It was a bright and sunny afternoon. The weather is perfect for a spring themed garden wedding on the spacious yard. Trees on each side were in full bloom, trimmed green grass paved the aisle, and flower beds blossomed in rich colors. The fence became the main entrance, while the foot of porch became the altar.

A few chairs enough for the entire household and Shin were stationed on each side, separated by flower stands handmade by Chen and Youngjae.

It was Exo-M and BAP who prepared the venue, leaving Exo-K with the food for the reception.

Kris and Luhan rushed to the city to buy the nicest suit and rings they could ever find, while you and Suho personally asked an old priest who lived two doors down to officiate the ceremony. He has known your grandparents so it was easy to convince him. Yongguk was tasked to give the kids a shower and change them.

You ran back home to help your sister get dressed. You dug through your closet, grabbed an ivory one shoulder gown that draped to the floor which you got from your mother and also wore on your wedding.

“It’s perfect on you, Seri…” you said.

She stood in front of a tall mirror, shifting from side to side. “I am a Hwang after all…”

“Now take a seat so I can put this on…” you took the veil that came with the gown and fixed it on her neatly styled hair.

That choking feeling of anxiousness hit you. Instead of happiness, you got sick to your stomach out of extreme worry for your one and only sister. She’s getting married at a young age, to a man whose future seemed bleak.

Seri saw your reflection through the mirror, blankly staring at the back of her head. “Unnie… Gwenchana?”

“Huh???” you blinked. “Oh! Errmmm… Y-Yeah…”

“It’s okay… Tell me…” she warmly smiled.

You looked at each other’s eye and she was clearly beautiful and glowing. “Are you happy?”

“I am, unnie! I couldn’t ask for anything right now!”

“Then that’s all I need to know…” you opened both arms afterwards. “Can I get a hug?”

Seri stood and embraced you. “Thank you Sehee unnie… for everything!”

“It’s nothing… I’ll try to be best the sister for you and Sehun. Always remember that!” you rubbed her back.

Sehun came dapper in a suit and handsome as always. He stretched his longs arms and circled it around you and Seri. “Aigooo~ And I, Sehun, your brother, will protect and love the most beautiful girls in the galaxy.”

You kissed their foreheads and chose to swallow the tight feeling in your throat. “I love you, Seri… I love you Sehun…”

“I love you, unnie…” she sobbed.

“Saranghae, noona…” he whispered.

You pulled away and held Seri’s face. “Yah! Don’t cry or your makeup will be ruined….

Sehun took out his hanky and carefully wiped her face. “You’re still a cry baby don’t you know that? Aish!”

“Miahn…” Seri gasped. “If only mom and dad were here…”

“They are here…” Sehun said. “You’ll just have to feel their presence as they watch you walk down the aisle.”

You quickly looked away while your brother got busy comforting Seri. “Stop crying… Aish…”

‘Keep it together Sehee… Don’t cry…’ you blew out an air and faced them again. “How’s Tao?”

“He’s almost done…” Sehun said.

With the help of Shin, he brought along two stylists to assist the maknaes in getting Tao prepped up. They temporarily dyed his hair back to black, and applied makeup that hid his dark circles and sunk face.

They need not hide all his features since Tao radiated on his own. For whatever reason, he was like the same old maknae of Exo-M, vibrant, lively, and youthful.

“Congrats bro!” Shin patted his shoulder. “I’ll see you downstairs!”

“Thanks hyung!” he bowed his head.

When Shin and the stylist packed up, Zelo reached out a hand to him. “Ready?”

Tao firmly took it. “You know I am!”

Kai also joined hands with them. “Let’s do this!”

With hands clasped together, Tao pulled them for a warm embrace. The squeeze of the hug was so tight, there was no doubt in his mind at all that he wanted to be married. “Thank you… I wouldn’t be here without you guys… I owe you my life! Thank you so much, Kai! Komawo, Zelo-ah!”

“It’s nothing man! As long as you’re happy, then we’re all for it!” Kai said.

“Yeah… Don’t mention it, hyung!” Zelo patted his back.

They broke apart and Kai fixed Tao’s tie for the last time. “There!”

As they head out the door, Tao’s knees gave up when his sickness kept coming back.

“Woah… Easy hyung…” Zelo caught him.

‘!’ he took a deep breath. ‘Fight it Tao… Do it for Seri…’

He is in so much pain that anyone can handle but he chose to keep it all in. At that point in his life, Kai and Zelo became his source of strength, and Seri is his will to keep going.
