Lost Number

The Story of a Broken Dragon

AN: Hi guys ^^ Um... Yeah, I'm updating again... But... May I ask something from you? Could you check out my new (GTOP) fic, I Want To Hear You ? Thank you ^^ And I really loved reading the comments, thank you for them as well <3

Jiyong slowly followed his mother to his parents' car, looking back at the demon who was still standing in the door with a longing look on his face. Jiyong had caught him looking at him like that a few times before, but he really didn't care about it. Or at least not at that time. The boy small smiled at the demon once more before stepping to his father who was standing next to the car.

The older dragon looked at his son for a long time, then hugged him tightly. Jiyong couldn't say anything, just sniffed into his father's coat as he hugged him back. He was happy, yet he couldn't help but cry.

It was weird, really. A few days ago, Jiyong wouldn't have even though of escaping from that room that had technically been his prison for years. He always tried run away, of course, but until then, he never succeeded.

Yet now, he was there, in his father's arms. Everything was going to be alright... Or at least he hoped so.

"Let's go home..."His mother said softly after some time, pulling Jiyong into the back of the car gently after her husband had let their baby boy go.. The boy nodded, beaming at his mother, his eyes were still teary.

"Yeah..."The small boy said, getting into his usual seat. He knew that his parents were going to start questioning about what had happened, and he was getting a little nervous. He didn't want to tell his parents how he had been fooled and toyed with. He didn't want them to know...

Still, the moment they arrived to their house and his father stopped the car, Jiyong practically bounced out of it. He was grinning from ear to ear as he looked around, his childish self showing once again, because he was home.

Home.. He could barely wrap his head around the fact that he was back to the house he had spent his childhood in.

But suddenly, his heart clenched when he thought about how much time he had been away. Of course, it wasn't his fault, but still. He sighed and went to hug his mother who had just gotten out of the car, worried by his son's sudden change of mood. "Are you okay, baby?"she asked.

Jiyong nodded and smiled at her softly. "Yeah... I just... Haven't been home for a long time."he said. "Nothing has changed."he added as he pulled away from his mother and followed his father who was entering their house. What he said had been true. Their house was still fairly big for a family of three people, and it was still painted white, though it looked like the door had been changed since he hadn't been home.

Even the atmosphere was the same. It was simply welcoming and homey, something Jiyong had missed without even realizing it.

"Baby, could you tell us what happened? I understand that Seunghyun had found you, but..."his mother started as they walked into the living room. It was quite simple with cream colored walls and a huge leather couch. Jiyong's mother would always say that she didn't like cramped living rooms.

There were a couple of photos of their family on the wall. To human eyes, they would have been quite the sigh since the only one that changed on the pictures was Jiyong. On every single photo, his parents looked the same.

On the wall opposite of the couch hung a flat-screen television. Jiyong noticed that it was much bigger than the one they used to have. He sighed shakily as he sat down and looked at his parents who were both looking at him.

"He just realized that I wasn't the 'one'."He lied smoothly, looking at his feet as if it there was something really interesting on them. "I got very... sad because of it and ran away. Seunghyun found me and that's all."he ended his tale with a forced smile. His mother rolled her eyes. Maybe her son was lying more fluently now, but it was obvious that he wasn't telling the truth. But she did know that she should leave him alone until Jiyong decided to tell them the truth.

"He was an idiot, baby."She said softly, rubbing her son's shoulder gently. Once again, the boy looked away, but nodded slightly. He just couldn't look into his mother's eyes.

The boy's father was looking at them. He knew that Jiyong had lied as well, but he couldn't understand why his wife would accept the obviously fake tale... He made a mental note to ask her about it when they were alone.

Suddenly, Jiyong tensed. His eyes widened and he started feeling around in the pocket of Seunghyun's jeans frantically. "Where is it?"he asked himseld, biting into his lip as he tried to find the piece of paper Seunghyun had given him. But it wasn't anywhere.'No..."he mumbled, tears gathering in his eyes.

"What is it, baby?"his mother asked softly, not really understanding why her son was acting so strangely.

"I lost it.."Jiyong whispered, looking like a child who had lost their favorite toy."I can't find it.."he added.

"What did you lose, sweetie?"his mother asked worriedly, though she was almost sure that she knew that Jiyong was talking about.

"Seunghyun's number!" The petit boy screamed, clearly panicking. He couldn't believe that he had lost something so important. He had no idea how to take the clothes back to Seunghyun. Though, he was more worried about not seeing the demon again.

The female dragon let out a soft giggle, surprising both her husband and her son.

"What's so funny?!" Jiyong asked, his voice now shaky. "I can't return his clothes now... I... I promised to take them back..."He whispered, sniffing.

"Sweetie, I have his number in my phone. You called me, remember?"She asked, a twinkling laugh leaving her lips. Jiyong's eyes brightened the moment he heard it.

"Mom, I love you!"he screamed, tackling his mother in a hug. The woman laughed, remembering the times when she had similar problems, and her mom 'helped' her the same way. Oh, how she missed her mother... She decided to call her once Jiyong had settled into their home although she had a feeling that the boy wasn't going to spend much time there.

Normally, she would have been worried that her son that had been 'left' by his mate had maybe obviously found his real mate. But it was obvious that Seunghyun already loved Jiyong, maybe more than his own life. She knew true love when she saw it.

Still, she couldn't help but regret letting her baby go with that vampire. And for always falling for his lies. She should have known that something was wrong. Of course, to dragons seven years was nothing, but the excuses of Jiyong never being at home, or for the 'couple' almost traveling should have still made her realize that something was off.

But every time, she believed the obviously fake cheerful voice of the vampire. Still... At least finally Jiyong was back, safe and sound.

And grinning widely as he was looking for his mother's phone, wanting to call Seunghyun about giving returning the clothes despite the fact that he was still wearing them.
