Chapter 26
Perfect Imperfections"I've told you to ing recheck it, haven't I?! You are hopeless. Be professional for sake. I don't care, I need the replacement by tomorrow. Now, go back to your work and keep your damn focus!"
The frightened staff didn't need to be told twice. They left Heechul's office hastily before their boss threw another fit. Heechul on a daily basis was so scary but when the designer found something related to work didn't go the way he wanted to, he was even scarier. Donghae remained inside, nonetheless, he badly wanted to run for his life. Although he knew Heechul treasured him so much, it didn't mean he couldn't be the victim. Moreover, when he actually wanted to ask permission to end his work early. Hyukjae had booked a place for them to have dinner but now that his boss was not in a good mood, he lost his hope.
Heechul spun his chair around so he was now facing the pile of orders that screamed no more rest. He was still fuming about the carelessness of his staff. The fabrics he ordered missed one type of material that he needed. Well, he could've used another alternative but he had planned the design for so long and his staff just had to ruin his perfect plan. This week was so stressing and Heechul just wanted to properly finish his work and rest; he had been working overtime for the past days.
"H-hyung..."
Heechul huffed in annoyance when Donghae suddenly spoke, stuttering.
"What is it? I don't have time now."
"C-can I... I go home early tod-"
"Dammit!! You really got on my ing nerves, Hae. You're clearly aware of how hec-"
"B-but I've already had a plan, hyung. Just this one time."
Heechul's swirled around on his seat and suddenly got up, walking menacingly to trembling Donghae. The assistant was used to be yelled at but it still scared the out of him.
"Listen and drill it to your ears. You better work your off tomorrow or else I'll make you have plenty of time to ing stick to your anchovy while me having a new assistant."
Donghae wanted to grin because he was happy Heechul still granted his request, yet Heechul's glare made him unable to stretch his lips. He bowed deeply and then left before Heechul changed his mind.
---
He hurriedly went out of the office and closed the door quietly. As he turned around, he almost got a heart attack seeing Jungsoo had been standing behind him. He was still shaking because of Heechul's rage and now he was close to dropping to the ground because of Jungsoo. Seeing how shocked Donghae was, Jungsoo only chuckled sheepishly.
"Did I scare you, Hae?"
"Yes. No! Not really. The person who scared me is in the room."
Jungsoo raised his eyebrows, "Heechul? What's wrong with him?"
Donghae sighed, feeling so drained out.
"Something went wrong with the fabric orders, and... And Heechul-hyung is so angry over that matter. So, I guess... Yeah. Be careful, hyung."
"Of what?"
"He is really scary, and when I say really, I mean it. He's ready to murder anyone."
Laughing softly, Jungsoo patted Donghae's back before knocking on Heechul's office door. Donghae immediately walked away because he didn't want to see or hear Heechul's anger once again.
" off! I don't want to meet anyone!"
"Even me?"
Getting no replies, Jungsoo finally turned the knob. Heechul was slumping on his seat, looking at the ceiling. It was obvious that he was upset. Jungsoo put their coffee down on a table and strode over to Heechul. He stood behind the latter, looking down at the face staring at him.
"I'm so pissed off right now. Just ing leave if you don't want me to take it on you."
Jungsoo bent his body down and pecked Heechul's lips. He smiled at the upside-down face which was still very gorgeous despite the dark eye bags and disheveled hair.
"Take it on me then."
The coffee strong scent filling his nose reminded him that he dropped by to give it to Heechul, along with some pastry. Jungsoo plopped himself on the couch and took off his coat. As he loosened his tie, he glanced at Heechul who, now, was looking at him absent-mindedly. Beaming, he tilted his head, motioning Heechul to sit with him.
"Come here."
Despite his sulking, Heechul finally got up and walked towards Jungsoo. He froze when Jungsoo suddenly opened his arms and eyed his lap, still smiling handsomely. Blood rushed instantly to his face due to the suggestion. Although he was reluctant, he finally settled himself on Jungsoo's lap and immediately all the shyness was gone. He hugged the CEO tightly as all the pent-up emotions wanted to break free. He just realized that he needed this kind of comfort after a long tiring week. He tightened his hold on Jungsoo's neck and inhaling Jungsoo's musky scent calmed him. Happy was an understatement; Jungsoo was beyond cloud nine. Seeing how the younger slowly put his trust on him was the best feeling ever. He circled his hands around Heechul's waist and the slim figure softly over the pretty thin fabric.
"What is it, Cherry? Why are you sulking?" Jungsoo softly whispered. Heechul only whined which he knew it meant he should just shut his mouth. He carefully lifted Heechul's right leg and helped the younger to straddle him. Heechul still had his head pressed on Jungsoo's shoulder, seemingly not having any intention to move.
"I've bought you coffee so you can calm your nerves. Let's drink when it's still warm."
"Bothersome."
