Your P.O.V

”I’ll be right there!”

“Come on Amber. You were the one who called me to come out!” you said irritated.

“Sorry, my dad needed some help with his new phone. I really don’t know why he bought it in the first place. He doesn’t know how to use that ,” she said and you couldn’t help but smile at that, “Anyways, I’ll be there in five!”

“Alright.”

You hang up and put your phone in your pocket. You were sitting on your skateboard near one of the ramps, resting your arms on your knees. It was once again a really nice day and Amber called you this afternoon to come and just hang out. There weren’t so many people in the skatepark, because most of them came in the evening. That is the time when everything goes wild there.

There was a thing that you really liked with this skatepark. A thing that would never work back home in the US. A thing that even you didn’t now was possible.
The thing was friendship. Everyone in here was friends with each other. Everyone but Yongguk of course. You just couldn’t understand him sometimes and you couldn’t help but wonder what was wrong with him. Whatever it was, you just had to make sure to show him that he isn’t the king here and that he can’t always get what he wants.

You were still angry at him for being so confident and sure that you wanted him. Just because some cheap little y girls would do whatever it takes just to get a kiss from him, doesn’t mean everyone is like that. And definitely not you.  Well, you couldn’t deny the fact that he was a hottie and that you indeed were attracted to him but you had something called pride. Something not every girl has.

“Hey you,” you looked up and saw a really cute guy standing beside you, “Jin Ah right?”

You glared at him a couple of seconds before nodding.
“I just wanted to inform you about the next big competition this weekend. You know the one you were on the first day?”

“The big competition?” you forrwed your brows.

“Yeah, the Seoul’s official skating event. It’s held twice every summer, and the next and last one for this summer is now on Saturday,” he explained.

“Oh, okay. Thank you for the information,” you gave him a weak smile.

“You’re welcome,” he smiled and looked to the front while still standing beside you.

“Yah Yukwon!” the two of you turned around at the voice behind you, “Get lost, man,” Yongguk approached the two of you out of nowhere.

“Hi hyung,” the guy named Yukwon gave an incredibly attractive eye-smile.

“Just go,” Yongguk pushed him away and Yukwon shrugged before walking away.

Yongguk was standing now in the same spot that Yukwon was standing on a minute ago. You ignored him and focused your gaze on the rest of the skatepark. Where is Amber and what is taking her so long?

“Thinking about me again?” asked Yongguk out of nowhere as he sat beside you on the ground, “It’s okay, Jin Ah baby. You can think about me as much as you want.”

You didn’t answer because you really didn’t have the strength to argue again. Come on Amber!

“You should be happy,” he continued, “I’m giving you a chance. I’m making it so much easier for you than the other girls.”

You took a deep breath before turning to face him, “Oh, really? Thank you!” you faked a smile, “Thank you so much Yongguk oppa!~” you mimicked Gyuri and her annoying voice.

Yongguk widened his eyes at your sudden unexpected answer and behavior. He looked at you and followed your next movement. You went up and took a few steps before standing right in front of him. You bent down till you were in the same eye level.

You were really confident but your confidence dropped a bit, once your face was just inches away from Yongguk’s, but you still stayed calm. You looked straight into his eyes and tested him.

“So..? What are you waiting for oppa-yah,” you used Gyuri’s voice again.

Yongguk just stared at you, which made you keep on with your little game. You went closer and closer to his face. He backed down; put his arms behind him on the ground to prevent his body to fall. You could feel his breath on your lips and that made you realise what you were doing. All of sudden, you regret doing this and tried to think of a plan to cover yourself up.

“You know what. Just save this chance of yours to some of your es,” you said casually, dropping the whole ‘Gyuri-voice’.

As you tried to go back to your standing position, you felt Yongguk’s hand on your arm. He didn’t let you go away just like that. You looked at him and you could see that his eyes were full of lust. He pulled your arm and in a second, you fell and landed on top of him.

You were in shock, still lying on top of him. He had his hands on your waist and you had your hands on each side of his head. You stared at him and in that second, you were helpless. Your mind went blank and you didn’t know what to do. You wanted to punch him in the face right there and right now, but your hands refused to do so.

“We shouldn’t be so rude to someone who is trying to help you, should we?” he smirked.

