Big Bang's Newest Noona

I glanced into the full length mirror hung on the back of my door one last time... for the sixth time that night. I had wanted to wear something really, really nice, but unfortunately I was still slightly poor and didn't really have any nice dresses. So instead I was in black slacks, a nice blouse, and low heels. The black purse matched, but I definitely looked like someone who was going to have dinner with a boss instead of a boy. Eh, oh well. I grinned at myself and nodded. While I wouldn't be winning any beauty contests, I looked like myself. This was me, who I was, my own style, and I liked it! I glanced at the clock and almost fell trying to rush out the door. I had promised not to be late, and I here I was wasting time with clothes. Ugh, sometimes I act like a girl a little too much for my tastes.

I managed to arrive just as the sound check was starting, and was shown to the little "holding area" near the stage. There were, of course, other people there, but good lord! Didn't they know what a sound check was? They were talking, LOUDLY, and calling out the boys names, screaming them almost. I shook my head as I stood at the back of the crowd. As much as I loved the boys, didn't these girls realize that they were making things difficult for their idols? I glanced back up at the stage and locked eyes with a blonde boy. He grinned and waved at me, but of course the girls in front of me thought he was waving at them, so they went crazy. Well, maybe he was waving at them. They were fans after all, and the boys were pretty nice to their fans. But just in case, I raised my hand slightly and let out a small wave. Daesung turned and tapped Top's shoulder and pointed in the direction I was in before he moved center stage to start singing. Top also looked in my direction and, though he didn't wave, he did nod. Well, that was at least a reaction, right? I grinned and waved again, to which he smiled and turned back to the stage. I could now cross "Be acknowledged by an idol" off of my bucket list. Sweet.

An hour later, after finally giving up on the heels and going barefoot, the sound check finally ended. The boys came over to the barricade and bowed to us all, smiling and introducing themselves in English. The girls, of course, went crazy and it was a good five minutes before the guys were able to thank them for coming and make them understand it was time to leave. Again, girls can be pretty crazy when it comes to celebrities. I was actually surprised it only took five minutes. But that is besides the point. I turned to follow the other girls when I heard a stage whisper from behind me "Nikky-noona!" I stopped and turned around to see Daesung gesturing wildly towards me. I waved and walked over to him, feeling my heart thud. Now I was actually going to be standing and talking to all five Big Bang members? Good lord, someone pinch me, I must be dreaming. I bowed when I was closer.

"Hello, my name is Nikky. It's very nice to meet you." When I glanced back up they were all smiling at me and I couldn't help but blush. Yes, they are normal guys but those smiles? All five of them? Directed at me at once? How could I not blush?

At that point Daesung pulled on the barricade and produced an opening before he reached over and pulled me through. I tried not to fall, and was largely successful, but I could still hear a chuckle or two, causing my blush to deepen. Daesung turned to the other members and said something in Korean, which I of course didn't understand, but it caused GD to look at me quizzically while Taeyang and Seungri just smiled even more. I turned to Daesung, but couldn't say a thing before Seungri spoke.

"So, you are a fan?"

"Oh, yes."

"Hmmm. You do not act like one." He smirked at me and I couldn't help but raise and eyebrow at him.

"Well, I could start screaming if you would like?" This caused him to start laughing and send a smile at me, which I returned.

"No no, that is fine."

GD spoke up then. "Daesung also says you are a pretty compliment-or."

At this phrase my expression turned puzzled. "A what?"

Daesung smiled. "Compliment-or. You said nice things to me and Top-hyung!" Ohhh, is that what he was talking about? I blushed again, but only slightly this time.

"Oh, that. Well, I was just telling the truth."

"Go on Nikky-noona! Compliment them!" I turned and stared at Daesung then. He gestured to the three other members who seemed to be waiting. I saw Top standing behind Daesung trying not to grin, and failing, and knew that it would probably be easiest if I just said what was on my mind instead of trying to turn down the order.

"Umm, okay. Well, Seungri." I looked at him and saw his eyes light up. No, looking at them wouldn't work. So instead I looked down at my shoes and continued. "Watching you grow the past few years has been extremely rewarding and entertaining. Though I do have to say I wish you hadn't grown into someone quiet as good looking. Because of you there are times I feel like a dirty old woman, and I don't appreciate it." I glanced up and saw him grinning from ear to ear and bumping his fist with GD, which was, to me, a sign that I could continue. "G-Dragon. You have to be the only guy I know or have even seen who can instantly switch from sounding and looking cute and adorable to downright y in an instant." A quick glance showed him smirking and nodding with a knowing look on his face before he was elbowed by Taeyang. "And Taeyang, I am ashamed to say that there were many times that I watched videos of your songs just so I could watch you dance and hear your voice even though I had no idea, nor did I care, about the words you were saying." I took a deep breath and continued staring at the concrete ground. This? This had to be one of the most embarrassing things I had ever done. I probably should have just kept my mouth shut. I was supposed to be treating them like normal guys, and here I was boosting their egos. Great. But I looked up as soon as I heard soft clapping.

