“I wanna sit with Yoonae~” Sehun whined for the tenth time.

“No.” I sighed as the two maknaes of EXO-K argued with each other. Jongin and I were sitting together on the plane. It was all fine until Sehun started complaining.

“Just because she’s your girlfriend doesn’t mean you can hog her!” Sehun cried.

Wait a sec...

“I’m not his girlfriend!”

Thanks to Chanyeol two weeks ago, all the members of EXO-K believed that Jongin and I were officially going out which was not the case.

Jongin took my hand. “Come on honey, no need to be shy, everyone knows already.”

I groaned and facepalmed myself. Suho hushed us from across the aisle before unsuccessfully scolding Sehun for him to go back to his seat. Jongin only grinned as we waited for their manager to return.

“Sehun, what are you doing? Take your seat!” Jongin and I immediately jumped apart at the sound of their manager’s voice. Both us snickered as Sehun pouted and returned to his seat.

We were off to Thailand to meet with EXO-M and promote the group and the album. I couldn’t help but be excited because not only was it my first time in Thailand, I was able to see the members of EXO-M again.

Sure, I didn’t necessarily want to confront Luhan after our break up, but I did miss him and wanted to see him. Besides, there was one thing that I wanted to prove to myself, that I’m wholeheartedly ready to accept Jongin.

Jongin and I slept through a majority of the flight. Flying business class was so relaxing, we didn’t really have to worry about fans or anything.

When I woke up, I had my head laying on his shoulder. Slowly, I tried readjusted our positions so that I could get up without waking him up. Unfortunately, I didn’t get very far before Jongin came about, blinking sleepily.

“Where are you going?” He asked me.

“Well...I was planning to go talk to Baekhyun-oppa.” He frowned and pulled me into my seat again before snuggling next to me.

“Stay here.” He mumbled, closing his eyes again. And just like that, I found myself falling back asleep until we landed.

When we got dropped off at the hotel, EXO-M had already arrived and had been waiting for us. We barely had time to greet each other though before we were sent to drop off our bags and head to some kind of interview.

Throughout the ride there and back, I found myself catching up with the EXO-M members. Jongin didn’t seem too pleased about it but I shrugged it off, he had to get over it. During dinner, I took my seat beside Chen around the table, Jongin immediately ran over and sat down on my other side.

I turned to him expectantly. “Yes Jongin?”

He shrugged. “What? I didn’t say anything, carry on with your conversation.”

I shook my head at his childish and obvious jealous behaviour before returning to my conversation with Chen.

“So how’s your Chinese been coming along?” I asked him. He grinned.

“Luhan-hyung said it’s been getting better.”

I pouted, “You’re lucky. I’m practically failing my Chinese class in University.”

“Well if you want, you can ask the other members to teach you....” As Chen continued talking, I felt a hand sneak up my thigh and take my hand. I mentally sighed exasperatedly. Jongin, must you be so childish?

Throughout the entire dinner, Jongin and I held hands under the table which no one (thankfully) noticed. At the end of dinner, Kris, Lay and Xiumin approached me asking if I wanted to join the rest of EXO-M for touring around our hotel.

Smiling excitedly, I bid Jongin good-bye and followed the other members out.

We were looking at some of the sidewalk shopping stuff when suddenly Tao pointed up at one of the buildings with a giant monitor on the outside.

“Look! It’s Super Junior sunbae-nim!” I stared in awe as Super Junior’s Mr. Simple MV played on the screen.

“Yoonae, are you gonna go?” Lay called to me. I shook my head.

“I wanna watch!”

Luhan sighed beside him. “She’s such a fan.” I couldn’t help but grin. Why protest when it’s the obvious truth?

“Omo~ It’s so crowded here.” Tao complained as we tried to break through the crowd afterwards. The area for the night market was filled with people. Venders, locals and tourists.

As we stumbled through the crowd, I accidentally tripped over someone’s foot, sending me forward. I squeaked and closed my eyes, preparing for the impact but nothing came. I felt an arm wrap around my waist from behind, keeping me from planting directly to the ground.

“You alright?” Luhan asked worriedly. I flushed a bit at his closeness but nodded before gaining my own balance again.

“Here, take my hand.” I obediently entwined my fingers in his as we began to walk side by side again.

The two of us were left at the back of the group while the others looked around enthusiastically. Even after we were a huge distance away from the crowd, we didn’t let go of each other’s hand and continued walking.

“So...I see you and Jongin have gotten closer.” He pointed out casually.

“Yeah...”

“So are you two like dating now or something?”

“I...we....” I paused, trying to figure out the right words to say. “Kind of?”

He chuckled. “What do you mean?”

“I mean....we kind of are....but we’re not official yet.”

“Seems pretty official to me. He’s so attached to you.” He looked at me. “What’s wrong? You don’t like him?”

“I-It’s not that.” I stuttered. “I’m just having a hard time....you know....after....”

My sentence drifted off into an awkward silence. Why did he even have to bring up Jongin? It was going so well, I wasn’t even thinking about our complicated situation until he brought it up.

“So...you’re still single then right?”

‘Duh, what do you think? Have you not been listening to me the past 5 minutes?’ I thought to myself, but I refrained and only answered with a soft “I guess.”

He didn’t say anything afterwards, in fact, even if he wanted to, he didn’t get a chance to.

