7 Bangtan Princes

"Hobi! Hobi!" I called a bit frantically as I arrived at his house.

From the inside I could hear a female screaming at the top of her lungs and a lot of panicked "shooshing".

Hoseok flung the door open with a frightened look and pulled me inside, pointing to Taehyung and a woman having a stare down for the brief moment of silence.

"That's his lover..." He whispered in my ear. "She's quite rude..."

"Her?" I stared in anger a bit as she reached her hand up and landed a slap a crossed Taehyung's cheek, Hoseok jumping at the sudden action.

What the hell? Who is she to be hitting him like that? I stomped over to the two and grabbed her wrist as she went to slap him again. "YAH! Who the hell do you think you are hitting Kim Taehyung?" I yowled at her.

She took a step back in surprise. "Who the hell are you?"

"Park Hana." I threw her arm down to her side as I felt someone's breath against my ear.

"Yah, don't interrupt." Taehyung's deep voice rang in my ear but I ignored him.

"Park Hana?" She smirked a bit. "Don't interrupt us."

"He left you a year ago, from what I've heard." I continued talking anyways. "Why are you torturing him like this? Just get the hell away from him."

"Yah... I didn't call you over for this..." Hoseok hissed, trying to get my attention but I wasn't having it.

"You're just a fake woman in his life, you don't affect me." She reached her hand to slap me, Hoseok and Taehyung panicking a bit but she never brought it down to hit me.

"Yeah, I'm fake." I nodded. "But don't cling to people who don't want you."

"Don't want me?" She laughed. "He called me out the other day. And then he's the one who ditched me. For who? Ah... You."

This time she brought her hand down to slap me and I let her, Hoseok getting enraged and was about to come over when Taehyung shoved me away from her. "YAH!" He yowled.

I stood beside Taehyung and smiled through the pain on my cheek. "At least I don't cling. I knew you two were still hanging around each other but who would've thought you were possessive and verbally abusive? Now it's my business. Like it or not, I'm engaged to him by contract. You're stuck with me if you try and be possessive with someone who isn't even yours anymore."

I felt Taehyung's gaze on me as I spoke, the woman a bit speechless at my words and stumbled over her words.

Hoseok had enough and gripped her arm, careful enough not to hurt her to much, and forced her to leave his apartment, locking the door when she was out the door.

I met Taehyung gaze and noticed something I haven't seen before in his gaze. Respect. I smiled a bit and then turned as Hoseok approached me, his entire being focused on me.

"Are you okay?" He lightly touched my chin and tilted it up a bit and to the side, looking for any signs of marks. "Does it hurt still?"

"Yah, I'm sure she's fine." Taehyung snapped out of his gaze and pulled me away from Hoseok. "Right?"

"Ah, yeah." I touched my cheek a bit and then giggled a bit. "I'm fine."

Hoseok furrowed his brows a bit and then sighed. "I didn't invite you over to get hurt."

"Why did you invite her?" Taehyung looked a bit frustrated. "She shouldn't be in the middle of my issues."

"She needs to know what goes on beyond what she can see." Hoseok countered. "She's engaged to you by contract for a while, you might as well fill her in on how you live your life or else her position is pointless."

"This isn't something she should be in though!" Taehyung snapped. "My tasks are completely pointless now! They were all centered around making her angry with Hana!"

"You shouldn't use Hana like that in the first place!"

"Then what are you doing?"

"Treating her like a human!" Hoseok yowled in return. "How pitiful must you be to use a woman to make another woman jealous? That's horrible! If you wanted to do that, then why the hell did you make her sign a contract? Give her an option to her actions!"

"You didn't give her an option!"

"My tasks aren't treating her anyless than a human even in the slightest! I never make her look horrible or put her in an odd position!"

What the hell is going on? "Yah, guys..." I tried to interrupt but Taehyung's voice was louder than mine.

"How is this horrible? I'm the one being horrible, she just has to listen to me!"

Hoseok gave an odd look. "Did you just hear what you said? 'She just has to listen to me!' What is that? She has a mind too!"

"GUYS!" I couldn't take it anymore and chose to grab onto Hoseok's arm, snapping him easily out of the spat. "Can you stop? It doesn't really matter."

"See? She doesn't care." Taehyung yanked me from Hoseok's arm and over to his side. "Clearly, she's a human in my eyes as well."

"Yah! You can't just push and pull her all over the place!"

I broke free from Taehyung's grasp and rubbed my temples just as Namjoon, Jimin, Jin, Yoongi, and Jungkook burst through the door.

"What is it hyung?" Jungkook ran up to Hoseok and Namjoon ran up to me.

"Are you okay, Hana?" Namjoon touched my shoulder a bit as Jimin and Jin went over to Taehyung, clearly seeing how enraged he still was. Yoongi hung back a bit and observed the situation.

"I'm fine, I'm fine." I spoke, a bit frustrated. "Just keep these two away from each other for right now."

Namjoon nodded over at Jin, Jin and Jimin leading Taehyung to the sofa to sit down as Jungkook hung onto Hoseok's arm a bit.

"What happened?" Namjoon turned back to me, Yoongi coming up at my other side. "I panicked a bit when you said something was wrong with Hobi so I brought everyone I could but Taehyung was here too."

"Taehyung's lover caused a scene and then these two started screaming at each other." I rubbed my head again. "Ah, this is really just too much."

I glanced at Hoseok to see him staring at the ground with a frown on his face. I've never seen a smile leave his face in such a manner.. He's not shining so brightly right now..

Yoongi tapped on my other shoulder. "Park Hana, did you get hit? Your cheek is red." He touched his own cheek as he spoke.

"It's nothing, don't worry about it." I sighed, seating myself on the opposite sofa. "I just have a headache from those two."

