"Hey." Hoseok greeted when he finally reached where Yoongi was.

Yoongi slowly looked up from his phone, eyes narrowing as the landed on Hoseok.

"I'm-"

"You're the that was flailing like a fish a few minutes ago, aren't you?" Yoongi asked dryly.

Hoseok frowned slightly at Yoongi's harshness to a mere stranger.

"Oh sorry, did I hurt your feelings?" Yoongi sneered.

Hoseok smiled softly, "While I don't appreciate being called a ... Especially by someone I don't even know, I am glad that you remembered me."

Yoongi flared his nostrils, "that's great. Can you leave now?"

"My name is Ho-" Yoongi cut him off by stepping towards him.

"Listen kid, I don't give a who you are, what you do, what you say, where you're from, what your favorite ing color is, or any of that . I just want you to leave me the alone." Yoongi snarled, getting dangerously close to Hoseok with each word spoken.

Hoseok frowned, biting his lip as he did so.

"I'm not a nice guy. I suggest you stay away from me." Yoongi spat as he grabbed a fistful of Hoseok hoodie, pulling him dangerously close to him before giving him a hard shove, causing him to fall onto his .

"Ok... I get it... You're having a bad day. Sorry, I'll leave you alone."

After the incident with Yoongi in the morning Hoseok had been stuck in a sour mood. The bell rang, ending fifth period. Hoseok grabbed his backpack and exited the classroom, making his way to the lunchroom.

He sat down at his usual table, in his lonesome seeing as Taehyung was in the first lunch and he was in second. He pulled the pad of post-it notes from his pocket and got his marker out of his bag along with his notebook. He placed the pad of post-it notes on the lined page of the notebook, scribbling out a quick quote and grabbed his phone. He opened his camera and took a quick picture, not caring how bad it looked seeing as his handwriting was already hardly legible.

He opened Instagram and posted the lousy excuse for a photo.

@Jhopeful If simple things like happiness are the key to your heart ... Will you let me in?

He didn't know why he chose to write that, or what the purpose of it was. At the time being he didn't really care. The sound of a tray being set down in front of him made him lift his head, before him stood Min Yoongi, the exact reason for his new found sourness. Yoongi silently sat down, not even glancing at Hoseok before he took a bite of his food. Hoseok stared at Yoongi the whole lunch, Yoongi not even looking in his general direction.

The rest of the school day rang with a sour note. For once Hoseok had a bad day, which he long ago deemed impossible. Hoseok sighed as he walked home, being careful to run past the pessimistic blonde male when exiting the building.

He sighed as he ran a hand through his black hair. He continued his route home, a sea of endless thought engulfing his mind. Once he hand reached his house he eagerly went to turn the doorknob, ready to run in at the speed of light and sulk in his room for the rest of the day. He groaned when he realized the door was locked, it made sense since his mother's car wasn't in the driveway for once.

He sighed as he ped his backpack and rummaged around for his house key, his efforts being wasted since he had forgotten to pack it. Hoseok sighed in defeat before slumping his shoulders and sitting on the concrete step that led to the door.

He pulled out a red notebook from his backpack and a pencil and flipped the notebook open. He tapped his fingers along the spiral spine of the notebook, thinking of lyrics to write down. His pencil scrawled messily over the paper as he began to write, fingers drumming against the flat of the notebook to the rhythm he played over in his head.

어두워져 가 내 미래의 빛

치기 어린 사랑에 잃은 꿈의 길

내 야망의 독기 매일 칼을 갈았지

But 참을 수 없는 내 욕심에

칼은 무뎌져

알고 있어 다

Hoseok sighed as he thought of more lyrics only to result in smacking himself in the face with his notebook.

"Why is this so hard?" He wailed as he leaned back against his door, sighing deeply.

A low chuckle came from in front of him causing him to look up. Hoseok internally groaned as his eyes landed on Yoongi, a smirk plastered on his face. A scowl formed on Hoseok's face.

"What are you laughing at?" He grumbled.

"Your stupid , that's what." Yoongi laughed before shoving his hands into his pockets and continuing his walk down the sidewalk.

Hoseok growled under his breath, grabbing a fistful of his hair in frustration. Yoongi got under his skin and he just didn't understand why. Hoseok sighed for the umpteenth time that day and pulled his phone from his pocket. He powered it on seeing that he had an unread message from his mother.

Hoseok, sweetheart, I got called into work today, I won't be home till late. There are some leftovers in the fridge for when you get hungry. If you need anything just call or text! Have a good night sweetie!

"Well this is just fantastic..." Hoseok grumbled.

He dug around in his backpack again and pulled out his wallet, deciding he had enough money to go into town to waste some time until his father got back from work. He shoved his wallet into his pocket before packing his stuff back up and slinging his bag over his shoulder. As he reached the end of his driveway he couldn't help but glare at Yoongi's disappearing figure.

"Jerk..." Hoseok grumbled as he kicked a small stone on the sidewalk.

Yoongi turned his head, looking back just enough for Hoseok to see the smug smirk on his face, further irking Hoseok.

By the time Hoseok had gotten to the part of town with the most things to do a good chunk of time had passed, leaving only two hours until Hoseok could finally attack his bed back at home. Hoseok stood in front of the hair salon, debating whether or not he should go in. His decision was made for him when the girl inside turned to look at him through the window, a happy smile on her face.

A bell chimed as Hoseok walked through the door, the girl that had been cleaning her station waved at him and gave him a warm greeting, "Hey Hobi! It's been awhile since you've been in!"

Hoseok couldn't help but to crack a smile at the girl's cheerfulness, "Hey Mina."

Mina frowned at the tone of Hoseok's voice, despite the smile on his face he still sounded glum.

"What's wrong Hobi? Did something happen at school?" Mina asked, concern lacing her voice and overcoming her features.

Hoseok shook his head, deciding not to add a burden on the already stressed college student, "Just found out I was locked out of my house... Can't get in, my dad gets home late but I'm hoping today that he gets out early."

Mina gave Hoseok a crooked smile before calling her mother from the back room of the salon, "EOMMA! Hobi's here!"

A shorter middle-aged woman made her way out of the saloon doors leading to the backroom, countless stains from hair dye and bleach scattered across her apron.

"OH! Hoseok! Darling! It feels like it's been ages since I've seen you!" She stated warmly, wrapping Hoseok in a tight hug.

"I-It's nice to see you again as well Ms.-"

"What... are you... doing here?" A familiar voice scoffed.

Hoseok turned to see none other than Min Yoongi standing by the doors to the back room. Hoseok looked down to the floor immediately after seeing the blonde haired male.

"I wanted to get my hair done?" He muttered under his breath.

"Yoongi, sweetheart, did you get what you needed?"

Yoongi lifted a gray plastic bag up in response before walking towards the entrance of the building, harshly bumping shoulders with Hoseok, grimacing as he did so.
