though Top only chuckled. "We'll take that as a 'no'", Taeyang said, a smile on his face.

I laughed as well before I replied. "That was definitely a no face. Club dancing... it's not really my thing."

I saw GD open his mouth but before he could say anything the owner appeared at the front of their table, a gaggle of gorgeous women, ranging from Hae Jung's height to as tall as Top, behind him. I shook my head and let out a tiny snort as I turned back to Hae Jung's table. Looks like the boys will be busy for awhile. Unfortunately, Hae Jung was on the phone speaking in Korean, again, two of the managers were at the bar, scanning the crowd from what I could tell, and the other three were looking at the drink menu. I looked around the club and, while I hated to admit it, I was impressed. The dance floor was large and in the middle of the club. Surrounding it, raised up about 3 feet, was a second level that contained tables, such as the table I was currently at. Beyond that, raised up another 3 feet, was another flat area with tall table tops scattered around the edge and a door leading to an outside patio. Along the front of the dance floor was a raised platform that contained a DJ and a few very, very impressive female dancers. And directly across from us, to the left right of the platform, was the bar, which for some odd reason was on the second level and yet had drinks in triangle cubbies all the way to the top of the room. How they managed to get to the top section, I didn't know, but it was most likely impressive to watch. I started looking around once more and noticed that the girls on the platform had been joined by none other than Taeyang and GD, of course. The two were smiling and dancing, surrounded by about 3 girls each, and all I could do was shake my head. GD I could understand, since he did have that playboy feel to him, but Taeyang? I watched him for a few minutes before realization dawned on me. He wasn't up there to dance with girls, he was just up there to dance. At that point, I couldn't help but smile. He was doing what he loved, and boy, was he doing it well.

I looked out on the dance floor and saw Seungri, surrounded by girls, with a look on his face that I could not describe. He was happy, I could tell that, and now I could also see why he was considered the true play boy of the group. Every minute or so he would turn to a different girl and start dancing with them, which I shook my head at, but he was grown now, and he could do what he wanted. I turned slightly to see the table behind me and noticed that Top and Daesung were still at it. Top was sitting with a tall, leggy girl on each side of him, while Daesung sat next to a girl who was clearly more interested in Top than in Daesung, if the way she was angled told me anything. I couldn't help but frown and my mind started racing.

Daesung was unhappy, and that was making me unhappy. But what could I do about it? I started going through my options. 1)Buy him a drink? No, he didn't drink much and I didn't have much money at all on me. 2) Talk to him? Eh, that wouldn't work either. It was too loud to really do much conversing, unless you got extremely close, which Top seemed to be doing with each of the ladies around him in turn. Ugh. 3) Dance with Daesung... Well, I didn't dance, or at least not club dancing. But if anyone knew how to do other types of dancing, it would be Daesung, right? I had never seen anyone swing dance in a club before, but I bet Daesung could do it! I smiled and pounded my fist in my other hand. Plan 3 it was! I turned to Hae Jung and started to open my mouth but she held up her finger to her lips and slid out of the booth, holding a finger to one ear and the phone to the other as she headed towards some place quiet.

Well, do or die, Nikky, do or die! I took a deep breath and stood up, before turning to the blonde boy at the table next to mine. He looked up at me and I smiled, holding out my hand. He looked at me, puzzled, before he smiled and took my hand, standing up and getting close to me so we could talk. "Do you know how to swing dance?" He looked at me puzzled again and I smiled. "Swing dancing? Like in Grease?"

"The musical?" He asked, hope in his voice.

"Yup!" I saw him nod enthusiastically, so I continued. "There is some open space on the edge of the dance floor. Do you want to dance?"

He turned to me and I swear his smirk was just as adorable as his smile. "Noona, you said you don't dance!"

"I said I don't club dance. I love swing dancing though!" He pulled away, smiled, then grabbed my hand and just about dragged me towards the open space I had seen. When we got to the floor, a song I had not heard in ages came on: The Way I Are, by Timbaland. Daesung pulled me close and grinned as the song started and before I knew it, we were dancing. It had been awhile since I had swung, but Daesung turned out to be an amazing leader, and an open space slowly opened around us. I laughed as he twirled me and we spun back and forth, and each time I go close to him I could hear him laughing as well. He dipped me and grinned just as the song ended and we both looked up in shock as we heard applause.

I blushed and tried to move away, but Daesung simply smiled and pulled me in for a hug. "Noona, you are a good dancer!" I laughed and shook my head, but before I could respond another song had started and one of the model types from before tapped Daesung on his shoulder. "Mind if I cut in?" She asked, smiling in a way that I guess was seductive. Daesung looked at me and I smiled as I held up my hands, moving away. He nodded and turned to the newcomer. I, in turn, headed back to the table, sweaty, out of breath, but happy. Doubly happy since Daesung was now happy as well.