Namjoon and Yoongi went over to Taehyung and spoke quietly with him.

Jungkook let go of Hoseok and went over to me, Hoseok continuing to stand there, rooted to the ground. "Hana, are you sure you're okay?"

"Yes, Jungkook. I'm fine." I smiled up at him. "How about you go take Taehyung and the boys somewhere else for a while? I'll stay with Hobi."

He nodded and rounded up all the boys, the 6 of them leaving, Taehyung casting a glare at Hoseok and running into his shoulder on the way out. But Hoseok never moved.

I stood up when they were gone and went over to Hoseok. "You're not shining very brightly right now." I commented. "What got into you just then?"

He picked up his head a bit, his eyes empty compare to their usual brightness. Oh man... He won the argument, why is he looking so defeated?

"Hobi-ah..." I frowned as well.

He took me in his arms and held tightly. "Just for a moment."

My heart fluttered and I felt a bit awkward and stiff for a while. But I eventually relaxed and embraced him as well. "Why are you so defeated?"

"I don't like getting angry with people I care about." He sighed against my neck.

"You care to much." I scolded him a bit. "You knocked some sense into that dummy. You did good."

He chuckled a bit and pulled away, resting his hand on my head a moment before a smile arced his lips once more. That's what I wanted to see. A smiling Hobi is the best Hobi. "You're so smart."

"Smart?" I smiled as well. "I wouldn't call what I just did smart by any means but.."

He glanced around his apartment, followed by a small sigh, and then locked gazes with me again. "Do you want to go somewhere with me? We never got to hang out like we wanted the other night."

"Can I pick the place?"

"Where do you want to go?"

I checked the time. "Actually, you pick today. We don't have enough time today so we'll do it tomorrow, if you are free."

"I'm always free." He laughed a bit. "What is it?"

"Let's go to an amusement park tomorrow."

The blood completely drained from his face and he shook his head vigorously. "Let's not go there."

"Oh-ho..." I smirked a little. "I forgot you were the one afraid of rollercoasters."

"I-I'm not afraid of them!" He hesitated. "I just don't like them."

"That would explain why your face is so pale, right?" I giggled a bit, hitting his shoulder a bit. "Come on. Let's go on a date there. Hm? Please? I went to the fair with Taehyung but it wasn't fun cause he sent me on all those spinning rides."

He looked a bit lost as to what he should do and then nodded slowly. "Okay... Fine. But I'm not going to go on them."

"We'll see." I smirked again. "But, that's tomorrow. For now, what should we do?"

He thought a moment and then nodded at the door. "I have an idea. Come on."

I followed him easily.

Hobi is so going on all the rollercoasters with me. I haven't been to an amusement park in ages. Maybe I should invite the others as well?

No. I want this to just be us. I want to see Hobi when the others aren't around. Though he doesn't change much, he doesn't seem as open with me when the boys are around. I noticed that when we went to karaoke.

Tomorrow is going to be so fun. I'm so excited!

--

"Where are we even at?" I looked around in confusion.

"It's a dance studio." He glanced around as well with a brilliant gleam in his eyes. "I thought that'd be obvious with the smooth floors and the mirrored walls, you know."

"What do I know?" I got a bit embarrassed. "Why'd you bring me here?"

"It's my dance studio." He countered. "You're the first person I've brought in here before."

"Really?" My heart warmed a bit and I couldn't help but feel a bit flattered.

"My favorite thing to do... Would be dancing." He nodded a bit to himself as he spoke. "So, let's do something I like and dance."

"Oh, no!" I panicked. "I can't dance."

"Can't or haven't?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Haven't..." I sighed. "But I'm obviously no good."

Hoseok turned away from me and went over to a stereo, fumbling with it a bit to get it to the right station. Oh no... Even worse... He's into the hip hop dance style...

"Ah, Hobi, I won't make you go to the amusement park with me anymore. Just don't make me dance..." I backed towards the door a bit.

He laughed. "Come on. It's fun. I won't laugh at you."

"Hobiii..." I pleaded. "Please?"

He faced his back to me and I could see his eyes closed from the mirror.

"Yah, what are you doing?"

"I'm waiting." He couldn't help but smile a tad.

"For what?"

"For you to come over to me so we can dance."

He stood there, rooted to the ground with his eyes closed, only move to scratch his head a bit. "I'm not coming..." I hesitated.

"Then I guess I'll be here all day." He yawned.

I made my over to him as lightly as I could, not making any noises, and stood behind him a bit. How long will he stand there?

I was about to just stand there with him when he turned around and opened his eyes, smiling brightly. "You came to me so now you can't back out."

"I-I didn't come to you!" I panicked and tried to back away but he lightly grabbed onto my wrists. "Y-yah..."

"Only for a little bit, you'll like it."

I hung my head a bit as he let go of me and sighed. "Fine... Only for a little bit."

He did a little bit of improv, which was highly impressive, and then tried to teach me a little bit of what he did. How do I even move my body like that, that makes no sense.

He worked for about an hour or so just trying to get me to do the first few moves of the dance, the two of us chuckling the entire way through.

We decided to take a little break and sat down where we were. "I told you, I can't dance."

He waggled his finger a bit. "You're better than most beginners. But, you have me as a teacher, so that was to be expected."

"Confident?" I panted a bit.

"Very." He leaned back a bit and smiled. "You seem out of shape."

"I told you, I don't do anything."

Hoseok's phone rang and he jumped to his feet, answering his phone that sat a crossed the room. "Hello?"

I watched him as he easily slipped into a comfortable conversation. He's like that with everyone... That's such a good trait to have. I wish I could be more like Hobi.

"Ah, no. I'm with someone important right now. How about another day?" Important? How am I important? "Cool, thanks." He hung up and walked back over to me. "Want to dance some more or do something else?"