“Awwwww Luhan-hyung and Yoonae are so cute~” Chen cooed as he turned around and skipped up to us with a huge grin on his face.

“Are you two together again?” Now things just got even more awkward. We both shook our heads, causing Chen to pout miserably.

“Aww Chen-oppa, don’t be sad.” I looked over at Luhan who shrugged helplessly.

“How about I sleep over with you and Luhan tonight?” I suggested. Chen looked up and grinned mischievously.

“As long as you two share a bed.” He stuck out his right hand, pinky raised. “Promise?”

I sighed and hooked my pinky with his. How childish could he get? I watched as he skipped away again before turning to Luhan. He was grinning widely until he realized I was looking at him.

“What?” He asked.

I narrowed my eyes suspiciously at him. “You guys planned this didn’t you?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He replied with a very noticeable grin. Before I was even able to say something, he dragged me towards the other members who were heading back to the hotel already.

When we got back to the hall of our hotel rooms, I quietly attempted to sneak into my room after reassuring Chen that I would be back in a bit. Just as I thought I got away with it, Jongin’s voice rang out from the bed.

“Took you long enough to return.”

I gave him a nervous smile before heading to wash up. When I stepped out of the bathroom, PJs and all, I realized it was only Jongin and I.

“Where’s Kyungsoo-oppa?” I asked him as I put everything back into my luggage.

“He’s in Suho and Sehun’s room talking about some stuff.” I nodded and grabbed my room key before turning towards the door.

“Where are you going?” He asked me. I froze. So much for getting out inconspicuously.

“I-I’m going to sleep over in Chen’s room tonight.” I explained briefly before taking a step.

“Wait!” I froze again. “Doesn’t Chen share a room with Luhan?”

I turned around and jumped when I found his body inches away from mine, cornering me between the door and himself.

“You’re not allowed to go.” Upon hearing that, I ended up glaring at him.

“Who are you to tell me what I am or am not allowed to do?”

“I am your boyfriend!”

“AS IF!”

He paused for a second before taking a step back. He pointed to the door. “You want to go? Fine! Go! Run back to Luhan!”

I shoved my way past him and stormed out of the room without another look. Stupid Jongin, always so demanding. I sighed, feeling a bit guilty.

I wouldn’t blame him though. I shouldn’t be running to Luhan after we broke up already, besides, I was already somewhat committed to Jongin. I shrugged. He’ll get over it.

The next day, the boys were backstage filming for a variety show. As I was doing Jongin’s make-up, he didn’t say a word to me. Throughout the day, he didn’t even look at me. Eventually I gave up trying to get his attention and decided that I would talk to him that night instead.

Kyungsoo was inside the washroom taking a shower that night, leaving Jongin and I conveniently alone. I climbed onto the bed beside Jongin and snuggled closer to him as he flipped through channels on the TV.

He didn’t even give me one look. I reached up and pecked him on the cheek. He still continued to ignore me. I sighed and sat back, pouting.

“Why are you ignoring me?”

He sighed. “I don’t want to talk about it right now.”

I frowned. “Jongin...I’m sorry about yesterday. Look, I’m here tonight right? I won’t run off again.”

“That’s not it.”

“Then what is? Why are you ignoring me?”

He shook his head. “Forget it.”

“Jongin stop being so childish and just tell me.”

He sat up, glaring at me. “I’m being childish?” He scoffed. “How am I the one being childish?”

“You’re acting up for no reason!”

“No reason?! The whole day yesterday you were allll over Chen and Luhan. You didn’t even pay attention to me when I was sitting next to you. Didn’t you notice? Ever since you saw the M members, it’s like I completely disappeared from your life. I even thought that we could have some time alone last night so I didn’t complain, but no, in the end, you ran away to Luhan anyways!”

“Oh please, why are you overreacting Jongin?” I mumbled. “Look I’m sorry alright? I’m sorry that I was trying to catch up with my friends and I couldn’t pay attention to you. I’m sorry for making you jealous.”

“You don’t get it do you?” He snapped.

“No! No I don’t Jongin!” I yelled, completely frustrated. “I don’t get why you don’t just let me hang out with my friends who I haven’t seen in almost a month. I don’t get why you’re so jealous when there’s nothing to be jealous over! Why don’t you tell me Jongin? Because obviously I DON’T GET IT!”

He looked away from me and let out a frustrated sigh. “You know what Yoonae? Just stop. I don’t want to talk to you right now.”

I felt a little stab at my heart when he said that. Tears began to spring from my eyes again. “Fine, then I’m leaving.”

I got up, and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind me. As soon as I was hidden behind the door, I sat down and began crying into my arms and knees.

Not long after, I heard one of the doors open and a presence joining me.

“Shhh, it’s alright.” I looked up briefly at the unexpected figure before burying my head into his shoulder.

“Kris...” I cracked softly. He hushed me and held me closer to him, my hair gently.

“I heard it all. You don’t need to explain.”

“I’m scared.” I told him, sobbing all over again. “What if he doesn’t want to see me anymore?”

“Don’t be silly.” He whispered soothingly. “Everything will be fine.”

For once, I was thankful for his sudden change in personality. He held me until I finished crying.

“Come.” He picked me up. “You can sleep in my room for tonight.”

I nodded, looking briefly behind me as he carried me off. My heart continued to throb in pain as realization hit me.

I guess he’s really not coming after me this time.
