'Well... This is tense...'

Kris was trying his hardest to enlighten the atmosphere. Lay was sitting beside him in the front seat, a move made to try and attempt to make it clear to Huiling that he was going to concentrate on you from now on. She didn't take the hint.

'Yixing? I can call you that, right?'

'I'd prefer for you not to...'

'But it's your birth name. It's a lovely name'

'I think you should listen to him, Huiling' Kris said

'Why do you all use fake names?'

'Why not?'

'Isn't it a bit weird? Are you hiding or something?'

Kris tensed up and hit the air conditioning button with such force it startled Huiling.

'Huiling, you know why.' Lay snapped, 'don't try and get people to tell you things that don't concern you.'

'Sorry Yixing.'

'Can you not call me that?'

'Why?'

'I don't like it, okay? It doesn't have the nicest connotations attached to it.'

'But you were a star with that name'

'And I lost everything'

'But you didn't... Everyone still remembers you-'

'Huiling!'

Lay sank into the chair, his head in his hands.

I can't do this anymore.

Kai and D.O were talking in their room in hushed voices so that no one would hear their conversation.

'Are you still thinking about what I said last night?' D.O asked

'Shouldn't I ask you the same?'

Kai sighed as he rolled over on his bed to face the wall.

'What are you thinking so hard about?'

'About you and Haneul. About how you were caring for her earlier when she cut herself.'

'Oh'

'What are you so depressed about? You never take naps during the middle of the day, hyung'

'I was thinking about when you and Haneul went to the supermarket earlier. How that made me feel.'

Kai smirked, 'were you jealous?'

'Yeah'

'Me too'

'What are we going to do then? Are you going to confess?' Kai asked

'Are you?'

'I asked you first'

'And I'm asking you now'

'Yeah. I'm going to tell her.'

'You are?'

'Aren't you?'

D.O kept silent.

'We'll still be friends no matter what. Brothers. Family. No matter what happens, right?' Kai said

'Right'

The door burst open and Xiumin stepped in. He was wearing a bandana around his head and the apron over his clothes.

'Suho's here! Gather round kids!'

Both D.O and Kai looked at him.

'Come on!'

Kai got up and put on his slippers. D.O followed suit and Xiumin watched them with suspicious eyes.

'Hyung?' Kai said

'Yes?' D.O and Xiumin both answered

'D.O-hyung, I mean.'

'Oh'

'Yes?'

'I love you hyung but I'm not going to give up. From now on, we're competitors when it comes to her'

Xiumin's eyes darted across the room to you where you were busy getting the table cleaned up. D.O nodded.

'Fine.'

 

Outside in the main area of the dorm was everyone rushing around and hugging Suho. He smiled and hugged Sehun and Luhan for a particularly long time. At that moment, Kris entered with Lay and Huiling not far behind.

'Hyung!'

'Suho!'

Both boys ran and enveloped Suho in a bear hug, lifting him off the ground.

'Sorry we're late.' Lay said, 'The flight was delayed a little'

'That's alright.'

'Enjoy your trip?' You asked Huiling, eyeing her necklace

She smiled and nodded, 'it was amazing, thank you'

Baekhyun turned up 10 minutes later, red and panting.

'I'm so sorry I'm late!'

Chanyeol drew out the seat beside him at the dinner table. 'Saved you a seat, Mr Infatuated!'

Baekhyun took off his trainers and sat down gingerly but not without giving Suho a welcoming hug.

'So we've got everyone back now...' Tao said, 'Luhan-hyung, Suho-hyung... Huiling'

Luhan smiled as he spooned out some more soup for himself.

'Aren't we a cute and happy family?'

Kris looked at Lay who was desperately trying to avoid Huiling's gaze. Xiumin glanced over at Kai and D.O who weren't being particularly hostile to each other but were definitely being rigid. Chanyeol looked at you laughing away with Baekyun who was busy telling you comical excerpts from his date with Maddie.