My heart felt warm again and I stood up. Dancing is actually kind of fun with him... I want to do it some more. "Let's dance some more. It's fun."

"Of course it is!" He giggled. "Then let's dance!"

I couldn't help but giggle along with him.

His happiness and energy is so... Contagious.

We danced for a long while and then ended up against one of the walls watching a kdrama. I didn't realize how close we were sitting until the episode ended and Hoseok stretched.

"Are you hungry?" He scooted away and turned to me, tucking his knees to his chest.

I put my phone down and stretched my arms as well. "A little." I glanced at the time and noticed how late it was. "Whoa... Where'd the day go?"

He glanced at the time as well and smiled slightly. "Time goes by quickly whenever I dance. It's not a surprise that it goes fast for you as well, since you seem to enjoy it." He stood up and reached a hand down for me. "Let's go get some dinner. I'm hungry."

I took his hand easily and let him pull me to my feet. "Let's go!"

He chuckled again and threw an arm around my shoulder, the two of us leaving the dance studio a bit closer than we were when we had entered. We walked like that all the way to his car and he quickly opened the door for me, waiting until I got in before he shut the door and ran around, climbing in himself.

"You don't have to hold the door open for me, you know." I giggled a bit as he started the engine and drove off. "I'm starting to expect it now. When I was with Namjoon, I half expected him to open the door for me like you do but he didn't so I had to remind myself that only Hobi does it."

He boggled his head but didn't say anything like I expected him to.

We rode in a comfortable silence the entire way there and realized he was taking me to a Chinese restaurant.

"I hope you like Chinese." He looked to me for confirmation.

"I like Chinese." I nodded. "Just no shrimp."

"Hm? Why?"

"I'm allergic to it." I responded as he swiftly parked the car.

"Then no, no shrimp for you." He chuckled, running out of the car to get the door for me.

"Seriously..." I grew a bit flustered and exited the vehicle, letting him shut the door behind me again.

Hoseok held out an arm for me and I took it easily, the two of us giggling the entire walk into the restaurant.

I can be myself around Hobi. I really like that.

--

"Hana! Park Hana! Darling!" My mom's voice rang throughout the house. "Hana! Guess who's home from business? Oh... Who is that?"

I opened my eyes slowly and saw that she was pointing at Chico, holding Nova tightly in her arms. I groaned and buried my face back into my pillow. "Yah... Let me sleep."

"It's 8, you need to start waking up early!" She pulled the covers off me and watched as Chico cuddled up against my back anyways. "Who is this?"

"It's Chico." I sighed, sitting up slowly and holding Chico in my arms, unable to open my eyes all the way. "What do you want?"

"Is he nice around other dogs? I was going to drop Nova off."

"Probably." I grumbled, watching as Chico and Nova wagged their tails and touched noses a few times. "I'll have to get Chico fixed soon but at least Nova is already fixed."

Mom sat down on the bed and let Nova go and I Chico, letting the two go run off. If they fight, we'll hear it. "Why are you so tired? You didn't work last night."

"I was out with my friend and we danced a while. I'm a bit sore." I touched my shoulders and faced my back to her. "Massage?"

She sighed and massaged out some of the knots in my shoulders easily. "What friends? Surely not Hyejin. Were you at a club?"

"No, my friend likes to dance."

"Ah, I se... What's that?" She stopped immediately and held up my hand with Namjoon's ring still on it.

I panicked a bit and yanked it away. "It's a ring but I put it on my wrong finger." I mumbled, taking it off and holding it in my hand. "Just for fashion."

"It doesn't look like..."

"It is, don't worry." I got out of bed and stretched, my legs aching a bit. I'm so out of shape. "Who would I get engaged to?"

"True." She stood up as well.

I found my little box and placed Namjoon's ring inside, staring at Hoseok's a bit and then closing the box. "Make me breakfast."

"Can't." Mom sighed. "I must go. I only came to give you Nova."

"Yah... You never just visit me anymore." I clung onto her.

"Soon, soon." She patted my head. "Work hard, my daughter. Get married soon so you don't rely on me."

I'm married to 7 guys, take your pick. I sighed and watched her leave, turning immediately to the two dogs wrestling.

"Yah, we need to go to the pet store." I spoke to them but they didn't care. "Yah!"

I grumbled at them and then went back into my room, slipping back under my covers and just closing my eyes when my cellphone rang. Oh shoot, Hobi and I were supposed to go to the amusement park today.

I answered quickly. "Hello?"

"You said you'd call me but when you didn't I figured you forgot." Hoseok whined into the phone a bit. "But I wouldn't complain if you forgot where we were going."

I tsked. "Come get me."

"Okay, see you soon then." He giggled a bit and hung up.

I bolted from my bed and jumped into the shower, showering as quickly as possible before jumping back out and throwing on a jacket and pants. It's cold lately but they're still opened for a few more weeks. I'm glad.

I brushed out my hair and was just putting on Hoseok's ring when he knocked. "Come in."

Hoseok came in moments later and got excited when he saw two dogs running towards him. He lied down on the ground and let the dogs play around him.

I went over to him and slipped on my tennis shoes, prodding Hoseok's sides with my foot. He stared up at me with that familiar gleam in his eyes. "Yah, why are you on the ground. I haven't swept in a while."

He closed his eyes. "I'm sick, we can't go to the amusement park."

I reached down and grabbed his hand, pulling on it a bit. "Hobi~!"

He opened one eye, smiled a little, and then closed it again. "I'm sick though."

I reached down and felt his pockets, his eyes widening in shock and he tried to hit away my hands. "Y-yah! What are you doing?" He got flustered a bit.

"Stealing your money." I smirked, finding his wallet and taking it, slipping it into my pocket. "Bye, bye!"

