“Hey Jiyong noona,” Yoohwan called to Jiyong when he saw her for the filming, “how was the date?”

“Alright I suppose,” Jiyong said flicking through the script, “I guess we have to thank you for setting us up.”

“Oh yeah did you mind?” Yoohwan looked at his feet, “I thought it would help my hyung.”

“And I’m sure you did,” Not sure about myself though Jiyong thought.

“My hyung said that he had a good time. What about you?”

“Umm….” Jiyong wasn’t sure what to say, “I suppose it was alright.”

“It was just alright?” Yoohwan looked at her hoping for more, “are you sure?”

“It’s been a while since I dated so yes,” Jiyong added hoping it would throw him off.

“Yoohwan-sshi it’s time for your scene,” Hanbyul told their hoobae as she walked over to them.

“Thanks Hanbyul-sshi,” Yoohwan hurried off. Hanbyul chuckled.

“He’s a sweet boy isn’t he?”

“I guess,” Jiyong replied going through her lines one more time.

“Oh yeah how did your date go the other day?”

“Fine,” Jiyong put her script down.

“So who was your date?”

“Park Yoochun…..” Jiyong said it softly so the other crew didn’t hear.

“Who Jiyong-sshi? I can’t quite hear what you’re saying.”

“Park Yoochun-sshi,” she said it louder this time.

“Omo it was Park Yoochun?” Hanbyul nearly yelled that out. Jiyong flinched, imagining the pairs of eyes already on her.

“Yes,” Jiyong said meekly.

“Wow, so… Did you like him?” That caught Jiyong off guard.

“Umm, I don’t know.” Jiyong thought for a moment, “He was very nice.”

“And nothing else?”

“Umm sweet?”

“That’s very adorable,” Hanbyul said a smile on her face, “why don’t you call him again?”

“I don’t have his number.”

“Oh well then I guess Yoohwan-sshi can give it to you,” Hanbyul suggested. “I need to get ready for our next scene. Can’t believe we are up to episode eight already.”

“Me neither,” Jiyong said.

“Alright speak to you later,” Hanbyul left Jiyong to think about what happened.

By the end of that week they had finished episode eight and now were not needed until the Tuesday the week after. Then there was a pep rally for when the show would start airing.  Jiyong looked at the calendar. It was now one week since she’d spoken to Yoochun. Why was she even keeping track of that? She called her mum.

“So you like him, why not call him back?”

“I don’t know eomma,” Jiyong began, “it’s kind of….”

“Is he gay?”

“What? No he is not…. I don’t think he is.”

“So you aren’t sure?”

“Yes, I’m not sure.”

“Not sure about just his preference or about him in general?” Both Jiyong wanted to say but she changed her mind.

“It is about him in general.”

“Does he earn a lot of money?” Jiyong held the phone away from her ear so she could audibly sigh.

“He does have a stable income if that’s what you’re asking.”

“Then call him again,” her mum insisted, “sounds like he would be a lot better for you than that irresponsible Doohoo.” Jiyong cringed.

“I don’t see him anymore so there is no problem.”

“Only that he hasn’t paid you back.” Her mum counteracted, “you must make the first move if necessary.”

“I have to go, goodnight eomma.”

“Goodnight my Jiyong-ee,” there was a beeping sound and Jiyong hung up.
