"Would you like to take a picture?" He smirked. "It'll last longer."
Althea blinked, cheeks reminiscent of a cherry, "W-what?"
Johnny hollowed his cheeks, large hand running through the thick strands of his hair as he leaned back into the couch. Spreading his long arms across the top of the sofa, the smirk strewn upon his lips twisted deeper. Slowly, his eyes scanned up the length of her figure before his dark eyes pierced her's with an intense, but alluring stare.
"Take a picture," the tip of his tongue poked against the side of his cheek as he flashed a devious grin, "it'll last longer."
Scoffing, Althea's mouth propped open in shock. He was blunt - too much so for her liking. Rolling her eyes, she leaned forward with a displeased expression, "You're a little arrogant, don't you think?"
His brow cocked at her words, head tilting to the side as a clicking noise emitted from the spot where his tongue bounced off of his cheek, "You're the one staring at me, aren't you?"
Rendered speechless, Althea gritted her teeth before awkwardly brushing invisible dirt from her outfit. She had been admiring him, but if she had known how condescending he was, she would've spit where he sat without question.
"Don't be too flattered," she mimicked his smirk. "I do it to everyone."
With those words, she rose to her feet as she made her way towards the large doors and exited without notifying Mia or the others. Ignoring the calls from a group of frat boys she passed on the short trek out, Althea quickly stepped into the cool night air; the chilled breeze refreshing her senses as it cooled her stinging face.
"What a jerk," she muttered to herself, pulling her jacket tighter against her body.
As she began trailing back to her dorm, Althea found herself tangled in a web of thoughts and an ever-growing distaste towards Johnny. Everything about him made her blood boil. To be frank, he acted like the typical frat boy - arrogant and excessively vain. A scoff escaped her lips.
He made the seven deadly sins look tame.
"Who the hell does he think he is? A prince? He's below a joker, an absolute fool. An arrogant idiot. A sickeningly handsome jerk with aesthetically pleasing hands and a bitterly-sweet charming smirk. God, I should've spit at him, or at least called him a jerk to his face. If I ever see him again, I swear on everything that is good and holy that I will put him in his place. That stupid, inconsiderate, arrogant, cocky, foolish son of a-"
"Yikes."
A strangely familiar voice caused Althea to nearly jump out of her skin as she halted her rant. With wide eyes, she directed her attention to the fountain - line of vision focusing upon the lean figure that sat upon the edge of the stunning structure. Squinting to garner a better look under the absence of vivid light, Althea recognized the newfound company as the male that had helped her during the day.
"You're the guy from the earlier," she gestured towards him before turning her body in his direction, "aren't you?"
A smile spread across his face as he nodded once, "That's me, yes. I have to say there's a definite contrast between how you were earlier compared to now." Pausing for a moment, he patted the spot next to him, "Care to tell me what's got you so riled up?"
Huffing a sigh, she accepted his offer as she sat beside him upon the fountain's ledge. Pushing her hair away from her face as she tucked the strands behi