I hurried out of my apartment, hearing Hoseok get up and run after me. "Hana!"

"I thought you were sick but you're moving pretty fast!" I giggled, reaching the bottom but not making it far before Hoseok caught me in his arms, stealing his wallet from my pocket quickly.

My heart raced as he slowly moved himself away from me and ran over to his car door, opening it for me. "Are you just going to stand there or are you going to get in?" He huffed, standing by the door.

"It's cold." I complained, shaking my head to clear my thoughts, and then getting into the car.

"Are you sure you want to go then? It is pretty cold." He glanced at me, hoping I'd change my mind.

"I'm sure." I relaxed into the seat and crossed my arms to my chest. "Wimp."

"I'm going, I'm going." He smiled and drove off.

--

"Ha!" Hoseok let out loudly, causing me to jump. "HA! You think I'm getting on this?" He pointed up to the tall rollercoaster we were in line for. "You're wrong."

He tried to push passed me but I held onto his shoulder, laughing a bit. "HA! You think I'm going to let you get away now? We're so close."

He glanced back at the rollercoaster and gulped, his face going pale again. "This is abuse."

"Abuse?" I tsked, holding his arm tightly so he couldn't get away. "Lies."

We moved closer and closer to the ride. The closer we got, the paler Hoseok got.

"You're starting to look like a ghost!" I laughed a bit.

He turned to me, a bit panicked. "Yah, yah! I've been so good to you! How can you do this?"

I rubbed his arm a bit and pouted. "Poor Hobi. I'm abusing you."

Within no time, we were getting into the rollercoaster. Hoseok tried to bolt twice but he couldn't try anymore since I forced the bar down on his lap when I finally got him to sit.

"ALL WE GET IS THIS BAR?" He panicked as he pulled on it. "Yah. YAH!"

"Calm down." I couldn't help but laugh a bit. "What a wimp you are!"

He grew silent and stared blankly at the space in front of us. We were the first cart, I picked it just for Hoseok. I waited patiently for the ride to start moving and when it finally did, I glanced back at Hoseok.

He bit his lip nervously but kept his head rooted to the front. "Hobi~" I called but he didn't respond. "Hobi-ahh~"

He glanced at me slightly. "Hobi-ah is not acceptable for you to use right now."

I giggled a bit and focused on the front as well. This is only our first ride, just wait until I go to my next one. It's even bigger.

We neared the top of the hill and at that point, Hoseok lost all ability to control himself and he panicked again. "Why do they only give you a bar and a seatbelt?" He whined.

"Because it doesn't go upside down." I responded before we went over the hill.

Hoseok lost it and screamed loudly. We went over many hills and down them just as quickly and he never stopped screaming. The entire ride was just filled with Hoseok's screams and my laughs. I couldn't stop myself from laughing and at one point, I even reached over and grabbed his hand to try and calm him down. But he didn't even notice.

This poor thing. I can't stop laughing though. I'm such a bad person.

The ride came to an end and so did Hoseok's screams. His eyes had no gleam in them and he looked dead to the earth as we slowed down.

"Hobi-ah..." I laughed a bit more. "We're done! See?"

He glanced around, completely dead to the world still. I helped him unbuckle and pushed up the lap bar, grasping his hand again as I forced him to rise and exit. He shook his head a bit, wobbled a little, and then he was good.

"Oh..." He bit his lip again. "I'm done."

I lost it again and doubled over laughing by the time we got back onto the sidewalk. "Yah... You're so weak." I let go of his hand and held my stomach, mocking his screams between my laughter the best I could. "You were so scared!"

He glared at me a bit and crouched down, hugging his knees to his chest and pouted. "No more... Hana... I can't do another one..."

"That was only our first one." I pulled myself together and patted his shoulder. "We have so much more to do!"

He buried his face into his knees and pretended to cry. "I can't do it!"

"Cry baby." I stood there a while and let him protest all he wanted but I never changed my mind so eventually he stood up.

He rubbed his legs a bit in pain. "Oww..."

"You crouched for to long, dummy." I sighed. "You're such a child."

I glanced around and decided to take him on a smaller ride for now. Grabbing onto his sleeve, I pulled him through the crowds of people and over to the Viking ride that swung back and forth like a pendulum. I looked at him to see his reaction but he just looked done.

There's got to be a ride he isn't afraid of. Let's just try this one.

I dragged him over to the queue and we waited for a while before seating ourselves in the back. I pulled the lap bar down and cast another glance at him as his face grew pale again. This one too? It's not even that bad.

The ride started, startling Hoseok. "This one too?" I frowned.

He didn't respond and just squeezed his eyes shut as it got higher and higher.

Should I take him on a kid ride? Surely that won't scare him.

The passed quickly and we exited, Hoseok looking even more done than the first time. "Ah..." I looked back at him. "What about a carousel ride?"

He glared at me a little and then twitched a small smile. "We can ride that."

"What a wimp you are..." I shook my head, once again dragging him over to the carousel and getting on with a bunch of kids.

We picked the bench since we didn't want to take any of the animals from the kids and the ride started quickly afterwards. Hoseok was pretty calm and seemed to be able to collect himself a bit more.

I want to go on the big rides again... But I don't think I can put him through that again even though it was so funny.

We got off the ride, Hoseok feeling energized again and pointed to a shaved ice stand. "We should have that."

"Shaved ice? I haven't had any in a while." I nodded, agreeing.

"I buy!" He ran over to it before I could even pull out my wallet.

He's a child like Taehyung but yet, he's 10 times more mature than Taehyung. I ran over and joined him as well.

"What kind do you want?" He looked down at me with the familiar gleam in his eyes. "I want cherry."

"Me too! I like cherry." I giggled a bit and Hoseok quickly bought the shaved ice, handing me mine. "Thank you."

