You Got Me Too
“You sent her flowers?”
Song Kang looked up from the seat, his stylist was doing some touchups on his makeup.
“I did. How did you find out?”
His manager sighed and plopped down on the black leather couch behind him.
“You’re being reckless, Song Kang-ssi.” He said pointily, the younger male chuckled and leaned back on his seat.
“He’s just showing that he’s interested, oppa. What’s wrong about that? It’s not like he has a dating ban or something.” The stylist chimed in, Song Kang winked at her.
“I know that, but we know nothing about the president Oh.”
“Nothing? Hyung, she’s always been down to talk about what’s going on, she~”
“With work, yes. But haven’t you noticed? She never mentions anything about her personal life. Doesn’t that bother you? She’s one of the one percent, Kang.”
Song Kang shook his head.
“It’s because you don’t take the time to really talk to her, you probably view her as some business deal you have to finish.” Song Kang childishly stuck his tongue out at him.
“As I should. She is work, part of work.”
Song Kang sighed and peeled his gaze away from him, the stylist paused, a little unsure.
“I like her, hyung. I..want to get to know her better.”
“Is she single? Do you even know that?” His stylist chimed in, Song Kang smiled at her.
“I’ve been to her studio many times, I don’t see anyone.”
“How about those two big guys? They’re both so handsome that it hurts.” She mused as she brushed the male’s hair.
“They seem to be just friends.” Song Kang nodded, his cheeks a little pink.
“Be careful. She could be seeing someone who’s not to be messed with.” His manager pointed out before leaving the room.
“She’s not taken, noona.” Song Kang whispered to the older girl, and they both laughed.
“Well, I hope your crush isn’t one-sided then.”
Heesoo sighed and let her feet dangle over the grass, Wonho was quietly enjoying his ice cream sandwich beside her.
“Sophia Wu ditched us. She ditched this.” She waved her arms around, Wonho turned to her and grinned.
“It’s Wednesday afternoon, miss Jung. And we’re at a park with ice cream. I think Soph has other priorities.” Wonho said in a light tone, she rolled her eyes at him. The two were at one of the many parks around downtown Seoul, seated at the truck bed of Heesoo’s pickup truck.
“Lunch was fine, right?”
“It was.” Wonho said to her, he glanced at her arm, his brows rose.
“Does it hurt?” He asked her as he set his ice cream aside, Heesoo shook her head in reply.
“I admit, I think I kinda knew that he was…wasn’t against it. I just…I just tried not to see it. Because, it’s a crazy idea. I mean, an arranged marriage? It’s..”
“It still happens, but, it’s not right.” Wonho commented as he handed her napkin, Heesoo pressed her lips together and took it from him.
“I don’t know where he got the guts to say all that. He talked about my wild tendencies as if he knows me. If given a choice, I wouldn’t really opt to be friends with someone like him.” She pointed out, Wonho looked at her.
“Why? Not your type?”
“He’s too arrogant, you know, the kind of arrogant that is usually quiet but once he gets going, he starts showing off this and that. Ugh.” She shuddered, Wonho grabbed one of the water bottles and opened it for her.
“For a moment, you thought it would work. You mentioned it.”
“For a moment, I was dumb.” She mumbled, Wonho smiled and took out his phone. Heesoo looked at him and chewed on the insides of her cheeks.
“I don’t think I ever got to thank you for removing all those articles. You didn’t have to remove the writers too.”
“They were all writing about fake information anyways, why not just..take care of them while it’s still early?”
Heesoo paused, her brows went up.
“I can’t have you taking care of things for me always, beefcake. It’s not right.”
Wonho turned to her, his gaze meeting hers.
“Why?”
“W—What do you mean?” Heesoo slightly pulled back, suddenly aware of his proximity.
When did things change? When did she start noticing this little details about him?
From the way his lips would curl up when something funny was going on, or how he would get all whiney when someone messes with his stuff at the shop. And how, he always looked so damn good in whatever outfit he was wearing, from his usual auto shop work clothes to his formal suits.
And, he smelled nice. Always.
And, how he reliable he was. He is always there for Chaeyeon or Soph when things get stressing for them. He always listened. Like now, he’s sitting at a park with her, on a weekday.
“Why is it not right?”
Heesoo blinked and turned away from him.
“I mean…you know, it’s not…your problem. You shouldn’t be stressed over it.”
“I already said, I’d take~”
“You’d take care of it. Yes.” She continued for him, Wonho paused and he nodded, he slowly reached out tuck her hair behind her ear.