'Yeah. We are'

 

After dinner, everyone was sat around the television to watch the newest episode of Running Man. 

'Yeollie is so Kwangsoo-oppa!' 

'What are you trying to say, Princess? I'm not a traitor like Lee Kwangsoo!'

'But you're tall! Like a giraffe!'

'Who's the Commander then?' Xiumin asked

'Obviously Kris is Jongkook. Is that even a question?' said Chen

Baekhyun grinned, starting to enjoy the conversation.

'How about the Ace? Mong Ji?'

'Ah... Song Jihyo-noona is so pretty...' said Sehun

'Lay! It's Lay!' Luhan said excitedly

'What? Why?! Why am I Song Jihyo?'

'Because you're always blank like her!' 

'What? No I'm not!'

'Yeah you are! Blank Ji... Blank Lay...'

'So who's Gary then? The Monday Couple!'

Everyone went silent. 

'Gee thanks, guys. If I'm going to be the Ace, I need my boyfriend' Lay joked, 'anyone?'

There was an even longer silence.

'Wow... Great...'

'How about Yoo Jae Suk? The grasshopper? Yoomes Bond? Yooruce Willis?'

'I feel like he should be Suho-hyung' D.O said

Suho smiled, 'oh really? Why?'

'Isn't he basically one of the cleverest on the show besides the Commander and the Ace?'

'Oh well thank you, D.O'

'Who else haven't we done?'

'Haroro! Haha-oppa!' you said

'Well that's obviously Baekhyun' Chanyeol smirked

'What?! Why do I have to be Haha?!'

'It makes sense though. You're always friendly and joking about, aren't you?' said Kris, obviously enjoying his title as Commander

'But... Haha?... Really? The penguin?' 

Baekhyun looked truly dejected and Chanyeol thumped him on the back, grinning.

'I'm the Prince of Asia, Lee Kwangsoo.'

'You're also Framer Kwangsoo' Baekhyun said bitterly

'But I'm tall and young'

'And the icon of betrayal'

'And a model'

'Someone hit him please'

'Wait, we need to figure out who Impala is! Big nosed hyung!'

'But no one has a big nose...'

'I vote Haneul' said Chanyeol

'What?!'

'You said I'm Kwangsoo, the Kwangvatar...'

'But you were just saying how great that was! You should be happy I said you were Lee Kwangsoo! He's a model! And you can be Prince Yeollie!'

Chanyeol blushed a little. You didn't have a clue about his secret couple nickname and it had thrown him off a little.

Prince Yeollie?

'Oh well, I suppose you're going to have to be the big nosed hyung' said D.O winking at you, 'it suits you'

'Oh oppa!' you whined, 'can't I swap with Lay and be Song Jihyo?'

'No way. I get to be a pretty woman, why would I switch to Ji Suk Jin?' said Lay, crossing his arm and pretending swish his imaginary long hair.

You slumped down. 'Ah... Heol...'

'Aigoo Haneul, is that your attempt at aegyo to get us to change our minds?' 

'Is it working?'

'Nope'

You sighed again.

'Heol...'

Later that night when everyone was asleep and you were outside sitting on the balcony to get some fresh night time air, you saw a light turn on in the dorm.

Isn't that Suho and Sehun's room?

The dim glow turned off quickly however and a good 30 seconds later, the door opened. A tall and slim figure slipped out.

Sehun?

Slowly, you slid open the balcony door and Sehun shrieked in fright.

'Oh god!'

You were sitting on the floor and giggled, 'what are you doing?'

'I couldn't sleep. It's too hot in there because Suho-hyung's turned the heating on.'

'So you're sneaking out?'

'I was planning on sleeping out here. I'd feel bad if I turned the heating off.'

You slid open the door a little more, 'come and sit out here with me for a bit'

Sehun sat down beside you, sliding the door shut and making himself cosy. It was quiet and there was hardly any moon out. The only light came from the warm ambery glow of the lamp posts that were dotted around the courtyard of the campus accomdation down below. 