We found a free bench over by the carousel and took time to enjoy our treats.

"I really want to go on the big rides." I commented around small bites. "Can't you just go on a few more? We could take turns like go on a big one, then a small one, then a big one, and then a small one. Please? I really want to ride them."

He looked at me and sighed, completely helpless. "Of course we can." He spoke quietly.

"Really?" I smiled at him. "Yah, you aren't such a wimp now."

"If it was anyone else, I would say no." He flushed a bit and ate his treat.

"Why me then?"

He didn't respond to the question and instead pointed out a gift shop, successfully dodging the question. "Look! We should go there when we're done here. I'll buy you stuff."

"Only if you let me buy you stuff too." I smiled again.

"Of course."

We finished our treats and I rushed him over to the power drop. "Heh, this one." I pointed up to it and watched Hoseok's face fall again.

But, reluctantly, he nodded anyways and we queued up for it. When it was our turn, I hurried over to the end seat and motioned for Hoseok to come over. He hung his head a bit and dragged himself over, sitting beside me as we both jumped into our seats and got ourselves secured.

We waited for others to load up before the ride started bringing us up, Hoseok letting out a few whines of protest as it went up further and further.

"Hey Hobi?"

"What?" I could just barely see him look down and then shoot back up with regret, his face hidden from my view once agian due to the securities of the ride.

"You're really cool right now." I giggled a bit. "Don't look down if you don't like heights, dummy."

"How am I cool?"

"A scaredy cat is going on rides against their will because someone else wants to." I mumbled, glancing down myself and feeling my stomach drop a little. I didn't mind heights but sometimes it was a bit much. "Don't always go against what you want because it's bad for you. But today, it makes you look cool."

"Now that I'm cool, we should leave." He joked as the ride paused at the top, going silent immediately.

I felt a bit bad cause I couldn't reach his hand to comfort him. He'll just have to deal with it on his own this time.

The ride plummetted a bit and then stopped, Hoseok shrieking out of shock. The ride did that a few more times before it successfully reached the bottom and let us off. A little wobbly on his legs, Hoseok walked out of there faster than any other ride.

"You really didn't like that one did you?" I giggled a bit and slid my arm around his. "Let's go on a small on now."

He nodded immediately and we set out to find a ride Hoseok would enjoy.

We ended up riding more small rides than big rides and it ended up making both of us feel ill. We were lying on the benches from a picnik table, holding our stomachs and trying not to get sick.

"Yah... We didn't even get to the big ones." I whined.

"This is a thing I am happy of." He joked, rolling onto his back and groaning. "This is a horrible date."

"It's not that bad." I closed my eyes.

"Of course it's not." He mocked.

I sat up slowly and groaned a bit. "Should we leave then, since we're both ill now?"

He sat up as well and nodded. We stood and left the amusement park slowly, sticking close to each other so we could pause when we needed to.

"I'm so taking you back here. Probably next yea..." I stopped myself, my heart aching. "Hopefully it doesn't snow this year so it can stay open."

Hoseok glanced at me. "Next year, huh?" He spoke the words I almost said anyways. "I wish there was a next year for us."

"What?"

He blushed a bit. "You're a fun person and I really admire you as a friend. It that we can't continue being friends after all this is over."

Namjoon is extending the contract but it still won't be forever... Maybe I should have taken off that 'no contact' rule, even if it only stands for a year after it actually ends... Just for Hobi. We are pretty good friends by now, after all.

Well... If we continue to stay good friends, we'll be able to wait a year to see each other again.

I shook the thought from my mind. I'm not even close to being done with these boys yet. We still have so much left to do.

I ignored his comment and we made our way to the car, Hoseok still managing to get the door for me even though he felt ill as well. We climbed in and sat a while, blowing heat throughout the car.

"Even though we didn't ride all of the rides I wanted to ride, it was still fun. Thanks for going with me Hobi, even though you don't like rides."

He smiled widely and started driving. "Only for you, Hana."

I felt flattered again and watched out the window, focusing hard on not getting ill in front of Hoseok.

What will happen to our friendship when this is all over? I can't help but be curious.

--

"Hana? What are you up to?" Jungkook's voice came quiet over the music blaring in my ears.

"What?"

"I said... What are you up to?" He repeated, a tad louder but still to quiet.

"Hold on, I can't hear you." I yelled into my phone and going into the restroom, making sure no one was in here before I sighed. "What did you need?"

He was chuckling. "What?" He mocked. "Okay, sorry, sorry. I want to go on a date with you. I'm assuming you're at work though?"

"Dude, it's like midnight." I chuckled a bit as well.

"I know but..." He hesitated all the sudden. "Okay, I didn't realize it was THAT late but still. Will you go on a date with me tomorrow?"

"Do I get to know what we're doing?" I leaned against the counters a bit.

"Nope, it's a surprise."

I nodded. "Fair enough. I'll go on a date with you. Why do you suddenly want to go on a date with me?"

"Uhm... Because I want to do my first task tomorrow."

"So it's not really a date then?"

"Well... Not really. I'm taking you to see my mom."

Was his mom the ill one? I think so because he doesn't sound happy about doing it... "What kind of food does she like?"

"She really likes rice cakes." His voice lowered a bit.

"Rice cakes? I can make them." I smiled a bit. "Jungkook-ah, don't sound so down. Your mom is a strong woman."

"Thanks Hana. I'll pick you up around noon tomorrow, is this okay?"

Ugh, less sleep. "Sure." I agreed anyways.

"Okay, thank you. See you tomorrow."

I hung up and slipped my phone back into my pocket.

She probably doesn't have much longer if she's really ill like he told me...

How sad to lose a parent as young as Jungkook. Or for any age.

--

I finished cooking the rice cakes and packaged them nicely into a small bin just as Jungkook knocked on the door.

