Doojoon, Shawkat and the doctor were sitting at a coffee shop right outside the hospital. Doojoon was talking on the phone to their other manager, while Shawkat and the doctor sat silently.

“I’ve just explained everything to our manager. Our flight is tonight, and what to make of this situation will be decided after we get back.” Doojoon explained as he hung up her phone.

After translating what Doojoon said, the doctor continued, “She can’t fly in her current situation. She needs at least a week of recovery.”

“Don’t worry, I’m in Japan for a month, so I’ll stay with her.” Shawkat answered before turning his gaze towards Doojoon. “I don’t think there should be anything left to say after all that has happened.”

Doojoon nodded (the doctor translating as soon as one finishes talking), “You are right. Last night I was thinking that I would be able to convince you to let your sister be in this relationship... however, if I were in your shoes, I would never let her stay with him for even a moment longer if he keeps hurting her like that. Even unintentionally.”

Shawkat scoffed in response, “So if you know how I feel, why are you stopping me from doing exactly what you would do?”

“I’m not stopping you anymore.” Doojoon said, surprising everyone. “Although I am not her real brother, and I’ve only known her for a few months, I have grown to love her as my own little sister. And in a weird way, I’m the least dependent on her. As you saw the other boys treat her like a mother because of the care she has shown them. They don’t see their parents often anyways, so if Nayoung leaves on top of that, they will be left very lonely.”

Shawkat furrowed his eyebrows, “What are you trying to get at?”

“Nothing” Doojoon calmly stated. “I just want you to understand your sister’s role in our lives. We all love her very much, thus it’ll be hard to see her go. But if it’s for her happiness and safety, I assure you that every single member of B2ST will do everything in their capabilities.” Doojoon looked down at his hands and started picking at his nails, “It’s a little bit funny, how Yoseob and Nayoung got together. Yoseob was really lonely at that time, quite broken. While none of us could do anything for him, your sister was there, taking care of him. She saw him broke down, but prevented him from completely breaking down. She picked up the pieces and put him back together, gave us our old Yoseob back.”

“My sister’s great, I get it-” Shawkat said impatiently, but Doojoon continued.

“But she was broken too. The other boys didn’t notice it, but Yoseob did. Every minute she spent with us, she gave it up for someone else, be it cooking for us, studying for her parents, or even hiding her love for Yoseob for her mother.” He looked up to directly gaze into a stunned Shawkat’s eyes. “She really did try to run away from her feelings, Heck she even convinced Yoseob he wasn’t in love with her. And she would have succeeded if it wasn’t for Sapphy-shi, I’m assuming you know her.”

Shawkat nodded at that comment prompting Doojoon to continue. “You see, family was always her first priority. Always remembering to call her mother no matter how busy she was,always attending classes and studying no matter how many hours of sleep she lost, always being careful not to fall in love. In the beginning, she truly was a fangirl that just wanted to be around us, for once for her own sake, but as fate would have the two instantly connected. Even before they knew it they became each others source of happiness. But it seems like being together is what is making them the most miserable. Yoseob has already caused Nayoung a lot of pain, and it truly killed an innocent part of him. Nayoung was slowly healing that too and Yoseob was doing his best so that the media and the fans would warm up to her, their relationship... But after last night I don’t know. Nayoung would have still been happy, even after her physical struggle, if you hadn’t come back to remind her of her duties. Now until you and your family truly accept this relationship, she’ll always be hurt. And we both know possibility of that happening is close to zero. So take her away, that’s the only solution for both of them. Although they won’t be happy, at leas they won’t be hurt from hurting the ones they love.”

Silence fell upon the three as Shawkat sat there and took everything in that Doojoon had just said. Deep inside he knew these facts, but was surprised that Doojoon was able to read his sister this well. He still didn’t trust Yoseob, but if Doojoon stayed around the two, then maybe.... just maybe....

Shawkat suddenly noticed that someone had ordered coffee for them, as Doojoon and the doctor sat there sipping their coffee while his had gone cold. He looked into Doojoon;s eyes and dryly said, “You’re good.”

Doojoon smirked, “I never did say that the possibility was zero.”

“However, this will require a lot of work, on our behalf,” He added before he continued.”

“As long as those two are happy.” Doojoon replied as the three got into a serious discussion.

Nayoung’s eyes slowly fluttered open as her brother was dragged out. “What...?” She mumbled. She felt a weird restriction around her waist. She clumsily patted her stomach while Yoseob suddenly called out her name, holding her other hand.

“Weirdo?” He whispered.

“The hell is this on my stomach?” She mumbled, momentarily forgetting the events of the previous night.

Yoseob slightly chuckled before answering. “You broke your ribs again. Since you move too much they put you in a cast. Your ankle seems to be bandaged as well....”

The memories suddenly started flooding back to her mind, and she went silent.

“Yoseob...” She called out his real name, surprising Yoseob. However, the surprise didn’t last long as he knew what she was going to say.

“I know.” He answered, a sad smile appearing on his face as he held her hand tighter.

She finally looked at him, both knowing where this conversation was headed.

“My brother, my family... They are really important to me.” She said as a tear rolled down her face.

“I know” He nodded again, putting his left hand on her cheek to wipe her tears as his other hand still held onto her hand.

“They’ll never....” She started but couldn’t finish.

“Ssh, I know. Any brother would take his sister away from the person that hurt them.” He said softly, tears were now running down his cheeks.

“But you’ve never hurt me...” She pleaded, but to no avail.

“But I have. Every time you have been hurt I was the cause of it. Even on your birthday...” He turned away to swallow his tears, then turned back to look at her to continue. “And we both know Sasha’s not the only one and we haven’t even dealt with her yet.” He sighed deeply, “But we both come to the same conclusion, we can’t.”

Tears were now steadily flowing down Nayoung’s cheek as she realized this was truly the end. It was hard letting go after she had only just been honest with her feelings and had grabbed onto him. But it was something she must do, for the happiness of the people she loved depended on it. Even Yoseob’s happiness, as she knew their relationship will definitely hinder his much beloved career.

“But remember this,” Yoseob suddenly spoke up. “No matter what people say, no matter what happens, no matter what I may end up doing, always remember this, I love you. I’ve loved you from the day we met and I will love you until I die. No one and nothing can change that fact.”

She smiled up at him, but there was no happiness in that smile as his words tore her heart apart. “And I will always love you, no matter what.” She whispered as they held each others hands, silently crying.
