Chapter 21. 

Silence. 

Finally but it didn't stay that way for long. 

Dahyun had messed up big time. She hadn't just told one person no she had to tell eight people at once. 

She was so done for. Her mother was going to kill her as soon as she'd find her. There was no doubt to it. 

Her life was over. 

Dahyun didn't dare to look at the others. Maybe it was because she feared there reactions or she just didn't want to see anyone or anything at the moment.

Sa: "Stop joking around." 

Chaeyoung, Momo and Jeongyeon started laughing. 

Jeong: "That's the best you came up with? Her daughter, really?" 

Chae: "You got us there for a sec."

They didn't believe her. 

They didn't ing believe her. 

Of course they didn't. 

What Dahyun had said sounded as realistic as: I'm a pink dog and the daughter of the planet Jupiter. 

Basically she had made herself a freakshow even though she told the truth. 

Jihyo and Mina exchanged looks and Tzuyu was also sceptical. 

Could they stop laughing already? This was painful enough for the pale girl as it was she didn't want to be made fun of on top of that. 

The real question though was if it was good or bad that the others didn't take her seriously. 

It was probably the best outcome but it wouldn't stay that long. 

The laughter died down when Mina carefully knelt down before Dahyun trying to keep eye contact which the other refused with all her might.

Mi: ". . You aren't joking. . are you?".

Her silence was answer enough. 

Ji: "How is that even possible? I can't believe this." 

Mi: "It's not that unrealistic. .I mean I was born from my mother's thoughts. ." 

Dahyun could feel the others staring and it made her really uncomfortable. 

Na: ".. . You're Artemis's daughter. .?" 

Everyone was ,of course, confused and they didn't really know how to deal with this kind of information. 

Now she couldn't hide it anymore so why not come clean with everything? 

She was dead either way at least let some people know her miserable life story even if they probably didn't accept her either. 

So she lifted her head and looked at the others with a straight face. 

Da: Yes, I'm the daughter of Artemis. I was born 21 years ago. Of course my mother left my fahter and me shortly after. I lived alone with him for most of my happy childhood until he remarried and. . died. . .after two years.