'Look at us' Sehun said when he found a good silence, 'The two of us, together, being rebellious as the youngest in the family.'

You laughed, 'all we need is a beer and some chicken and then we'll really be living the hardcore life'

'Shall I get some?'

'What? No! Suho will kill you!'

'Oh that's true, hyung's back now... But wait, I'm an adult and so are you. Why do we have to listen to them?'

'Are you trying to be a badass, Sehun?'

'No...'

You laughed and elbowed him and he pushed you back. Being around the same age made it easy to punch him and not feel too bad about it.

'Haneul, can I tell you something?'

'Of course'

'Without you laughing at me?'

'As long as it's not you wetting the bed or something, I promise not to laugh'

Sehun took a deep breath, 'you know... I used to like you'

You turned your head with a sort of astounded expression on your face that set Sehun hooting with laughter

'It's true' he said, fixing his hair slightly, 'I used to like you. I don't anymore. You got ugly.'

'Excuse me!'

'I'm kidding. It was around the time when we came back from Japan. I remember I liked you in Japan. I don't really know why I stopped liking you actually... Isn't that weird?'

'Not really. You can get over your feelings for someone if it's just something little.'

'Did you ever have feelings for me?'

You choked, 'what?'

'Well did you?'

You put your hand on Sehun's shoulder who was pouting, eager to hear what you were going to say.

'Sorry...'

Sehun pushed you away and you laughed, 'You're the one that stopped liking me!'

'You've hurt my ego, Haneul'

'You hurt mine'

'How?'

'You don't like me anymore. Am I no longer attractive?' you said, putting your hands up to your face, 'Am I not cute?'

'Eurgh please, Haneul. Aegyo doesn't suit you.'

'Sehunnie-oppa...'

You were trying your hardest. Sehun smirked with a mischevious grin and suddenly pulled the cutest pose you had ever seen. If people could radiate, he would have been radiating with rainbows and sparkles and by God, the Powerpuff Girls could have been made with all the sugar and spice and all things nice that Sehun was just radiating. 

'Jesus Chri-'

'Buing buing! Haneul-ah, are you sure you didn't like me? Don't you like oppa? You don't like Sehunnie-oppa?'

'Oh my God-'

'Buing buing. Please love Sehunnie-oppa juseyo!'

'Sehun, oh dear lord please- stop-'

'Aing~'

You hit Sehun in the chest and he stopped, cackling with laughter. You clutched your chest.

'God, that was awful' you said, panting and trying to catch your breath.

Sehun could kill with aegyo if he wanted to. It was so sickly and you were glad he didn't do it often.

'Awfully ah-mazing, don't you mean?'

'I prefer you when you're being a brat'

You guys must really hate Huiling since that's basically what every comment said... Try not to hate on her too much, I don't want to kill her off just yet XD I promise promise promise to have Xiumin appear a lot more from now on, don't you worry! Chanyeol will also be coming up with something assez dramatic so grab yo popcorn and get ready! As for Kai and D.O, I think you know where they stand now from this update. WHO'S EXCITED FOR SOME KAISOO TENSION?! Tensions riiiiiiiiising~~

For anyone not following me on twitter (@haneul_gateun) I think I am 90% definitely going to be writing at least one other alternate ending. Because there are currently two properly thought out routes this story could take (and I freaking love both and can't let go of either...), we're going to have two surprise endings (maybe more but I doubt it)! If you a lil disappointed with the first then maybe you'll like the second! (or maybe you'll like both because they're both so good even if I do say so myself bwahaha). Enough with the polygamy! Haneul's only gonna get one boy ¬.¬ don't be greedy! ;)

Also I'm sorry if anyone doesn't understand the Running Man part... ^^ Since exams have finished, I've been treating myself to an incredibly unhealthy dose of Running Man love (Kwangsoo is my RM bias, he's such a babe ♡)