Once again, your body was numb. You really couldn’t do anything. What was even worse was that the words from your mouth didn’t want to come out, so you were just lying there, totally numb and speechless. You could see that Yongguk was enjoying this moment to the fullest. He shifted his gaze from your eyes to your mouth. Suddenly, you could feel his grip on your waist tighten and he tilted his head while coming closer to your mouth, with his eyes fixed on your mouth.

This was the warning call for you, and all at once you could use your hands again. You pushed yourself up, interrupting Yongguk with whatever he was doing. You brushed the dust of your pants and took your skateboard that was lying beside Yongguk.

You looked at Yongguk one last time and you could see that he was pissed as hell.
“Just…” you didn’t know what to say.

“Take this chance Jin Ah,” Yongguk looked at the ground.

“I don’t want it,” you turned around to go.

“You will regret it,” you heard him say.

“Whatever,” you said and walked away, still in shock.

You could hear him groan in frustration but you didn’t care. All you wanted to do right now was to find Amber and forget about this moment. You jumped on your skateboard and skated away, searching for the girl that was going to get in trouble in a little bit.

The skatepark was still empty, with not so many people there. You skated around but couldn’t find Amber; instead you spotted Luna sitting with another girl by the benches. Maybe she knows where Amber is?

“Hey Luna,” you called after her as you approached the bench she was sitting at.

She turned around and smiled widely at you, “Hi Jin Ah!”

“Do you know where Amber is? She should have been here for like..” you looked at your watch, “Ten minutes ago.”

“Really? I don’t know.”

“Oh well.”

“But you can sit here with us and wait for her if you want to,” she gestured with her hands for you to sit down.

Right now, everything was better than being alone in this skatepark, knowing that Yongguk is still here. As you took a seat beside Luna, you could see Yongguk from the corner of your eye, leaving the park. You sighed at the thought of what happened just minutes ago.

“I have to go now, Luna. See you later!” the girl that was sitting in front of Luna, went up and took her skateboard.

“Alright, bye Suzy!” Luna waved with her hand and the girl walked away.

You followed her with your gaze and just as she was on her way out from the skatepark, you saw Amber enter it. Amber looked around, clearly searching for you too. You eyed her and just in that moment, you met eyes with her. She smiled and ran towards you.

“Sup!” Amber nodded.

“Five minutes huh?” you crossed your arms.

Amber laughed nervously while rubbing her neck. “Yeaah… I lied.”

“It’s so typical Amber,” Luna commented, “She is never in time," she laughed.

“So you were still at home when I called you?” you gave her a questioned look.

“Yep.”

“I hate you,” you rolled your eyes.

“Come on Jin Ah… baby,” she began laughing at her Yongguk imitation. “Sorry!”

“Don’t call me that!”

“Alright, alright," she took a seat in front of you and Luna, “So…” she tried to break the silence that appeared right away.

You were just sitting there, bored as hell. You were a bit mad at Amber, because it was somehow her fault for what happened earlier. If she was here in time, the accident would never have happened. Or was it an accident?

“The last Seoul’s official skating event for this summer is on Saturday, just so you know,” Amber informed out of nowhere.

“Alright! But I don’t think I will participate this time,” said Luna.

“I already know,” you said as an answer to Amber’s information.

She gave you a confused look before asking, “You know? How?”

“Some random guy, named Yuwoon-Yukwon.. I don’t know... Anyways, he told me while I was waiting for you,” you pointed behind you, towards the ramp you were sitting beside.

Amber just nodded with an impressed expression. You shrugged and nodded with her. Suddenly you heard a phone ring. It was not yours because the ringtone was different from yours. Luna jumped up and screamed.

“! It scared me,” she said while taking the phone out of her pocket.

“Drama queen,” Amber rolled her eyes while you just laughed through your nose.

Luna showed her tongue to Amber before answering her phone.

“Hello?” she answered and suddenly widened her eyes, “Himchan oppa?”

You and Amber exchanged looks and turned back to her.

“Oh, yes?... yeah I’m at the park right now… Now?... Alright, where are you?.... Okay, I’m coming. Bye!” she hung up and put her phone in her pocket again.

