AMBER’s POV

Well, she did enjoy the movie. I think she forgot that I’m with her because she focused her attention on the screen. I scoffed every time she changed her facial expression. I just looked at her from the corner of my eyes. I feel glad that somehow she enjoyed our ‘date’. Days pass and it is our engagement party.

“Hey! Hurry up! They are already waiting for us in the hotel.” I said to her as I knocked on her door.

“Yah! Will you just shut up and wait downstairs?!” she yelled from inside.

I rolled my eyes and head downstairs. I don’t know what’s taking her long. She doesn’t have to exert an effort to beautify herself because she is already physically pleasing. I waited for her for almost half an hour before she finally come downstairs. I was fascinated on how beautiful she is. I quickly averted my gaze when I gather back my senses that I almost lost by looking at her.

“Let’s go!” she said with her bossy tone.

While we are on our way to the hotel for our engagement party, I notice that Krystal keeps on fidgeting on her phone. I am not sure if she invited some of her friends but I am not expecting that she did. She curved a smile before she put away her phone and I pretended not to see it. When we arrived in the hotel and we head straight to the elevator. I let her cling in my arm before we enter the function hall where our engagement party is being held. All the people inside looked at us and then clap their hands. I flashed a smile and Krystal did too as we bow our heads to them. We sat down on the table in the front facing everyone. I pulled Krystal chair for her and then we take our seats.

“I didn’t expect that our parents invited so many people.” I mumbled. “I didn’t know most of them.”

“You haven’t invited your friends too?” she asked me.

“Only Ailee.” I answered her while scanning the crowd.

“Who’s Ailee?”she questioned which made me turn to her. She is just sitting beside me.

“Jackie’s friend here.”I answered her.

The host starts the program. Everyone congratulated us and we give thanks to them. Unexpectedly, one of the hosts said something which got me confused.

“Let’s hear our future groom’s dedicated song to his future wife.” She remarked and I am not prepared for this. I don’t even have a song for her.

I just got up on my seat because everyone is clapping their hands. I know who’s behind this. It’s either Dad or my evil sister Jackie. Mom is not my suspect because she’s the angel in our family. I look at my sister who is sitting on the table across us and I saw a smirk on her face. Dad has a suspicious smile on his face too.

“I got nothing to do with this.” I said to Krystal before I walk in the front into the mic.

One host gave me a guitar and I think either of my suspects really wants me to expose my hidden talent. Well, I’m thankful that they ambush me into something I’m good at. I face Krystal after I started to strum the guitar. I choose a song that she can’t understand. I sang the song Ai Zai Mei Yi Miao by Hit5.

KRYSTAL’s POV

I honestly got surprise when the host announced that Amber had prepared a song for me. But when he informed me that he got nothing to do with it, I knew right there and then that it’s his Dad who’s behind it. He starts to strum the guitar and he can really play it well. He turns to face me and I just watch him, somehow excited on what song he is going to sing. I only got frustrated when I he sang a Chinese Song and obviously, I can’t understand it. The only phrase that I understand is ‘I love you Forever’. Even if I can’t understand the whole lyrics, I find the song pleasant in my ears. All people which I think who can understand Chinese cheered and clap their hands after he sang.

“I hope your future bride understand the message of your song, Mr. Liu.” The host told him.

“It’s the perfect song for her.” He replied and flashed a smile.

“Do you understand it, Krystal-shii?”the other host asked me.

“Uhm, no.” I answered with an apologetic smile. There is no point to lie here, I’m a pure Korean and the only language I know is Korean and English.

“Well, I have another song for her and I’m sure she will understand this one.” Amber spoke.

The two hosts went to the side and it made me wonder if Amber doesn’t get tired of singing a song. I know those song that he sing are just a song that he randomly picked in his head. They are really not meant for me. I decided to divert my attention to my surroundings and when I heard what he sing, I turn my head back to him.

He looked straight into my eyes and I see there is something in it. He finished strumming his guitar. He curved a smile to everybody and everyone like his performance too. The host announced that our program ended and we both let out a sigh in relief. I was about to talk to him but he got up on his chair. I followed my eyes as he approached this one girl which I assume is Ailee. He hugged her tight and it made me wonder if they are just really friends.

“Your rival had finally appeared.” Unnie spoke when she took Amber’s seat.

“Huh?” I questioned her dumbfounded.

“She fancied your Yiyun before, remember?” Unnie told me which got me more confused. “Don’t tell me that you don’t recognize her?” she continued when I furrowed my brows.

“I really don’t.”I answered her. I don’t know what she’s talking about.

“Oh my God! If you forgot about Ailee, it means you don’t know who is Yiyun too.” She remarked looking shocked.

“Obviously.”I replied to her.

“That guy who is standing over there is Yiyun, he is the boy you always play with when you were little. The one whom you always beat in running.” She stated and scoffed. "I thought you knew that Amber is Yiyun."she added
