“So....” Kai turned to me as we sat awkwardly on the couch beside each other. All the others were in one of the bedrooms talking about who knows what, even my best friend was allowed to tag along.

“How did you and Luhan meet?” I asked him casually, hoping to ease the tense atmosphere around us.

There was a long pause before he answered. “Through some friends at the University he was at.”

I nodded and continued to swing my legs back and forth. The awkward feeling still hung in the air. Oh well, I tried.

Just when I thought the conversation was completely dead, he spoke. “What about you two? How did you and Luhan-hyung meet?”

“At a pharmacy.” I looked up at him and jumped when I saw him already staring back at me. “We...we went out for coffee afterwards and exchanged numbers.”

“And today was the second time you guys saw each other?” He asked.

“So what?”

“Nothing.” He said, “I was just wondering.”

I nodded. Silence took over for a while as we waited for the others to return. After a few more awkward minutes, I looked up at him for a bit and took a glimpse at his face. I had to admit, he wasn’t horrible looking...in fact, he did look quite a bit like SHINee’s Taemin-with obvious differences of course.

“Say, Kai-shii, you know SHINee’s Taemin right?” I asked.

“What do you want from my best friend?” He looked at me suspiciously. Bestfriend? I immediately grinned at the sound of that. His eyes widened in realization. “No. No way in hell am I going to-”

“INTRODUCE ME TO HIM!” I exclaimed. “Please please please, pretty please?”

“And why should I do that for you?” He challenged.

“Because...you’re the bestest idol star ever?” I grinned innocently. He rolled his eyes at my comment.

“I am.” He agreed. I rolled my eyes, dumb arrogant idiot. “But no, it’s okay.”

I glared at him while he smirked at me.

“Arrogant bastard.” I mumbled. Just then the door opened and several footsteps entered the living room.

“Yoonae~” I watched as my Ji Eun ran over to me and pulled me off the couch. “Come! I’ll introduce you to the others.”

I turned to face everyone in the room. Luhan made his way over to my side as Ji Eun hopped up and down excitedly. She kept rambling on about a few names here and there but in the end, there were so many of them, I missed half of what she was saying.

I looked over at Luhan in confusion and he laughed. “Guys, why don’t you introduce yourselves, it should be easier that way.”

The first one to step up was the scary guy from earlier. “Hi, my name is Kris. I’m the leader of EXO-M. Sorry about earlier....I didn’t think that Luhan would bring his girlfriend over. So...yeah.”

I nodded, still scarred by the incident.

“Hi! My name is Baekhyun! Nice to meet you!” I looked over to see an overly cheerful guy waving to me. Slowly I waved back. It was hard adjusting to the sudden change in personality.

“Hyung stop it you’re scaring her.” A very familiar deep voice scolded. I looked beside him and saw Chanyeol with his usual happy-go-lucky smile on. I sighed in relief seeing the familiar face and smiled at him.

The rest of them introduced themselves in turn. Suho, Sehun, Lay, Tao, D.O, Chen and Xiu Min.

“That’s weird....” I said mainly to myself, all eyes turned to me. “I thought there were twelve of you.”

I counted and recounted the faces in front of me. It was times like these where I really wished that I had learned about the group better.

“Who’s missing?” I asked. The group looked at each other and once again shared a silent message that I didn’t understand.

“He’s out with the managers right now.” I turned to the voice behind me. Kai smiled. “I think he said he had to visit home before we debuted, otherwise we won’t have time later.”

He looked around afterwards. “But anyways, when are we having dinner? I’m starving.”
