Epilogue: Reality.
Breaking Tradition: The Impure Woman♪♪♪ As the warm sun entered the dark sky and began to lighten and brighten up the world with its gleaming rays, the day critters and creatures of Mother Nature began to rouse as well while the beings of night returned to rest.
The birds perched in their nests, composed of dead branches and twigs, with their newborns blanketed under their wings started to chirp and sing their morning songs, telling everyone else it was time for them to wake up. On the ground, the squirrels, which had climbed out of their homes found in the barks of trees, were in search for food.
The once barren and deserted roads and highways began to get filled up with cars and people all rushing about to get where they needed to be. By the time the clock had struck eight, all of Seoul was alive and ready to take on any surprises, obstacles or blessings life had to offer. Needless to say, everyone was up, doing things that needed to be done. Whether it was cooking breakfast or taking out the trash. In short, you could expect some kind of noise coming out from every house.
Well, except for one household that is.
Shifting away from the window, Aejin buried her face into Suho’s bare chest. Unconsciously, her arm coiled around his torso, holding onto him tightly. It was as though her dear life depended on him. It was like she was hanging off the edge of a cliff and he was the rope keeping her from falling and meeting her demise. As she moved up and down according to his breathing pattern, Aejin also received the opportunity to listen to the soothing rhythm of his heartbeat drumming against her ear which always sounded like a lullaby to her.
It was perfect.
While the world outside might have been proceeding on without them, it didn’t matter. They were too busy basking in and enjoying their own little world that they had built together to care. This was how every morning was for the two of them. Well, except for the not wearing any clothes part.
Underneath her, Suho moved a little. He nuzzled closer to the woman while her alluring scent crawled into his nose. A gentle smile graced his lips and although he was coming to his senses, he didn’t want to open his eyes. Not yet. All he wanted to do was lay in bed with the love of his life tangled in his arms. However, that wish was proven to be a difficult one to achieve as he heard his phone reverberate on the nightstand. He thought that if he ignored it, it would stop but it seemed incessant.
Afraid that Aejin would wake up, Suho carefully reached out and grabbed the phone. At that precise moment, it stopped vibrating and then a text arrived. He opened it and saw that it was from his sister. She told him her family was heading out and asked if he wanted anything when they came back. Once he realized the matter wasn’t urgent, he placed his phone on silent and put it back on the nightstand.
His fingers then brushed the exposed, milky flesh of her shoulder which led him to quickly attach his lips to her temple. The events from last night replayed in his mind and he couldn’t help but blush profusely at the recollection. It wasn’t their first time, since they had been married for a little under a year now, but every time they came together and united as one (physically speaking), it always felt like the first time to Suho. That was good of course because this feeling told him his emotions for her didn’t get dull or lose heat. If anything, his love for her had only gotten stronger.
“Mhm, Joonmyun?” Her drowsy voice called out, snapping the man out of his thoughts.
“Hm?” He hummed back as he began to play with her hair, twirling and lightly tugging on the strands.
“Good morning, handsome husband of mine.” She yawned.
“Good morning to you too, beautiful wife of mine.” He smiled.
“We should get up,” she suggested.
“We should.” He agreed.
Aejin cuddled closer to him, never opening her eyes. “But I don’t want to. I want to stay like this with you.”
Suho couldn’t help but chuckle. It was crazy how they were able to share the same thoughts for a majority of the time. It was as though they had one mind. “Me too. I don’t want this to end.”
“What about Minwoo?” She questioned.
“He slept over my parents’ house, remember?” Suho reminded.
“Then let’s just stay here like this for a little longer.” Aejin sighed.
“You don’t have to ask me twice, Kim Aejin, I’m all yours. Every last bit.” He remarked sweetly.
“And I wouldn’t want to have it any other way.” She answered without reluctance. “I love you a lot. Did I already tell you that?” Next, she opened her eyes and tilted her head back to look at him.
Suho glanced down and pecked her lips. “Plenty of times already but it seems like I can never get enough. But just so we’re clear, I definitely love you more.”
The corner of Aejin’s lips curled upwards as she briefly reconnected their lips. “I don’t think so.” She protested.
“Really? Then should I prove it to you?” He challenged and before she could change her mind, Suho flipped her onto her back and tugged the blanket over both of them, concealing them from everyone and everything else in the world.
“Look at the lion! It’s so cool!” Minwoo jumped up and down, not trying to conceal his excitement at all. Why would he? They were at the zoo for crying out loud! What kid wouldn’t be overjoyed like he was? His eyes were as big and round as the full moon and he watched the animal’s every move with the utmost attention.
“Minwoo! Don’t run off like that!” Aejin chided as she reached him with Suho walking beside her.
“Relax, sweetie.” The man chuckled, placing a hand on her lower back. “Let him enjoy himself.”
“What if he gets hurt.” She whined.
“Then he will learn his lesson and won’t run next time.” Suho replied nonchalantly.
Aejin gasped and lightly hit his chest. “But I don’t want hi
