Eunhyuk’s POV

 

I opened my eyes slightly and then yawned. 

 

I grunted and got up. I looked around the room and my eyes widened. It was so godforsaken clean! Even the floor had been scrubbed. What time is it? I looked at my watch. 11:43 it read. Hmm… how did I get back home anyways? Oh right the eating competition. We came home by a cab didn’t we? Leeteuk hyung must’ve put us to bed. Wait a minute… 

 

“WHERE IS MY STRAWBERRY MILK?!” I yelled accidentally (on purpose).

 

Teukie hyung’s head peeked in through the door. 

 

“Ah Eunhyuk you’re up. Your strawberry milk is in the fridge. The members took your laptop and ipod. Sorry about that. Poorva said you were tired and that I shouldn’t wake you up. All the others have gone for their jobs. She made us breakfast and then went with them. She’ll be coming back in around…” he glanced at his watch “Yeah she’ll be here in an hour to take us to the SM building. We have to look over some things. Besides-“

 

“Hyung…” I interrupted absentmindedly.

 

He looked carefully at my expression and came down to sit beside me.

 

“What happened Hyukjae-ah?” He asked. 

 

He only called me Hyukjae when we were alone.

 

“Hyung… I think I love her.”

 

“Poorva?”

 

I nodded. He didn’t say anything.

 

“I asked her out and… she said yes. But… I mean. Can I? Can we?”

 

He sighed

 

“Hyukjae we are getting old. We can’t be in this industry forever. And besides if you love her then I don’t see whats wrong.”

 

“But hyung she’s our manager!”

 

“So? Listen if you like her then she’s just that. A girl you like.”

 

“I’m not doing anything wrong am I?”

 

“No. At least I don’t think so.”

 

I brightened up instantly and hugged him

 

“Yah yah.” He said and I let go quickly and grinned

 

“Come have food. Indian cuisine is amazing. But only after you wash up. Go! Quickly!”

We were in the car going for our shoot. I needed to talk to her. She was sitting beside me reading a book. Gosh could she get any better? I mean she

READS too?!

 

I nodded at Teukie hyung and he engaged the driver into some meaningless talk while I gathered up the courage to talk to her

 

“Uhm… Poorva?” I said

 

“Yes?” she looked up from her book expectantly.

 

“umm… about yesterday’s eating contest.”

 

“oh yeah about that actually Eunhyuk that pasta sauce had a strange effect on me, I vaguely recall anything we did after finishing the pasta.”

 

“Y-y-you don’t remember?!” my eyes widened and my heart sunk. So she hadn’t really said yes. Oh god… what now?

 

Poorva was looking at me and then she finally asked after analyzing my expression “Did we talk about something important?”

 

I glanced at Teukie hyung. He was mouthing ‘say it say it’

 

I gulped

 

“N-not really no.” I said hesitantly

 

“Oh all right then.” She went back to her book

 

I saw Teukie hyung smash his hand against his forehead. He was making punching and kicking movements in the air. The whole car was moving because of him. I thought he was going to have a seizure. He stopped after a point. His hair was absolutely messed up and his whole face was red. He looked more or less like a tomato. I knew I would be in trouble.

 

“Actually…P-Poorva… will you got me? I mean will you go pout with me? I-I mean will you be my boyfriend…aish… will you be my girlfriend?” I blurted out

 

She stared at me shocked

 

“W-well if not then okay. I mean I…”

 

“Eunhyuk…” she said

 

My heart was thumping like crazy. She continued

 

“I like you. A hell of a lot. But… as your manager I don’t know if I can or should. Besides-“

 

“I allow it!” Hyung interrupted and beamed at her

 

“But Leeteuk ssi I-“

 

“Poorva listen. We are idols but we are humans too. Don’t look at Eunhyuk as an idol. Look at him as a man. If you still don’t want to then don’t but don’t

refuse because of your work. Who knows it might turn out for the better.” Hyung said again.

 

She pursed her lips and gritted her teeth. Her silence must’ve lasted for a few seconds but it seemed like forever to me. She sighed and said 

 

“If you say so then…I guess… yeah.”

 

“Y-yeah?” I asked and noticed that I sounded like I had in a lot of helium.

 

She looked at me shyly and bit her lower lip and grinned a bit “I’ll go out with you.”

 

“Really?” I felt like my heart would jump out of my chest.

 

She didn’t say anything but nodded very fast. Her head was barely moving up and down and it was more like it was vibrating. She looked like a hamster. I wanted to kiss her right then. I don’t know how I restrained myself. 

 

We reached our studio and got out. She was loading the bags off. I tried taking them.

 

“Eunhyuk.” She said sternly and I looked at her “We are at work. Your work is to entertain and my work is to help you with yours. At work I am your manager first and anything else later. You will listen to me and let me do my job. Okay?”

 

Gosh. She was so righteous. 

 

I let the bags go and backed off.

 

She lugged them along and made her way into the studio

 

“I have a rule too Poorva.” I said mischievously.

 

“umm hmm. I’m listening.” She said while working the clasp on one bag

 

“You are going to call me oppa.”

 

“Oppa?” She let the bag go and stood up suddenly

 

I grinned.

 

Just then a hysterical assistant came out screaming and told Poorva to hurry up. She started walking ahead.

 

“Eunhyuk? Coming?” she turned around and asked

 

“Not Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk ‘oppa’” I said and caught up with her