“Is it making you uncomfortable?”
“N—No, I just~”
“I like you, Jung Heesoo.” Wonho blurted out, but he was smiling.
Heesoo stilled, she slowly turned to him, stunned.
“Won~”
“I’m your headache now.” Wonho let out a small chuckle before sliding down from the truck, Heesoo could only stare at him.
“You don’t have to say anything. I just want you to be safe.”
“But I’m not in town during that week.” Chaeyeon said with a frown, her brother was on FaceTime.
“My schedule’s really packed, we have a few days here in Milan, then we have to fly straight to San Diego.”
Chaeyeon rolled her eyes, Sehun chuckled.
“Why? You miss me?”
“It’s weird not having you around, I don’t get free rides to work.” She muttered, she saw secretary Yang walk in with some coffee.
“You have a boyfriend.” Sehun pointed out with a yawn, Chaeyeon pursed her lips, noticing the dark sky behind her brother.
“He’s out of town.”
“Get a driver.” Sehun grinned at her, she sighed at him.
“Are you going to bed?”
“In a bit, anyway, eomma asked me to check on the house. Don’t worry, I’ll be home by then.”
“The only week you’re in Seoul is the week I’m at Hawaii, oppa.” She muttered, she saw secretary Yang return and she paused. He was carrying the biggest bouquet of mixed flowers she’s ever seen, her face crumpled.
“What is it?” Sehun asked, seeing the look on his sister’s face.
“I—It’s nothing, oppa. You should rest, call me once you get the time.”
Sehun hummed back, then the screen went black. Chaeyeon stood up and cautiously walked towards the arrangement. There was no card stuck on it, and she tilted her head.
“What’s..this?”
“Flowers, ma’am.” Secretary Yang blinked at him, she sighed and walked back to her desk.
“It must be from director Son, but did he forget?” He said, Chaeyeon shook her head and dismissed him. She picked up her phone and tapped on Shownu’s name on the screen. He answered after a couple of rings.
“Hi, it’s me.” She spoke as she walked towards the windows, Shownu let out a small laugh.
“I know. What’s up?”
“Shownu, I don’t like flowers.” She said while checking on the tips of her heels, there was a pause from his end.
“I know.”
The girl stopped, she pursed her lips and looked at the flowers again.
“Okay.”
“Is something wrong, Chaeyeon-ah?”
“No. I just wanted to disturb you.”
Shownu chuckled before speaking.
“I sent some mandarins and pears over, enjoy them.” Shownu said in his usual calm tone.
“Thank you, impressive boyfriend. You’re the best.”
“I’ll call you back later, I have a meeting in a bit. Enjoy the rest of your day.”
“Secretary Yang,” Sophia said as she walked towards the male, Minhyuk was walking right behind her.
“Are you here to get coffee for Yeon? Is she going to pull an all-nighter again?” He asked the male as the barista handed him a bag of drinks.
“Yes, I think she will be. What brings you around the area, director?”
“To see her, I have some documents I need to run by her.” Minhyuk replied, Sophia turned to the counter and started ordering.
“Right, I~”
Secretary Yang’s phone started to ring, Minhyuk gestured for him to take the call. The male set the coffees down and looked at the screen.
“It’s director Son.” He said, Soph and Minhyuk glanced at him.
“Sir,”
“Are you busy? Is this a bad time?” Shownu asked from the other end, Minhyuk leaned in wanting to eavesdrop, it was kind of odd for his cousin to call Chaeyeon’s secretary.
“No, go ahead.” Secretary Yang replied, amused with what Minhyuk was doing.
“Chaeyeon called me earlier about not liking flowers. Why is that?”
Minhyuk paused, he glanced at Sophia.
“Ah, the flowers? They weren’t from you?”
“No.” Shownu’s tone turned flat, Minhyuk flinched.
“Then, one of our suppliers must have sent them.”
“It didn’t have a card?” The older male asked, sounding impatient.
“It didn’t have any, sir. I~”
“Why bring it to her office when it hasn’t been checked properly? It could be dangerous, Chaeyeon’s rhinitis could act up again.”
“Ah, r—right, sir. I’ll have it removed this afternoon.”
“Call the office and have it removed now. She didn’t sound so well when I called her.”
Minhyuk pulled away, and shook his head. Sophia nudged him, confused.
“Yes, of course, sir.”
“And,”
Secretary Yang straightened his back and got the coffees again.
“Do not accept unlabeled gifts.”
“Yes, sir. I’ll inform the front desk as well.”
And then the line went dead.