She took her skateboard and turned to the two of you. Amber and you just sat there and waited for an explanation.

“What?” Luna didn’t get it, “Oohh that. Yeah, Himchan called. He wanted to talk to me and I don’t know why," she shrugged.

“Since when are you friends with him?” Amber arched an eyebrow.

“Since… A couple of days ago… You know Amber, he is actually a good person. Not everyone is like Yongguk!” Luna sounded offended, “I’ll be going now. See you guys later,” and with that, she walked away and out of the park.

“Whatever,” said Amber in annoyance and turned to you, “Are you going to participate on the competition?” she asked.

It was the last one for this summer and it is an official event, so beating Yongguk once again in front of everyone would be hilarious. You nodded as an answer and smirked.

“Okay. The registration is done in JR’s skate shop. His father cooperates with the founder of this event,” she explained.

“Alright.”

“Gaah, it’s too hot outside,”  Amber groaned, “Let’s go to our hideout,” without waiting for your response, she went up and took your arm to drag you.

You jumped up, took your skateboard and followed Amber.

“So yeah, since then, I’m single.”

You and Amber were sitting by the balcony of the house beside the skate park. Once again, she sat in the middle and you near the wall because you were afraid of heights. She told you about her love story and how it ended.

“Well, that was a long time ago,” you said after her story, “Isn’t there anyone you have a crush on now?”

Amber tilted her head to the side while looking into air, she pretended to think. Two seconds later she shook her head, “Nope. What about you?” she nodded towards you.

“Naah,” you waved with your hand.

“Don’t lie to me!” she pointed with her index finger, “There has to be someone you have a crush on. I just know that,” she didn’t stop pointing.

You reached for her finger and took hold of it, “No Amber, I don’t have a crush on anyone here.”

She pulled her arm back and shook her hand from the pain caused from your grip, “Okay, okay. Is there anyone you think is better looking than most of the guys then?”

You rested your head on your knees while looking through the balcony, “There are many good looking guys here,” you said as matter of fact.

“There has to be one particular person that is just hotter than everyone else,” she eyed you.

“Well, there isn’t,” you lied.

“Liar.”

“I’m not.”

“Yes, you are.”

“Shut up.”

“JB?”

“What?”

“Is JB good looking in your opinion?” She asked out of nowhere.

“Well… Yes,” you answered honestly.

“JR? Daehyun? Zico?” she drabbled random names.

“They are all good looking in their own way okay!” you grew tired of her little game.

 “Yongguk?”

At that name, you lifted your head up from your knees and widened your eyes.

“Ha! I knew it!” she shouted.

“Shhh!” you jumped up and put your hand over .

“I’m.. som gmood... adt thiss,” she mumbled under your hand.

You really wanted to ignore his presence for now but it was impossible. When Amber mentioned his name out of nowhere, you couldn’t help but react. With the memory still fresh in mind, you just had to.

“Okay!” you took away your hand, “He is hot okay. But that isn’t anything new,” you rolled your eyes and walked back to the wall. Instead of sitting down, you just stood there.

“You want him.”

“No, I don’t.”

“Are you attracted to him?” she said instead.

You didn’t answer but just continued looking through the balcony.

“I’ll take that as a yes,” she continued, “He wants you too.”

At that you looked at her with a wtf-expression, “I don’t care. I don’t want him," you said coldly.

“Keep lying to yourself Jin Ah,” Amber stood up and walked to the wall opposite of yours. She was standing closer to the balcony’s edge.

You just wanted this conversation to end and walked away from the balcony, ignoring Amber’s last comment. You walked around in the house, wondering why they don’t do anything to it. It was abandoned, so they could take it and use it as a meeting place.

“Hey, why won’t you guys make something out of this house? Whose is it anyway?” you asked her.

“I actually don’t know,” she crossed her arms while still looking out.

You just shrugged and continued looking around. Suddenly you heard Amber shout.

“What the ?! Jin Ah, come here!” she waved you over.

You ran up to her and looked out, trying to see what she was seeing, “What is it?”

“Is that Luna with Himchan… and Yongguk?! What the hell?!”

You looked at the direction Amber was pointing to and saw the same thing she just described.

It was really Luna with Himchan and Bang Yongguk.