All five guys were standing in front of me golf-clapping and nodding. "Very well done," GD said, before he, and the others broke into grins. I smiled back, shyly at first, until Seungri moved towards me.

"Nikky-noona... Can I call you that?" I nodded and he continued, smiling. "I would like to hug you." My eyes went wide with surprise and before I could say anything there he was, hugging me. I heard Daesung laugh as he came up behind Seungri and said something in Korean. I looked back to the others and saw that another man had joined them and was gesturing wildly while talking in Korean extremely quickly. Deciding the eavesdrop on the conversation right in front of me instead of farther away, I waited until there was a small break in their sentences to speak up.

"Hey now, thats not fair." When they looked at me I poked Daesung's arm to make my point. "I can't understand a word of what you're saying." I tried to pull my face into a pout and was certain it looked silly as both boys broke into grins.

"Ah, sorry." He replied.

"Yes, sorry," Seungri added. "We haven't been around a fan who wasn't screaming for... a long time. It is nice."

I grinned at him. "Well, I am glad I could be of service!"

Suddenly I heard someone call for both boys and the three of us looked towards the other members. They, in turn, were staring at us. Not just staring, but looking us over. Up and down a few times before speaking to each other and the older man with them. The man said something in Korean and made a spinning motion with his finger towards me. I just stared at them and raised an eyebrow, causing Daesung and Seungri to laugh, before Daesung gently grabbed my shoulders and turned me in a circle. I looked at them as I came back around, very, very confused.

"Um, what is going on?" Seungri just smiled at me and put a finger to his lips as the four men started talking once more. I was about to ask again, a little perturbed that I was being talked about, when the man left the group and the other three members walked towards us, Taeyang smiling, Top looking neutral, and GD looking slightly apprehensive.

"Nikky-noona," I tried not to grin to hear yet another BB member call me by that name, but I knew that holding the grin in failed. "Do you know the video for my song Only look at me?" I nodded. It was one of the videos I loved to watch simply for Taeyang's dancing. Totally swoon worthy! He smiled and nodded before continuing. "Well, we are planning on performing it at tonight's concert. Just for a little change of pace."

"Oh, fun!" I answered. I didn't really know what else to say. I mean, why were they telling me? I was going to watch the concert anyways... from backstage, hell yes!

"But..." I stopped smiling then. Buts were never a good thing. "Two of the dancers left this morning due to an emergency in their family and we don't have enough time to completely change the choreography." I opened my mouth to say something comforting, but he kept talking. "So I was thinking maybe you would like to help us with that."

My jaw? It hit the floor. Not literally, but my eyes went wide and my mouth went slack. "Me? Help? I... I don't know. I mean..." I took a deep breath and started again. "I can try I guess, though I don't know what I could be of help with."

Taeyang smiled as he looked at me. "Well, we want to recreate the video. With these guys," he gesturing to the members around us, "leading around a girl that I sing the song to." He stopped and I realized what he was talking about.

"Wait, me? But I'm not a dancer or anything. And I'm not even pr-" Seungri interrupted.

"You don't have to dance! We will tell you what to do. This will be much easier than a new song or dance." I turned to him and looked at all five guys. Even GD seemed positive about it as he nodded, though he wasn't grinning like the others. I could tell he was not completely happy with the arrangement, which was good since he was the leader and needed to worry about such things, but that he thought it was the best plan.

"But... what would I wear?" I asked, sounding way more girly than I had planned. Daesung and Seungri high-fived behind me as Taeyang spoke.

"Don't worry, we have something you can wear."

"Nikky-noonaaaa, this is going to be fun!" I turned to Daesung and smiled at his expression. He seriously looked like someone had just given him a present, he was so happy. "Ah, and this is Hae Jung-noona! She is... like a mom for our America tour." He turned me around to see a woman talking with Top and the others. I was a little shocked. She seemed to appear out of nowhere, and was not what I was expecting. She was a short, almost harsh looking Korean woman, around 5'1" and plump, with short black hair and wearing jeans and a t-shirt. But when she looked over at me, she smiled, and the harshness was gone.

"Hello. You are Nikky?" She held out her hand instead of bowing and I nodded as I shook with her. "I am Hae Jung, but you can call me Hae Jung-unni, or just unni." I smiled as she continued. "I am sorry if these boys have caused trouble."

"Oh no, they haven't." I assured her before Daesung starting speaking to her in Korean. At that point GD, Taeyang, and Top came over and I turned to them.

