Exploring New York

Big Bang's Newest Noona

When the guys had finally finished getting ready for the day, I couldn't help but laugh. I had been told I could dress like myself, no wig, just different glasses. The boys on the other hand? Were not as lucky. They each had a hat of some kind, and they weren't nearly as fashionable as usual. In fact, they looked... normal. No bright colors, no over sized clothes. Just normal looking. Daesung and Top almost matched, with their hair hid under beanies and a set of sunglasses, Seungri had a beanie, a scarf, and a pair of Top's black rimmed glasses, and GD and Taeyang both had baseball caps and sun glasses. Not the really big brimmed ones, just normal looking ones. And while I could tell who they were, I had a feeling it would be difficult for others unless they were specifically looking for them. Which isn't why I laughed, of course. I laughed because of their expressions. GD? He didn't look happy. At all.

Of course, my near giggle at GD's face wasn't missed by him. He gave me a glare and let me know how he felt. "Just wait. I will help Cho Hee pick your clothes for the concert and the clubs." While he tried to adjust his hat and the others repositioned their accessories, Daesung just smiled at his hyung's anger and came over to take my arm. "Let's go," he said, his childish glee at getting to see the city making me smile as well.

----

4 hours later and I was ready for a break. We had walked around a ton and it was actually pretty cool to see the places they had filmed, but I was starving. It was close to 7 and I was le hungered! Just as I made up my mind to mention it, I heard a phone ring. Seungri and Daesung, the two boys I was walking between, and I looked back to see GD with a surprised look on his face. He reached into his pocket and when he saw his phone, his face broke into a grin.  "Yeboseyo?" He said, followed by a pause and a laugh, then more Korean. He turned to the boys, spoke some more, and I swear I heard a few words that I understood... but they actually sounded like names, so I was probably wrong. That's just what happens when you listen to a certain language for awhile. You start thinking you can pick out words... then you find out you're wrong. Been there! But the boys all nodded and grinned at whatever GD was saying. Cho Hee and Hae Jung, who had accompanied us as well, joined in the conversation while I twiddled my thumbs. Literally, twiddled my thumbs. But I couldn't stop smiling. They all seemed really happy, so while I tried to make a pouty face, the look Top and Seungri gave me told me that I was failing. Finally, GD hung up  the phone and, after a few more words and looks, Taeyang came over to me.

"Nikky-noona, we have to go have dinner with some friends and our managers," he said, standing next to me but not exactly looking me in the eye. I was about to reply with an okay when he continued. "Would you mind if we left you with the noonas until later?" I felt my face fall, but a look at Hae Jung and Cho Hee's smiling faces had me feeling horrible. Why wouldn't I want to spend time with those two ladies? They were so amazing!

So I quickly smiled back at them and nodded. "Sure!" I turned my grin towards him and the other boys. "We could do with some time away from you pesky boys," I said with a laugh.

This of course resulted in Seungri coming over to me and putting an arm around my shoulder. "Aw, noona, do not worry. We be back soon, okay? Later we will do something fun!"

I rolled my eyes and removed his arm from around me. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever," I smirked at him and walked over to my two unnies. "So, since the kids are gonna be gone, where should we go eat?" This was rewarded by a laugh from the two ladies in front of me and groans from the boys. I turned and stuck my tongue out at them, which resulted in a laugh from everyone. The best way to get over being sad is to make others happy. Everyone was laughing and I was no longer sad to be  missing dinner with the boys. Therefore: success!

----

Dinner with the unnies turned out to be amazing, and EXTREMELY important. First, we were picked up by a car, a shiny black car with tinted windows. Second, we went to a rather nice Asian restaurant and I was allowed to order the expensive sushi. Score. Third, we talked about what I was going to do this week. Which was actually exactly what I did during the concert before, plus looking after the boys. After we ordered, Hae Jung exchanged a look with Cho Hee before she took an envelope out of her purse and gave it to me. When I gave her an odd look, she just waved a hand at me. "Open it," she said with a bored look on her face.

Inside? A credit card. Well, actually on closer inspection I realized it was a debit card. I looked up at her, the odd expression back, and both her and Cho Hee smiled at me. "That is yours. It is connected to your account."

"My account?" I said, confused. I had a debit card already, in my purse. And this card didn't actually have a name on it, just YG Entertainment.

"We set up an account for the money you will be paid while working," she said, taking out a check book. I opened it and my eyes popped. It wasn't a check book, but a transaction book. And the beginning number... I looked up at her and she just smiled. "YG said this should get your started. It will be subtracted from your paycheck of course, but it should not effect it too much. You also can use this anytime you have to buy things for the boys. Just give us the receipt and you will be paid back, okay?" I just nodded, dumb struck.

Cho Hee took my silence as a go-ahead to continue with the surprises. She pulled a phone out of her purse, the newest iPhone it looked like, in a pretty purple and teal Otter Box case. "This is for you. It is work phone. Boys and us have the number, but no one else, okay?" I nodded again as she handed the phone to me. I unlocked it and saw that there were only 13 numbers in it so far. The boys, the managers, the noonas and... I swear, I thought my eyes were gonna pop out of my head they were so wide. "Ah, yes. All noonas have YG's number. In case of... emergence. Emergency?" She looked at Hae Jung for confirmation and continued after she was given a nod. "Call me and Hae Jung, then YG, okay?" I nodded again, completely awe struck and speechless. Luckily, at that point the food arrived and I was saved from answering by Cho Hee saying she wanted my food. Thus the 'oh-em-gee-is-this-really-happening' ice was broken by our stomachs and love of food.

