"Hanna!"
Quietly, the young woman peered up from the book clasped between her hands; eyes focusing upon the navy blue uniform clad body bounding towards the bus stop she waited at with crossed ankles. Immediately she recognized the figure as her best friend, a small smile lifting the corners of her lips.
"Good morning, Jooheon," her tone was sweet as he knelt beside her, palms pressed against his knees, as his honey toned hair quivered with each ragged breath.
Almost on cue, Hanna raised a bottle of opened water up to his mouth as he took a generous gulp before cracking a bright smile, "You always have my back."
As Jooheon moved to sit beside her, Hanna lifted a small wrapped lunchbox into the air - giving it a quick wiggle - before setting it in his lap. Immediately his brows raised as he took the squared tupperware into his hands; fingers delicately untying the red bandana as he snuck a peek inside. Crescent eyes grew wide as a short gasp escaped his lips.
"You shaped the rice balls into bumblebees?" White teeth poked out from behind their peachy-fleshy barriers as he grinned wide, hands pressing the dosirak against his chest lovingly. "That must've taken you forever to make!"
Hanna merely shrugged her shoulders, forefinger lifting to push her glasses higher, "It's no big deal, really. I had fun doing it, to be honest."
A long arm coiled around her shoulders as Jooheon pulled his best friend into a quick side-hug; cheeks dusted a light pink once they pulled away. Clearing his throat slightly, he dipped his head down in an attempt to hide blush as his thin fingers worked on retying the bandana. As he did so, Hanna glanced at the silver watch that adorned her wrist before sighing.
"The bus will be here soon," she remarked before a low groan escaped her lips, "but I really don't want to go to class today."
Jooheon peered up at the street before shifting his vision to the girl sat beside him. Thick, neat brows knitting together, his head tilted to the side, "Why? What's wrong?"'
A slight twinge plucked at Hanna's heartstrings. Truthfully, she had been having problems with a couple of their classmate - Mina and Sohee. Ever since their teacher had assigned the unlikely trio for a group science project, Hanna had been searching for ways to weasel out of working with them as she aimed to finish her part of the assignment alone.
So far, though, the scale hadn't been tipping in her favor.
"I dislike working in groups," she answered with a sigh, a ball of stress knotting in her temple as a headache formed from the mere thought of it. Softly, she pressed her fingertips against the side of her head to rub soothing circles, shoulders lifting and falling into a shrug, "I'd rather work alone."
"Or you'd rather work with me, you mean."
Hanna cocked a brow as she turned her head to focus upon