"We need to change, but we will see you later, before the show, right?" Taeyang asked.

"Of course. Um," I gestured for him to come closer and when he did I continued in a whisper, "will you explain then exactly what you want me to do?"

He laughed, as did the other two who had apparently also heard me. "Yes, I will. Later." He waved as he left with the other two in tow, but not before Top gave me a small bow and a quick "Bye". I couldn't help but smile. Top seemed like such a mischievous person and a ladies' man, but in person? He was actually shy.

I turned back to Daesung, Seungri, and Hae Jung-unni just in time to see her hold up her hands and nod a bunch as she spoke. Daesung and Seungri both smiled at her and bowed a little before turning to me. "Noona is going to show you around now," Seungri told me. "We have to get ready, but we will see you soon, OK?"

I nodded and smiled. "Sure." They both gave me a small wave and turned to go. "Oh! And... thanks." They both looked at me confused, so I continued. "Just, you know. Thanks. For letting me come back stage." I, once again, could help but grin a silly grin at them, which they both returned before leaving. I stiffened a little as I realized I was left with Hae Jung, the woman in charge of the boys. What if she was upset that I had talked to them in the first place? I was about to turn to try and clear that up when I heard her laugh.

"Ah, those boys." I turned to her and she smiled up at me. "They do not get to meet many people. I am glad that they met someone as nice and calm as you." I blushed and shook my head.

"Oh no, I'm glad that they let me meet them." She just smiled and turned.

"Come, I'll show you around."

----

The next hour consisted of being shown around the entire backstage area and being taken to one of the souvenir carts. "Do you see anything you want?" Hae Jung asked me while we were there.

I nodded and picked up a poster and the light stick I had been eyeing. "Yes, these. Can I buy them now?" I was worried about getting the chance later, since I would apparently be back stage during the show. Hae Jung just nodded at me, then turned and spoke with the cashier, who grabbed the items, put them in a bag, and starting walking away with his cart. I looked between Hae Jung and the retreating cart for a minute before she laughed.

"The boys were worried and wanted to make up for you being backstage during the show." She pointed to the bag in my hand. "They wanted to give you something to make up for it." I just looked at her in shock before she laughed again and grabbed my elbow. "Come, it is almost time to open the doors."

I just nodded dumbly and let myself be led for a few moments before I snapped to. "Thank you!" I almost shouted it. She looked at me and I took a breath to calm down. "Thank you. For these," I said, gesturing with my bag.

"Don't thank me, it was all five of the boys," she replied with a smile. "They seem to like you." She looked at me and nodded. "That is good. I like you too." I grinned like an idiot then. I was going to say something when we came to the big double doors that led backstage. "I am going to take you to Cho Hee next. She is the lead stylist and is the other Big Bang noona besides me."

"Big Bang noona?" I asked, barely paying attention to where we were going. She had shown me around before, but I knew that no matter what I would get lost each time.

"Yes, it is the name for the two of us. We are in charge of the boys during the tour. Almost like mothers. We keep them from making trouble, help them with problems, and try and improve their English and manners." She stopped at a door with a star on it, but no name. "We hope to have another noona soon, one from the US, but finding someone trust worthy is difficult."

I nodded. "I understand." Which I did. From the way Hae Jung talked about the boys, I could tell that she cared about them very deeply. Finding someone she trusted to look after that must be almost as difficult, if not more so, as finding a babysitter to look after your children.

She smiled at me and opened the door. "Cho Hee! " I looked into a room filled with clothes and bags and barely made out a tall, skinny Korean woman before I was engulfed in a hug. Good lord! Neither of these women acted like I had expected Korean women to act! But then again, I suppose it takes a special type of person to keep up with all of the boys.

"You are Nikky?" She looked at me and smiled as I nodded. Now I could see that she was about mid thirties, and had the look of a model, both in her stature (skinny and tall), make-up (perfect skin and make-up), and dress (fashionista x 1000).  "Ah! Good to meet you. I am Cho Hee. But you can call me Unni or Cho Hee-unni, yes?" Unlike Hae Jung, I could tell that Cho Hee was lacking in the English department. Still, she knew more English than I knew Korean, so I wasn't judging.

"Sure," I said, smiling.

"Now, YB's song is near middle, but we will get you ready now, ok?" She said as she walked around me slowly. I knew that walk and the look, she was trying to figure out what to do with me, both make-up and costume-wise. I took a deep breath, knowing that from this point forward there was no turning back. I could chicken out now and be done with it, or I could stand by my knowledge that everything happens for a reason. Do everything 110% so you have nothing to regret, or don't try to do it at all.

"Okay," I said, nodding. I could hear the resolve in my voice, and I could tell the unnis' could as well as both of their faces lit up with grins. "Let's do this."