-----

Three plates of food later, we ended up sharing so we could each try a little of everything, and I was over my shock. Mostly. Now we had moved onto talking about the boys. Mainly we were discussing what I would need to know about each guy. Cho Hee had already informed me about a few things, but now we were talking about who was difficult to wake up, who I would have to push to eat correctly, what types of situations would result in tempers flaring, and the like. We had just reached the topic of who would be most likely to try and sneak off when a phone rang. Both unnies looked at me and it finally registered that the phone was actually mine. I grabbed it and left the table, answering it on the way without looking at who it was. "Hello?"

"Ahh, Nikky-noona!"

I grinned as I heard the voice on the other line, but waited until I was outside to answer. "Hey Daesung, whats up?"

"Noona, we want to go to Noraebang!"

"A what?"

I heard laughter on the other end, some talking, and then Daesung spoke again. "Noraebang. Taeyang-hyung said it is karaoke?"

"Oh, okay." I heard giggles in the background and became concerned. The managers were with them, right? So... why did it sound like there were girls? "Um, Daesung, who are you with?"

"Just managers and hyungs and-" I heard some commotion and what sounded like muffled talking.

"Daesung? ... Daesung? Dae!" I heard more commotion and gave my phone a look. Yes, it wouldn't do anything, but it was the look I would have given to the boys if they were in front of me, and it made me feel better.

"Sorry, Nikky-noona," he finally responded. "Jiyong-hyung says to meet us at Noraebang. He will text you the address. Okay?"

"Uh, sure, I guess."

"Oh, Nikky-noona?" I was a little surprised at the voice I heard. Apparently Seungri had decided that just talking to Daesung wasn't enough for me. "Just you. Not Cho Hee-noona and Hae Jung-noona. They will be okay to not come if you come. Please?"

"Seungri..." I tried to relay my displeasure at this over the phone, but either I didn't lay it on thick enough or he chose to ignore it.

"Good!" There was more rustling, then Daesung was back.

"We will meet you there soon, okay? Please?"

"Alright, Daesung, alright. I will see you all soon." As much as I was a little perturbed to be called away from hanging out with my unnies, I couldn't keep the smile off of my face at the thought of seeing the boys singing karaoke.

-----

Well, Hae Jung-unni and Cho Hee-unni most certainly saved the day. I quickly checked my appearance in the mirror near the entrance/ exit as I waited for the car to come up to the door. When I had explained the call from Daesung, they had agreed to let me use the car and to call a taxi to take them back to the hotel, an experience they were "looking forward to", apparently. The unnies said the boys hated going places with them, the "older" women, so that made me, someone almost their age, the perfect companion for such outings, which was one of the reasons I was hired. Therefore they were more than happy to let me go alone. Plus, they had explained why it was imperative that I arrive early and be the one to reserve the room instead of the boys. While Big Bang wasn't that well known in the US (yet), it was almost certain that someone working at a Korean Norae-bang would know who Big Bang was, and since an ID and a credit card were required when reserving the room, that meant none of the boys could do it. So, once again, I was actually doing a job while on this trip! Killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. Hang out with the boys: Check! Keep an eye on the boys for the unnies: Check! Mission successful!

When the car pulled up to the Norae-bang, I immediately saw two black SUVs with slightly tinted windows parked near the entrance and headed for them. When one of them started moving, more like bouncing, around, I could not help but smile. That was the one that I needed to head to. As the passenger window rolled down, I laughed, seeing a sunglassed face with bleach blonde hair smash up against one of the back windows with a smile. The other youngster smiled at me from the open window before holding up both hands and pointing to the door of the Norae-bang. I stopped, and I know the question must have shown on my face even from a distance, because I saw Seungri hold something up to his head and my phone almost instantly rang. "Nikky-noona! Can you go inside and reserve a room for..." I saw him turn and look in the back of the SUV before he continued, "... 2 hours? Big enough for 10 people, okay?" I nodded, not sure if he could see me, "Okay." He gave me a thumbs up and hung up, rolling the window back up as I turned around and headed inside. Why they needed a room large enough for 10 people was beyond me. Then again, I knew how much they moved around while dancing so, perhaps an extra large room was necessary.

10 minutes later I headed back towards the SUV, receipt in hand. I hadn't even made it halfway there when two of the doors opened and Daesung and Seungri, both still in their "disguises", headed towards me. Or raced towards me actually. I could barely brace myself before I was engulfed in a Seungri hug. I saw Daesung's pouting face and laughed, betting that the youngsters had bet on who could get to me and get a hug first, something they had told me about doing before.

"Hey, guys. Did you miss me that much at dinner?"

I saw Daesung's pout quickly change into a smile as he came up beside me. "Yes, Nikky-noona, but now it is time to sing!" I nodded and turned to wait for the others, but was quickly turned back around as each youngster grabbed an elbow and started steering me towards the door. "We played rock-paper-scissors. I won, so I sing first!" Daesung smiled down at me and I couldn't help but laugh. Here they were, famous pop artists, and they were fighting over who got to sing first at karaoke. Just goes to prove how normal they really were.

Of course, both boys quickly turned off their smiles when we got to the front door, instead falling in step behind me as I led the way to the room. I smiled and nodded at the woman at the front counter and she gave me a half-smile with a wave towards the room before going back to her book, which she was apparently entirely engrossed in. Well, at least we wouldn't have to worry about her noticing the guys.
