After some of the readers inside helped L to remove the shelf, he kept on holding his back which is making you feel so guilty again. For you, since you met, you feel like you’re just always making trouble and the worst part is, L is always getting hurt.
The two of you already left the bookstore since L said that he’s alright. Even though L is not complaining, you know that he’s in pain. You warily looked at him and stopped him from walking. “Sit there at the bench first. I’ll buy some patches.” You immediately left without hearing his yes or no.
He sighed at your stubbornness and rotated his right arm. “Aish, is that girl accident magnet?” he closed an eye when he felt a prick of pain on his right shoulder and back. L looked up and saw the sky. The clouds looks so nice and he can’t help but to smile.
You came bring a pack of menthol patches. “Here, put this on your back.” He handed it to him. “Are you sure you don’t want to go at a hospital? It’s much better if you let them check your back.” You worriedly suggested and he could sound how guilty and worried you are.
“I’m fine. Just put this on my back.” He bit the end of the pack and ripped it open with his teeth. He gave you one patch.
It’s a good thing that there aren’t much people at that place and time.
