I Really Don't Know What To Do Anymore
The Red Thread of FateTaemin’s P.O.V:
I rested back on my seat as I looked around the VIP section of the plane, for what seems like the nth time.
Okay Lee Taemin, tell me! How ridiculous can this situation get? You were about to go to Jeju-do on a lovely trip. You were anticipating it so much! Meeting Aerri, talking to her while you were on the way to Jeju-do; as she sat next to you in the plane, having a merry ‘Ahaha ufufu’ time. But what the hell is going on here?!
In the whole plane that is filled with people, you are the only one who is sitting like a freaking loner, with no one next to you! And Aerri, she is sitting there! All the way in the front! That too next to whom? That sneaky, play-boy, Casanova – Jonghyun hyung!!
Ha~ I guess I'm hating on Jonghyun hyung a little bit too much these days just cause he already hooked up with Elisa noona...
Seriously Taemin, how ty can your life get? You’re so damn pathetic!
Oh God! At the very least, you could have given me a partner to sit and spend my time with…
“Ehh~!? My seat is next to this kid? I wanted to sit somewhere else though…”, a distinctly familiar voice spoke.
My head snapped to my side as I looked towards the person who spoke.
Elisa noona?
“Yah kid! This is 8-A & B right?”, Elisa asked. “Yeah..”, I answered. “So, this is where my seat is supposed to be?”, she frowned.
As if instantly, my heart dropped.
Oh God, just how much do you hate me? What did I ever do?
Elisa just looked at me disappointed. I flashed her a hesitant smile. Well, I can’t be rude to a lady, right? Elisa looked at me and sighed. She walked ahead to where Aerri sat.
“I’m supposed to sit with that kid. I wanted to sit next to Jonghyun though. And why are you the one sitting next to him?”, she asked.
Okay… So what’s happening now?
“Well, it can’t be helped now, can it? This is where my seat is. This is where I am supposed to sit.”, Aerri answered. “Well, in that case, switch with me.”, Elisa spoke.
“What?!”, Aerri asked, stunned.
What! Wow! Way to go Elisa! Although, I know you’re being rude by rejecting to even sit with me, acting so disappointed, but oh well, whatever! Way to go! Good job! Anyway, sitting with Aerri is WAY better than sitting with you!
“I said, switch with me! C’mon we don’t have much time! The flight attendant will announce the departure soon enough!”, Elisa spoke. Saying this, she pulled Aerri up and pushed her a bit to the side, as she made way for herself and sat down next to Jonghyun hyung like nothing even happened.
Aerri looked at Elisa, stupefied. “So… where am I supposed to sit now?”, Aerri asked, admitting defeat.
“8-A. The seat next to the window.”, Elisa spoke. Aerri took her luggage from the overhead cabinet and came towards my seat. “8-A…?”, she spoke to herself as she scanned the numbers written, searching for her seat. “Here!”, I said, pointing to the window seat next to me.
Aerri looked at me and froze for a second or so. Her ears starting to turn red.
What’s with that reaction? Did something happen?
“You can sit here if you want to.”, I said pointing towards the seat. Aerri looked at me for a second, hesitant. “You don’t want to..?”, I asked, a bit disappointed. “No! I want to but-!”, she paused. “But…?”, I repeated, waiting for her to complete. “Can I…?”, she asked, hesitantly. “Of course!”, I beamed.
I helped her with the luggage and allowed her to go ahead and seat herself down. “T-Thanks.”, she muttered. “You’re welcome. You don’t mind sitting next to me do you?”, I asked, worried that perhaps I forced her to sit next to me. “No way! Not at all!”, she defended, stunned at my question. My eyes widened a bit at her sudden reaction. “Besides, I like sitting next to you and talking to you!”, she added.
My heart fluttered at her comment. “Oh… so it’s that way, huh?”, I mumbled to myself. “Sorry. I didn’t hear that. Did you say something?”, she asked. Oh crap! She has sharp ears! Good that I didn’t mumble anything else! “Ah! It was nothing! I was just mumbling to myself.”, I chuckled.
“Oh… I see.”, she said, and fell silent.