"Come in." I called and peaked out the archway to see him coming in all cheekily. Grey overcoat with black jeans... Not a bad look for this kid.

"What are you doing?" He came into the kitchen and clasped his hands together behind his back, peaking into the bin I had just put the rice cakes in.

"I just cooked the rice cakes." I smiled.

"Oh, by the way, we need to stop somewhere before we see my mom." He bit his lip a bit. "I forgot."

"Where?"

"I need to get you a ring."

"Ah, I was wondering when I'd get one." I turned to face him. "Are you going to be like Namjoon and Hoseok and wear a ring as well? It is an engagement so usually only the woman wears one but those two wore one."

He nodded. "We all will probably wear one with you. Well... Maybe all but Taehyung."

"I see." I turned away and washed my hands, drying them on the cloth that hung from my stove. "Let's go then."

I went to go grab the bin but he beat me to it and flashed a rather handsome smile. I just chuckled and slipped on my flats, leading the way outside my apartment and down the steps of the complex.

"Do you drive?"

"Yeah, I just got my license."

I panicked a bit. "Just?"

"I'm a good driver, don't worry." He winked and climbed into the driver's seat.

I climbed in as well and took the bin from him. "Where are we going to buy the rings?"

"The same place Hobi hyung. We all got angry when he showed us the ring he bought you before we even knew you. He picks rings so well and we were all worried we couldn't top it. So, I'm just going to get them from the same place and hope it beats Hobi hyung's."

"'Hobi hyung'." I smiled a bit. "It's cute the way you say it."

He flushed and glanced at me. "What?"

"Eyes on the road! You're still new!" I panicked and he snatched his gaze from mine to the road again, still just as flustered.

"A-ah, y-yeah!"

We rode until we arrived at the jewelry shop. "Hobi went here?" I got out of the car in shock. "This place is expensive."

"Right?" Jungkook scowled a bit and ran inside.

"Wait for me!" I panicked and ran after him.

I browsed all the rings in awe and then got disturbed by Jungkook as he lead me over to the ring he was looking at.

"How about that one?" He a tiny ring that had multiple jems along the band instead of just one.

"It's cute!" I smiled a bit.

"Should I get it then?"

"It's really expensive though." I lost the smile instantly.

"Cheaper than what Hobi hyung spent." He commented.

"Really?"

"Yeah. Let's get it." Before he let me protest, he called over the cashier and purchased the ring along with his simple silver band as well.

I waited for them to finish the order and then Jungkook handed me my ring, slipping on his when I took it.

I slipped it on easily. "Yah, you knew my size as well."

"Hobi hyung told me after he gave you your ring." He chuckled a bit. "Hobi hyung knows everything sometimes and nothing others."

"Interesting."

He lead me back to the car and we drove off quickly. "Don't be startled if my mom tries to hug you. She likes everyone she meets."

"She's sweet." I smiled a tad and watched out the window. "My mom hates everyone. She acts like a teenage girl half the time. No wonder my dad hangs around with his friends more than with her."

"Your parents are still together?" He seemed a bit shocked.

"Uhm, yeah..."

"I assumed they were split up since you never talked about them." He rubbed his head awkwardly and pulled into a small drive way.

"Oh, no, they're fine." I laughed a bit as he turned off the car and we both got out.

Jungkook took a deep breath and walked towards the house, I following with the bin in my arms.

"Mom, I'm coming in." He called rather loudly through the door and then opened it slowly, opening it all the way when he heard the TV on. "Come on." He reached back for my hand and I took it easily. "Mom?"

"Jungkook-ah!" I heard her squeal from the otherside of the wall. Jungkook stood where the wall stopped dividing but kept me still hidden from her. "What brings you here?"

"I have someone I want you to meet." He smiled, a tiny bit of red seeping into his cheeks.

"Who?"

He moved forward and revealed me to his mom, her eyes landing on my instantly. I bowed quickly and smiled. "Hello, Mrs. Jeon."

"Omo... Who's this?" She sounded so healthy but when I saw her, my heart sank. She had to be no more than 100 pounds and her hair was so thin. Her chin looked more pointed than it was probably meant to be because of how thin she was. But yet, though she was so ill, I could tell she was Jungkook's mom. It's the eyes.

"This is my fiancèe." Jungkook brought me closer to his mom and took the bin from me, placing it on a coffee table. "Park Hana."

"Fiancèe? My boy is getting married?" She gasped, bringing her frail hands up to in shock. "Darling, come here, I can't get up but give me a hug."

I giggled a bit and easily obeyed her, giving her a gentle hug. "Can I call you mom?" I pulled away but she continued to hold my hand.

"Of course, of course! You're my boy's woman!" I love how she calls her son, 'my boy'. It's so precious. "When is the wedding?"

"We haven't it planned it yet, mom." I smiled gently at her again.

She ran her finger over my ring multiple times, her happiness shown clear as day on her face. "You're such a sweet woman."

"You just met me."

"I can tell." She let my hand go. "Jungkook-ah, come here and give your mom a hug. You haven't visited in a long time."

I stepped aside as Jungkook leaned down and gave his mom a tight hug, holding onto her a bit longer than she wanted but he eventually let go and stood back up.

"Oh, Hana made rice cakes for you." He forced a smile onto his lips though I could clearly see how pained he was at seeing his mom decaying like this.

"Oh?" She lit up again. "Those are my favorite!"

I hung my head a bit, flushing with happiness. "I'll keep them over here." Jungkook placed the bin on the end table beside her chair and then looked at his mom again. "Don't you want to get up and go outside?"

"I can't. I'm waiting for your father." She sighed, leaning her head back against the chair again almost as if it was tiring just to hold her head up anymore.

"Mom..." Jungkook tried to ask her again but she held up a hand and silenced him.

