You were awake when Yoon Sung entered the room again.

So was Sun Hee who had been silent for the past few hours.

“Nice to see you again, girls.” He smirked. He waved his hand through the air and the wall rippled, replaced by Nana and the others again.

Nana bit her lower lip and you saw that her lips were split and cracked, her face had a few bruises and cuts as well.

The other trainers had injuries similar to hers.

Yoon Sung stepped into the middle of the room and clapped his hands once. “Welcome, everybody.” His dark hair continued to cover his eyes as he spoke. “As both sides know, I have brought you all here for a reason. So all of you could witness the miraculous research that I have conducted over the past years.”

“You’re crazy.” Nana blurted, tears running down her cheeks.

He shook his head and smiled a small smile. “It may seem like that now, but after I’m done, you will be able to see the pure genius in this experiment.”

Zico was quick to respond. “You’re just a mad scientist then!”

Another trainer joined in with Zico as they began shouting at Yoon Sung.

Yoon Sung ignored both of them and turned to face you and Sun Hee. “Now, who should I start with first?”

“__________!” Sun Hee yelled out.

Yoon Sung’s smile grew bigger. “Very well.” He walked over to Sun Hee who’s face had suddenly grown pale and blank. He reached over and slipped his hand gently under her shirt, making her eyes widen as he placed his hand on her bare stomach.

The room was still dark as he performed his plan.

Silver streaks slipped out of his hand, winding its way all the way up his entire arm. He pressed his hand firmly against Sun Hee’s stomach and you could see purple beginning to flow from her body and into his arm.

He sighed in satisfaction as he watched Sun Hee gasp in pain, her blonde hair sticking to her sweaty cheeks.

She arched her back in pain, gulping in huge breaths of air.

The last bit of purple flowed into Yoon Sung’s arm and he pulled his hand away to reveal a purple flame burning in his palm, surrounded by his own silver streaks.

He grinned as Sun Hee dropped back on the bed, too exhausted to move.

You trembled as he turned to you.

“Wasn’t that amazing?” He smirked.

“No....” You whispered.

Nana screamed out. “Don’t touch __________ unless you want to die!”

This only made his smirk grow wider.

“As if you could kill me, Seul Nana.”

He smiled as he brushed his fingertips through your silky black hair again. “I kind of don’t want to do this to you, since you’re so pretty. I hate to see you in pain.”

You didn’t know what to do as he pushed away the bottom of your tank top, exposing your flat stomach. You felt goosebumps break out on your skin.

He placed his hand on your abdomen like he had earlier with Sun Hee and smiled at you. “Don’t worry, ___________. You and I will be just fine.”

You gasped as you felt some invisible force reach into your flesh and begin trying to grab hold of your powers.

Pain.

That was the only word that echoed in your head as he began laughing, his voice echoing throughout the room.

Shivers began rolling continuously down your spine as he withdrew your powers from inside of you. You twitched and suddenly arched your back as the pain grew even more intense.

In fact, it was so intense that it was worse than the pain that had occurred when Sun Hee had inserted her venom inside of you.

Your back arched involuntarily in pain.

“Excellent...” Yoon Sung murmured.

“STOP!” You screamed out pleadingly, wishing he would stop.

“____________!” Zico screamed out, wiggling around in his tied arms and legs, trying to slip his hands out of the ropes.

Yoon Sung laughed loudly when he finally drew the last bit of your power from inside of you and you fell back on the pillows, breathing hard.

Smiling, he reached out his hand to your sweaty head of hair. “You did well, ___________. Thanks.”

“You psycho jerk.” You spat, glaring at him.

He grinned as the last bit of silver streaks faded back into his arm. “Well it’s not like you have the power anymore.”

You were too exhausted to fight back.

The door slammed open and Yoon Sung jumped up, looking at who had burst through the door.

Kiseop and Dongho had burst in along with a few other armed students, their powers flaring in their palms.

You recognized Hyun Jae part of the students as well, a stormy look on her face as she charged into the room.

Kiseop and Dongho nodded and exchanged a look before charging in as well, leading all of the other students along.

Yoon Sung’s face contorted into one of anger as he laughed and watched them rush over to the other trainers and undo their ropes.

When they were untied, you gasped as you watched them all fall face flat on to the ground, unable to move.

“What...” Kiseop cried, looking panicked.

“Paralysis poison.” Yoon Sung grinned. “I programmed it so that when my captives were released from their ropes and chains they would be paralyzed.”

Kiseop angrily grabbed Zico and helped him on his back, carrying him out.

Hyun Jae did the same with Nana. Nana glared at Yoon Sung.

Yoon Sung merely smiled as he lifted his hands. Silver lined with Sun Hee’s purple and your black shot out of his palms and slammed into Hyun Jae and Kiseop, making them fall to the ground painfully.

You cried out as you watched them groan in pain. “Get everyone out of the way first!” You screamed. “Leave us here! We’re not going to die!”

Kiseop grimaced at you as he struggled to stand up.

Stay strong.

You looked to your left in surprise when you felt something tugging at the chains on your wrist.

“Hold on.” Dongho whispered. He held up his palm and you saw a dark blue fire flaring as he held it close to the chain.

The chain melted away uselessly after a few minutes.

Yoon Sung turned his head away from Kiseop and caught Dongho beginning to melt your other chain. He stuck out his palm as silver shot into Dongho’s body, making him collapse to the ground. He turned around and saw Kiseop carrying Sun Hee out of the room.

Kiseop sprinted as fast as he could, carrying Sun Hee’s now paralyzed body with him.

Yoon Sung growled as he shot more silver at Kiseop, making him stumble and lose his balance, but he continued to run clumsily away.

Dongho struggled to get up and Yoon Sung walked over and kicked him away. Dongho groaned as Yoon Sung’s foot connected with his ribcage and he heard a terrible cracking in his body.

Yoon Sung grabbed you by the waist and tore you out of your half melted chain, making you wince when it cut into your wrist.

You gasped when you felt your body go limp and useless, unable to move.

A fresh round of students filed in and surrounded Yoon Sung from all sides.

He smirked as he hoisted you on his back, wrapping your limp legs around his own waist.

“Yah!” You screamed in protest, unable to do anything else.

“Hold on.” He smirked as he held his hand to his own chest and silver and black surrounded the two of you in a large dome shaped structure.

My power... So close, but so far.
