KRYSTAL’s POV

When I got back home, I saw Amber in the living room. I thought he is already asleep at this hour but it surprisingly he is still awake. He is in his deep thoughts that he even hadn’t notice my presence. This is the first time I saw him with a serious expression and is thinking deeply. I decided to just go upstairs and I think the sound of my footsteps in the staircase caught his attention.

“Hey! We need to talk!” He called me with his annoyed voice.

“What do we need to talk about?” I answered him in the same manner as I turn around to looked at him.

“My parents came here earlier and your parents will arrive tomorrow.” He informed me which made me widened my eyes.

I quickly walk over to him and sat down on the living chair. Nobody informed me about it. We should really discuss about it.

“You don’t know what I had been through earlier.”he spoke to me and I just rolled my eyes.

“So what will be our plan now?” I questioned him since he is the one who got a lot of ideas about what we should do.

“First, we will meet your parents at the airport. They move our engagement party next weekend so you better stay inside the house as often as you can.” He informed.

“Why did they do that?” I whined annoyingly and lean back on my seat. “Aish!”

“I can relate to what you are feeling right now. Well, we have to do what we needed to do. Act like we are a normal couple.” He stated and I let out a deep sigh. I need more preparation to hone my skills in doing that with him.

“We will just act that we enjoy each other’s company, no more no less.” I stated and sighed.

“I agreed on that and your ring, don’t forget to wear it always.” He reminded me again.

“I know that! You don’t have to remind me again and again.”I said to him as I rolled my eyes.

“And we need to exchange numbers.”He said timidly.

“Why do we need to do that?” I questioned him with raised brows.

“So that we can contact each other if our parents will look for either of us.” He retorted.

“Aish! I never gave my number to just somebody else!”I mumbled annoyingly but I just give him my number. I don’t think I still have any other choice.

He called my number and I saved his. It will be a lot harder for me from now because I know that our parents will surely be watching us. I got up on my chair and head upstairs to relax myself from stress.

AMBER’s POV

Since I got her number, I have nothing to worry about. I am still bothered who is this Soojung person. The next day, we head to the airport to meet her parents with a girl. I think she is Krystal’s sister. I greeted them politely and then drove them into their house.

“I’m glad that you two got close.”Mrs. Jung said to us happily. I and Krystal glance awkwardly at each other with an awkward smile on our faces.

“We will get married soon Umma so it is expected for us to get close.” Krystal answered her.

“Do you want to get married this year?” Mr. Jung asked us.

“Well…uhm…it’s up to your daughter.” I answered. I don’t want to answer that question.

“I want to get married after I graduate college, Appa.” Krystal told her dad.

“I didn’t expect that my younger sister will get married ahead of me.”Her sister sighed which cause her parents to laugh and her sister. If only she knows that we envy her.

I drove them into their big house and honestly, it looks familiar to me. We park in front of it and then we step outside the car. I roamed my eyes around and I can remember fragment of memories coming back to me. A memory that I was running in their lawn, playing tag with a girl.

“What are you standing there, stupid?” Krystal told me which snapped me out my thoughts.

I turn my head to her and saw that her family had already gone inside. I give her a fake smile and head inside. Their house is really beautiful inside. It’s spotless and had a relaxing atmosphere. I roam my eyes around, scanning every corner of the room because I feel like I had been here before.

“Honey, why don’t you tour Amber around while we are waiting for his family to arrive?” Mr. Jung said to her and I can tell in Krystal’s reaction that she doesn’t want to do it.

“Uhm, if it’s okay with you can I look around just by myself? I know Krystal want to spend time with you guys.” I said to them with a timid smile.

“Okay then. It’s your home too anyway.” Mr. Jung replied.

I excused myself to them and I start looking around. It’s weird because I know where I am going. I ended up standing in this one room. I don’t know why because I’m sure for myself that it is not a bedroom.

“Do you want to go inside, Sir?” a maid asked me which startled me.

“Uhm, can I?” I questioned.

“Of course.” She answered with a smile.

I grab the knob and slowly open the door. I raised my brows when I realized that it is just a play room. I and my sister’s playroom had been turn into a music room when we grow up. I can’t believe that the Jung’s keep it.

“Do they have a younger sibling?” I questioned the maid when I turn my head to her.

“No Sir.” She replied me shortly and it made me furrowed my brows.

I just shrugged my shoulder and head inside. I roam my gaze around and a lot of memories flashes in my head. This little girl kept on appearing in my head and I don’t know who she is. I cupped my head, then a big chest draws my attention. I walk over to it and open it to see what’s inside. There are lots of toys and I think costumes. I raised my brows when I noticed this one little box.

“Y and S.” I mumbled the inscription on top of it.

I opened it and there are folded papers inside. I take it out and at the bottom, I saw a picture of two kids which made me widened my eyes and finally recognized the little girl in my memory.

"How could I forgot about her?" I mumbled to myself and chuckled. " Oh yeah, it's because of that."