"I'm glad you let me meet her but I am not feeling well today so we can have a longer visitation next time." She smiled at me again.

Jungkook bowed his head slightly. "Okay mom. If that is what you wish."

I gazed at his mom, feeling so very helpless. I want to help her... But I can't... She really looks like she won't make it another day.

Jungkook grabbed onto my arm a little and started pushing me the other way. I hesitated and looked back at her. "I'll see you again, mom!"

"Yes, dear, see you again!" She giggled.

Jungkook pushed me until we were out of her sight and then looked at me before pushing me the rest of the way out of the house. When we reached the car, I him a bit.

"Yah! How can you just push me out of there like that?"

"She wanted us to go." Jungkook seemed a lot more serious than he was before we arrived.

"But we still could've said proper goodbyes!"

"No, we can't!" He snapped a bit.

"W-why not?" I was taken aback slightly by his sudden attitude.

He took a deep breath and then his serious tone went away and was replaced with a mournful tone. "She's about to go through another fit when she requests people to leave."

"A fit?"

"Along with her being ill, she's lost her mind a bit. My parents split up years ago yet she said she won't go outside until my dad showed up." He explained a bit slower. "She goes through these... Memory fits where she forgets where she is in life for a moment. She's gotten to the point where she knows when it will happen and tells everyone to leave."

My heart ached a bit. "Oh..."

He sighed and poked my nose, giving a wide smile. "Let's go on that date now."

"I thought we weren't going on a date."

"We are now." He ran around to his side and got in.

I glanced at the house with a frown and then got in as well. "So where are we going?" I sighed, changing the subject as he sped off.

"Ice skating."

"But it hasn't snowed yet."

"Indoors."

"Duh." I hit my head, feeling dumb. "That sounds fun except I can't ice skate."

"What can you do?" He chuckled. "You can beat me at basketball but you can't ice skate.."

"Basketball is all I can do."

"I'll teach you, don't worry."

I smiled a bit to myself, feeling flattered again.

Having 7 men around me isn't all bad.

--

"Here." He handed me a pair of white skates. "These are figure skates, they'll help you keep a bit more balance."

I took them from him easily and sat down on a nearby bench. He joined and immediately started putting on his skates.

How do I tie these correctly? He finished tying his and watched me with amusement before getting down on his knees in front of me and taking one of my feet, slipping the blade in between his legs as he got to work on the laces.

"What if the skates cut you?"

"They won't. They're inbetween my legs so the blade isn't cutting into anything." He smiled a bit, tying the first one tightly and moving onto the second one. "You really have never skated before?"

I looked down, a bit embarrassed. "No."

He finished tying them and took a second to look up at me, grinning a bit. "Well, let's go then." He got to his feet, the blades making him so much taller than he already was. I got to my feet and wobbled a bit, panicking that I'd fall before even getting to the rink.

"Don't walk on hard floors with these. The pathway is lined with rubber so stick to that, okay?" He held my arm for support and we made our way to the ice rink. "When you step on the ice, you'll feel like you're gliding so don't panic from the feeling, okay?"

I nodded and watched him as he stepped carefully out onto the ice and then turned, waiting for me. "This is scary." I admitted. "Can I just watch you for a little while?"

He shook his head and grabbed onto both my hands. "Come on, don't be a wimp." If Hobi was here, he's say something like 'oh how the tables have turned!' I can hear it already... I bet he knows how to skate.

I still didn't budge. "What if I fall?"

"I won't let you fall." He laughed a bit. "I promise!"

I took a hesitant step onto the ice, clutching onto Jungkook's hands in a panic. I immediately felt my foot slide away from me and panicked even more.

"Yah, yah, calm down." He backed up a bit, forcing me to move my other foot onto the ice. "Your foot isn't sliding. It feels like that for new skaters but look, it's still there."

I glanced down and sure enough it sat there, waiting for me to move again. "I don't like this." I whined as I moved my other foot onto the ice, wobbling a bit.

"Look, you're on!" He got a bit excited. "But there are other people who want on since you took so long, let's move over a bit."

He tried to let go of my hands but I clutched on for dear life. "Don't let go! I'll fall!"

He titled his head back and laughed, pulling me easily over to the side. My feet feel like they're just floating, like he said. I don't like this..."I have to at least let go of one of your hands to help you learn."

"What if I fall?"

"I told you that I wouldn't let it happen!" He reminded me.

He let go of one of my hands and I immediately sought out the wall but he slid us away from the wall. "Yah go back to the wall..." I huffed.

"It's cheating. When I learned how to skate, my dad just put skates on me and pushed me onto the ice. All he said was 'go' and I had to figure it out. I'm already causing you to cheat, don't get involved with the wall too!" He couldn't stop grinning at me. "Let's skate a bit. I'll hold onto one of your hands and help you glide a bit. I'll feel when you're falling and catch you before you do. Okay?"

I didn't trust him completely but I obeyed anyways. If I end up with a broken bone, I swear...

He started moving, slowly, glancing back at me a few times to make sure I was doing fine, and held onto my hand a tad bit tighter as I began to glide along with him. I wobbled here and there and didn't dare to move my feet as I let him pull me around the rink a few times.

"You haven't lifted up your feet once yet." He glanced back at me a moment, his cheeks and nose a bright pink from the cold rink.

"You said you'd let me glide." I countered.

"Yeah but not the entire time." He suddenly let my hand go and I panicked.

"JUNGKOOK!" I yowled, unable to control where I was going but before I toppled over, he was by my side holding me up again. "What was that for?" I glared at him, my heart beating helplessly from his arms around me like this.

"You have to learn." He smiled devilishly. "Lift up your feet and try to skate like everyone else or else I'll let go again."

I looked down at his steady feet movement and then looked at everyone else's. It's just like walking... But on ice... With blades that aren't even an inch thick...

