Notes About the World

It is mainly inhabited by supernatural/magical creatures.

Humans do exist of course, but they aren't really treated the best unless they have a lot of money.

Some types of creatures are cruel and heartless, while numerous of them are kind and sweet.

The creatures only fall in love once. This love is stronger than any bond humans ever made, though there had been some cases when supernatural beings (mainly demons and vampires) were the mates of humans. They didn't end well.

Oftentimes, the more 'human-like' beings can be tricked into believing that they had been found by their mates. It had happened many times before, and never had it ended well.

In this world, age only matters for humans, since most beings live for a very, very long time...

Characters

Choi Seunghyun

A demon that had been alone for a very long time. He had grown quiet over that time, his only goal in his life to find his mate. He doesn't understand why he can't find them, and would give anything for at least just seeing them for a few minutes. To know that they are alright... To others, he can be quite cruel, but unlike other demons, he has a sweet side.

Kwon Jiyong

Jiyong is a young dragon from a very wealthy family. Or at least as he remembers. Dragons, being very special with their two different forms and many powers, had been 'hunted' by others for a long time. For a long time, Jiyong had been convinced that he had found his mate. That he was safe and sound with him. Sadly, it wasn't true. But by the time Jiyong realized it, it was too late...

A note about dragons:

They are very powerful creatures, but this power comes with risks. They have a 'human' form, in which they are extremely fragile. In that form, they are almost innocent and sweet like faeries or other cute beings. Yet in dragon form, they are more powerful than stronger demons or vampires. But it's very hard for them to change into these forms as the transformation process requires a lot of energy.

Because of being vulnerable and extremely strong at the same time, dragons had been the victims of 'fake-mates' for more times than one could ever count. And nobody can really do anything against these things, since it's impossible to see if someone is an other's true mate or not. And even when the victims don't feel anything for their 'mates', they try to fall in love with them. Everybody knows about how things like this happen, yet no one does anything against it...
