“Yoonae...Yoonae...” I squirmed slightly at the sound of my name but I refused to open my eyes, I was too comfortable sleeping.

“Jeez, is this girl ever going to wake up?” I flinched at the sound of a deeper voice around me.

“I don’t know...maybe you guys should go home first, I can drive her later.” I smiled slightly, loving the way the softer voice soothed me.

“Just wake her up won’t you?” Ji Eun’s oh-so-familiar voice called out, disturbing my sleep even further. “I still can’t believe you two just spent your time napping here.”

I sighed and gave up on trying to go back to sleep. There was no use since Ji Eun and Kai had joined us. Slowly, I opened my eyes to adjust to the light around me. We were still on the same bench that Luhan and I had spent our afternoon on except somehow, I found myself laying with my head on Luhan’s lap.

I looked up at him, he smiled down at me.

“Ready to go?” He asked me. “We’re planning to go on a few more rides before heading out for dinner.”

I stood up and nodded enthusiastically, pulling him along with me.

“So childish!” I heard Ji Eun called as she and Kai followed behind us. I turned around and stuck my tongue out at her, grinning as she rolled her eyes afterwards.

“Be happy I invited you.” I said jokingly.

“Well if I hadn’t, Kai-oppa would be a third wheel all day.” Ji Eun replied. I raised an eyebrow.

“‘Oppa?’” I quoted. “You two sure are close.”

From the corner of my eye I saw Kai smirk. I glared at him. He scowled at me.

“Well I am somewhat of a fan.”

This time, it wasn’t me who reacted. “Somewhat?!” Kai exclaimed, insulted by the casual phrase.

“She’s a Chanyeol and Kris fan.” I replied grinning amusedly at his reaction.

“Well, I am more of a fan than you are.” Ji Eun said in defense. I chuckled at the way she said it.

“That’s not hard at all.” I said. “I don’t like this kid at all remember?”

“Excuse me? Kid?” Kai glared at me. I smiled smugly at him.

“Why not? It fits your personality. Narcissistic freak. You and your prince syndrome.”

“You’re just a hater.” He replied. “A blind hater, who absolutely does not know the meaning of beauty.”

“At least I know the meaning of ugly. Look! It’s standing right in front of me.”

“‘It’! You did not just call me ‘it’ and ‘ugly.’”

“And you’re deaf too? Wow, I wonder how you ever got into SM.”

He opened his mouth to retort again but another voice stopped both of us.

“Guys, you’re attracting too much attention.” Luhan said, he squeezed my hand slightly and I looked up to see his pleading expression. I looked around us and it was true, many people were looking at us. That’s when I remembered, despite my lack of tolerance for the guy, he was famous. If fangirls or paparazzi found us, this outing would be over within a second.

Immediately, Kai lowered his head and Luhan dragged me to the nearest attraction. Somehow, we had managed to find ourselves standing in line for the swan ride as we were busy avoiding everyone else.

It would work as long as no one was able to see Kai’s face. Luckily, we got away from the crowd before anyone was able to recognize him.

“Wow. Luhan, did you purposely lead us here?” Kai asked in suspicion. He eyed the two of us. “If you wanted alone time, you could have just said so.”
“T-That’s not...” Luhan drifted off mid-sentence. I giggled when I saw a light shade of pink tinting his cheeks.

“Since we’re here, you two just go. Kai and I will just go grab some drinks and wait for you two.” Ji Eun said as she winked at us. It was times like these I was actually thankful for my best friend.

“Y-You wanna go?” Luhan asked me. Kai rolled his eyes and shoved us towards the ride before I was even able to answer him.

“Just go already.” He said. Luhan smiled and held his hand out for me to take. The line wasn’t long and when we got there, he helped me board the boat before getting in himself.

We sat in silence for the beginning of the ride as we simply enjoyed the scenery around us. The lake was actually considerably big and the ride was longer than I expected.

“So...have you been enjoying today?” He asked me, coughing a bit to ease the tension. It was still a bit awkward though.

“I guess. I had a good nap and this is quite relaxing.” He opened his mouth and it looked like he was about to apologize so I stopped him. “But really, I was happy just being here with you. Besides, you’re expression on the ride earlier was priceless.”

His face turned red instantly and I couldn’t help but laugh at him. I hugged his arm and smiled.

“Thank you.” I said. “Really, it was an amazing day.”

“C-Can I make it more amazing?” He asked. My head was on his shoulder when he turned to face me, his face inches away from mine. It was my turn to blush at his closeness.

“H-how?” I asked almost inaudibly. I was stunned by his eyes boring into mine.

Slowly, he leaned in and just barely, our lips brushed together. My breath hitched, my heart sped up to the point where I thought it was going to explode at any given time. I stared into his eyes in wonder and slowly, I began to trust him. I closed my eyes and not a second later, his lips pressed fully, but gently against mine.

I was so, so scared of the overwhelming feeling inside of me but at the same time, he made me feel so secure. When we finally parted, I had to remind myself to breathe again.

He smiled lovingly at me and I couldn’t help but smile back. “Yoonae...will you be my girlfriend?”

My heart jumped at the words that came out of his mouth. Girlfriend. He wants me to be his girlfriend. I immediately wrapped my arms around him and buried my head in his neck.

“Yes.”