I tried to mimic his movements but I nearly fell over again, his arms still around me and preventing it though. "I can't, I fall."

"You haven't fallen once." He reminded me, his face very close to mine. He slide an arm around my waist and let his other arm fall. "Do what I do. When I lift my foot, you lift yours as well. Match my rhythm. Don't lift your foot to high though."

I eventually forgot all about how close we were as I focused, very determinedly, on his and my feet working together. After a feel screw ups and stumbles, I managed to fall into a very messy rhythm with him.

"See how easy it was?" He glanced over and gave me another sheepish smile. "Can I let go now? I think you can do it. You just can't panic."

I nodded slightly and felt his arm leave my waist, my center of balance immediately thrown off and he had to grab my arm before I fell.

"See, I won't let you fall. Again." He let go and the same thing happened. This repeated about 10 more times until finally, he let go and I was able to at least glide on my own, still very wobbly. "Wah, look at you go!" He fell behind a little a bit and then skated up to help me turn around the small curve in the rink.

I smiled widely and giggled a bit. "I glided on my own!"

"You learn quickly, you know?" He admired me a bit and then skated in front of me a bit, turning around so he was skating backwards, slowly to make sure he didn't get to far ahead of me.

"I've been told that." I glanced at him, trying to pick up my feet and skate like he did but failing, Jungkook stabilizing me once more.

"Frustrating, isn't it?" He chuckled a bit, joining me back at my side.

"Very." I sighed, trying to stand up straight instead of henched over but my balance was thrown off again but this time Jungkook couldn't catch me in time and I fell backwards.

Jungkook stopped and stared at me a moment as I pouted, sitting up a bit. He bit his lip to keep from laughing and offered a hand. "I'm sorry, Hana. I didn't notice in time." He spoke with amusement glittered in his eyes but with sincerity in his words.

I smiled a bit and took his hand. He pulled me to my wobbly feet and we started moving again, Jungkook allowing me to hold onto him for balance again. "That actually kind of hurt." I whined a bit.

" it up." He joked, looking around at the other people. "Look at all the couples here."

"In theory, we're a couple too." I countered.

"Not actually though." He glanced down at his ring with a frown. "I never thought I'd enter a fake engagement."

"Me either but here we both are anyways." I sighed, stumbling a bit but using Jungkook for balance. "This is fun though."

"More fun than the date you went on Hobi hyung with?"

"Yah, is everything a competition to you when it comes to Hobi?"

"Didn't you already know the competition going on between some of us to make us your favorite? Right now we can all see how close you and Hobi are getting. We don't want someone who isn't even competing to win favorites." He half joked. "We aren't trying to mess with your heart anymore. We changed the game to just making you want to hang out with one of us more than the others."

"And that's better?" I scolded him a bit. "You boys have nothing better to do, do you?"

He shook his head, completely honest. "Did you realize, you were skating on your own this entire conversation?"

I grew shocked and lost my balance again, Jungkook catching me at the last second again. "I seem to be able to do it when I'm not focusing." I grumbled.

"That's how most things are though." He moved my hand from his arm to his hand and sent me a cheeky smile when I gave him a funny look. "It's easier to skate like this. I feel like you're trying to drag me down when you hold onto my arm like that."

Well I feel like I'm going to explode from you holding my hand. I gulped and continued to skate with him until my feet got tired and we decided to take a little break, sitting on the bench just outside the rink.

"Hey, how young were you when you learned how to skate? You're really good at it."

"I'm good at everything." He countered, seriously for a moment before breaking into a nervous laughter. "I learned when I was about 5 or so. My dad taught me."

"You said your parents were split up... When did that happen?"

"When I was 10." He sighed. "My mom was started to go a bit crazy by that point and my dad didn't want to be with her to see her lose it. She's made it to this point but... I don't think she'll make it another 10 years."

"Yah, don't get sad." I rubbed his back a little and then clasped my hands in my lap, watching the peopl circle the rink. "My grandma was like that. She slowly went crazy when I was younger but made it to my high school graduation before she passed. I was thankful enough that she could hold on long enough to see me graduate. That was my only wish for her."

He looked down a bit and rubbed his eyes. "That's sad."

"Are you going to cry?" I joked with him a little. "Yah, you're supposed to be manly."

"I'm not crying." He laughed a little. "I had an itch."

"Mhm." I smirked at him. "I'm sorry your parents split up, but don't be sorry for your mom's fate. When bad things happen to someone then it means an even greater fate will come to them in another life. Don't you know?"

"I've never heard that before."

"It's because my grandma made it up when before she died." I chuckled nervously. "But I like it and it rings true for me. So hopefully you can find comfort in those words as well."

"I like it too." He blushed a bit and hung his head, playing with the ring on his finger.

"I bet your mom will make it longer than you think." I tried to comfort him a bit. "She seems like a strong woman."

He nodded. "She is. She'll love your rice rakes for a long time even though they won't last a while."

I prodded his shoulder a bit. "Let's go skate some more and then grab some dinner, hm?"

He nodded and helped me to my feet, the two of us making our way slowly over to the rink and back onto the ice.

I held onto his hand for balance once again and we circled the rink a while, talking about each other and finding ourselves growing closer.

Jungkook sounds like he's had a rough life but he doesn't act like it.

He's pretty strong. I admire that.

Chapter 50: I like Yoongi's part in this. And this final chapter really struck me.
When I was around 11years old, I became friends with someone who was bullied for her weight. At that age, I didn't realize how badly my words could impact someone, and I mistakenly told her that I needed to study instead of talking to her. She got depressed further, and left school soon afterwards, and I wasn't able to get in touch with her until we were around 20... A lot of regret, but I can't turn back time... That was a lesson learned the hard way.
