“Okay so only Sungmin and Donghae go as guests. You guys will already be there. All right. And there are going to be Jiyeon, Eunjung, Yunho, Changmin, Jung Juri etc etc. Got it.” I said.

“good. Now shindong should be dressed by now.” Leeteuk replied.

We approached Shindong’s dressing room. We had made it safely to the recording studio of SBS’s strong heart. Leeteuk walked briskly next to me. He was already dressed. The rest of the members were getting ready. Leeteuk stopped before a door that said ‘entertainer 4’

“Boom is entertainer 1. I am entertainer 2 and Eunhyuk is entertainer 3. You should remember that. It might come in handy later.”

He opened the door swiftly to find Shindong fidgeting with something. I had to admit he looked mighty funny. He had long golden hair and wore a red dress that reached the floor. It had a slit that came up to his knees. He had a lot of makeup on. Red lipstick. Fake eyelashes. The works. He was struggling with the side of the dress.

“Everything okay?” Leeteuk asked

“Neh hyung. Just this stupid zipper won’t go up” Shindong replied and gave the zipper a mighty pull. It sprang up instantly and a content smile graced Shindong’s face but suddenly he said “oh no” and all our eyes went to the zipper again. I heard a very loud ripping sound and the zipper flew with full force towards the open window and out it went.

All eyes were back in the room and staring at the spot where Shindong’s costume had ripped. There was a loud knock on the door and a muffled voice said, “Recording starts in 5 minutes.”

“What am I going to do?!” Shindong gasped

Leeteuk looked frazzled.

“Don’t worry.” I said and pulled out a stitching kit from my bag

Shindong and Leeteuk still seemed worried and I realized with a pang that they didn’t really trust me. Oh well. What I had been expecting was asinine after all. I mean what kind of a person will trust a stranger in a day. But still… Oh whatever that is for later. There is a crisis at hand. I got a stool and sat myself near Shindong. He twisted his upper body and I saw that the rip was definitely quite large

“Will it be okay?” Shindong asked worried.

“I think so.” I said concentrating.

Thanks to the stitchery classes I had taken in elementary school, the rip was fixed in no time but there was still the question of how I would ensure that the dress wouldn’t rip again.

“Shindong it’s fixed for now but I don’t know how long it’ll last.” I said

“We can’t have it rip in the middle of a show.” Leeteuk said

“Well…there is a way to fix it.”

“How?”

“Do you have any red duct tape?”

Both of then looked at me as if I was crazy

“Well… do you?” I prompted

“yes but…” Leeteuk said

“get it.”

Not a minute too soon Shindong’s dress was all fixed up. I had taped up the rip and the same amount on the other side to make it look like a pattern

“Good job!” Leeteuk said, all smiles and I couldn’t help but feel proud. I smiled back at him and both of them went off to take their places. I took my place with the rest of the managers, backstage. Everything else went along smoothly and I have to admit I was doing a pretty good job!

“Everything is packed. Lets go.” I said

Sungmin, Donghae, Shindong and Leeteuk started to pick up the bags

“Hey hey what are you doing? That’s not your job.” I said trying to snatch the bags

“You’ve worked hard today. You deserve some rest.” Sungmin said reassuringly and everyone smiled kindly.

These guys were awesome! I grinned back at them and as they went off towards the car. I bent to pick up the remaining bag but someone grabbed it before me. I looked up to see the smiling face of Eunhyuk.

“You don’t have to do that.” I said

“Yes I do.”

“Thanks.”

“So, how was your first day?”

“It was quite… interesting.”

“Haha! I must say you tackled the saesang fan VERY nicely! It was freaky though. Don’t worry it doesn’t happen every day.”

“Tell me about it. Man, how did he even get up to the eleventh floor anyways?”

“I asked the guards, they said that there was a rope and a ladder.”

“A rope? How did a poor rope take that guy’s weight?”

“God only knows! Haha. Hey, have you heard that joke?”

“Which one?”

“The one where the…”

Leeteuk’s POV  

“They look really good together neh hyung?” Donghae asked and looked at me expectantly.

All of us were secretly looking at the couple (?) from the tinted windows of our SUV.

“They should start going out.” Sungmin said

“I’ve never seen Eunhyuk so comfortable with a girl before. He’s generally so uptight. But there’s something about her that makes me unwillingly like her. Don’t you think?” Shindong said

“I agree. I mean generally I get jealous but I feel good for Eunhyuk when he’s with her. Even today during the filming…did you notice Eunhyuk kept glancing towards the manager’s area? Generally, she didn’t notice and he kept staring. Once she did, she gave him a wink and a thumbs up. Eunhyuk’s smile knew no bounds after that!” Donghae said.

“And then and then when filming was over and all the managers were taking off the mikes. Eunhyuk went last, and he always wears his mike strangely so obviously it took longer. And all through he just kept looking at her and his mouth was open and he just gave this really small smile.” Sungmin said

“I think we should set them up on a date.” I said finally

All the others nodded in agreement.

“And Donghae, they do look good together. But Sora-shi and I look better.” I added

In unison, they all shouted “YAH HYUNG!”
