AN: Okay, so I am an idiot. That's for sure now. I was ready with most of the chapter when I closed the tab -.-" I hate myself at these times T.T So yeah, don't expect this chapter to be any good cause I'm already on the brink of tear.

When Seunghyun had finally finished the not so tasty looking soup he had been cooking, luckily without breaking anything, he slowly brought a bowl of it to the table. He took his time to admire the sleeping dragon that looked beautiful, even in his sleep. Seunghyun just couldn't believe how lucky he was to have someone like Jiyong as his mate. Of course, if the petit boy had been less perfect, or less pretty, he wouldn't have loved him less. He would have felt the same admiration towards him. Yet still, he just couldn't help but stare at the gorgeous sight in front of him.

He had to admit that this was the first time that he had seen something... someone so beautiful. Jiyong now had a tiny, peaceful smile on his pinkish lips and he looked completely at ease. Like nothing bad had ever happened to him. Yet even without knowing his past, Seunghyun knew that it wasn't true. Jiyong had been through something more than terrible.

Seunghyun sighed softly, but chuckled when Jiyong's tiny nose twitched as the sort of weird smell of the food had finally reached it. Slowly, those beautiful dark brown eyes fluttered open and the dragon looked at Seunghyun with a sleepy smile on his face. "Is it morning yet?"he asked drowsily, rubbing his eyes cutely. Seunghyun couldn't help but chuckle at the adorable boy. He just couldn't believe how innocent Jiyong looked at that moment.

'It's still at night, but I've made some food for you..."The demon said, smiling as the dragon finally noticed the bowl of food that had actually woken him up."Oh."he muttered. To the older male, it was obvious that the tiny boy was still half-asleep.

Slowly, Jiyong started eating. His nose scrunched up as the first spoon of food was lifted into his mouth."It's kinda salty..."he muttered, but continued eating. He hadn't even proper food for a long time, so even if the soup wasn't that good, he was thankful to Seunghyun. A few years ago, he had decided to give fruit, bread and raw meat to the dragon for most of the time in order to make Jiyong's 'dragon side' appear. Of course, he had completely ignored the fact that contrary to what humans used to believe in the past, dragons didn't eat raw meat. Okay, maybe they hunted sometimes when they were in dragon form, but it rarely ever happened as they didn't like the taste of it.

Jiyong shuddered at the thought of that poor bunny that had once been thrown in front of him with the cruel words 'Kill it!' He couldn't bring himself to destroy the tiny, adorable creature. In the end, the vampire 'let it go', but Jiyong knew that he had been lying to him when he said that he didn't kill it. times like that, the frail dragon wished that he was strong enough the face his captor.

Seunghyun, who had noticed that something was wrong with his mate gently touched the younger's shoulder, making him flinch away. "Are you okay?" he asked softly, soothingly as if talking to a small, frightened animal. Jiyong nodded as his cheeks turned crimson and he continued to eat slowly.

Seunghyun sighed, easily detecting the signs of uneasiness in his angel after their small 'talk'. He wanted to know what had made him like that. And he wanted to find it and destroy it. Or them...

A few minutes later, Jiyong had finally finished his food. He pushed the bowl away and sent a tiny, thankful smile towards the demon who smiled back at him in return. "May I use the phone now?" Jiyong broke the silence softly, his voice barely audibly. He wasn't even looking at Seunghyun, he was staring at the bowl in front of him like it was really interesting.

"Sure."Seunghyun said as he helped the dragon up. Even though he luckily recovered quickly, he was still a bit unsteady on his feet, probably because of the blood loss.  They slowly walked to the couch in the living room and sat down. They were sitting pretty close to each other, something that Jiyong was at the moment thankful for, because he wasn't sure how he was going to call his mother without breaking down and somehow, Seunghyun's calmed him down a little.

The dragon was handed a small, black mobile phone after that. He typed in the familiar numbers quickly, inwardly begging for her mother to still have that number and to be awake at that time. A few moments later, he could finally hear the sweet, but at that moment sleepy voice that he had missed so much. "Hello? Who is calling at this time?"the woman asked. Tears gathered in Jiyong's eyes and he couldn't even utter a word for a few moments. "Excuse me? Is anyone even there?"He could hear that his mother was getting irritated, so he finally forced those few words out of his mouth that he had wanted to say so much for a long time, yet know he could barely whisper.

"Mom... It's me..."

After that, Seunghyun could only hear the hushed conversation of mother and son who seemed to be very happy to finally talk to each other. It was obvious that they hadn't seen each other for a very long time, and somehow the fact that they could talk again filled Seunghyun's heart with warmth. The tiny, shy smile on Jiyong's lips was enough to make his once cold heart melt. He smiled as Jiyong's voice finally got a little louder as he chatted almost animetedly with his mother.

Yet his heart clenched the moment he overheard the woman say something about the boy's mate. The images of his future with Jiyong that he had already had in mind had completely shattered at that moment. He should have known that a creature as beautiful as Jiyong had already found his mate, even if Seunghyun was sure that he was born to protect the tiny dragon. He had no idea how he could make such a big mistake and fall for the dragon if they weren't even meant to be. Though, he had no idea how that happened because he had never though of anyone falling in love with anyone else than their mates.

Yet the moment he heard Jiyong whisper "He wasn't... my..." and then start sobbing, his heart was strangely filled with hope again. Despite that, he couldn't help but frown and pull the tiny figure even closer to him, hugging him gently but leaving enough place for his hand so he could continue talking to his mother.

A few minutes later, Jiyong and his mother finished talking and hang up. The small boy was still in Seunghyun arms, tears still glistening in his beautiful, but already red eyes. "Shh, it's alright..."Seunghyun whispered, rubbing his back gently.

Slowly, Jiyong laid his head on the demon's broad chest and cried. But at least he knew that he was safe...

AN: Umm.. another thing guys (besides apologizing for the crappy chapter). I was wondering... Is anyone interested in beta-ing this story for me? The truth is that I leave typos and things like that often, but sometimes even I can't find them in time and I hate that... So yeah xD
