Loving Her

Always Loving You

"I would like some sunflowers."

Dylan didn't know why he blurted it out. It's not that he didn't like sunflowers, but it's not something he would buy for a friend. It's the last kind of flower he would thought of buying, but seeing Sunnee made him blurt it out. Sunnee, on the other hand was taken aback by what he said. "S-sunflowers?" she asked. Dylan nodded his head. "H-how many do you need?" she asked. "Five." Dylan said.

Sunnee could only stare at him. "O-okay..." she said as she turned around to get the sunflowers behind her. She doesn't know why she's seeing Wayne in him. The way he ordered the flowers, it's the same way Wayne would order a bouquet for her. "Stop it, Sunnee. Dylan and Wayne are different..." she thought.

Carefully, she placed the flowers onto the floral wrap and arranged it. As soon as she is done, she handed the bouquet to Dylan. "Here you go." she said with a smile. Dylan couldn't help but gaze at him, seeing her hold the bouquet of sunflowers. It complimented her, he thought. He felt as if she became much brighter as she held out the yellow flowers.

He found himself smiling at her. "Dylan?" she called. "I'm sorry... how much is it?" he asked. "$120." Sunnee told him. He took his wallet, and gave her the money. When Sunnee handed him the bouquet, Dylan couldn't help but hold her hand for a long time. "Her warm hands, her brown eyes... why does it feel so familiar?" he thought.

"Uhmmm... Dylan, my hand..." Sunnee told him. Dylan smiled awkwardly as he let go of her hand. "I'm sorry." he said. "It's all right." Sunnee told him. "Well... uh... the last time, I was not able to get your number." Dylan said. Sunnee took a business card from under the counter, and handed it to him. "Here. My number is there. If you need flowers for delivery or for your events, you can call us." Sunnee told him.

Dylan quickly read the card, and noticed the the number written there was for her shop. "I mean, your personal number. Your mobile number?" he asked. Sunnee smiled sadly at him. "I'm sorry, but I don't really give out my number to anyone." she told him. She could see his expression to a sad one upon hearing her answer. "Oh... I understand. Thanks for the flowers, anyway." he said.

He turned to leave. Somehow, Sunnee felt guilty for turning him down. She then decided to take back what she said. "Dylan, wait." she called again. Dylan paused, and looked back at her. Sunnee walked up to him. She took the card on his hand, and then wrote something at the back of it. "Just promise me, you won't give my number to telemarketers." she joked. Dylan let out a laugh. "Of course, I won't." he promised.

He looked at what was written at the back of the card, and let out a smile. "Then, can I call you or message you?" he asked her. Sunnee smiled and nodded her head. Dylan smiled happily at him. "Then, I'll message you later then." he said. Sunnee nodded her head. "I'll go ahead. I'll see you around." he said. "Take care." Sunnee told him before he leaves.

[Flashback]

"Sunflowers?"

Sunnee asked as she looked at the bouquet Wayne gave her. Wayne hugged her from behind, and rested his chin on her shoulder. "Because sunflowers remind me of you.  And you're as beautiful and as lively as these sunflowers." Wayne told her. "And why is it five? Shouldn't it be three, or a dozen?" she asked.

She looked back at him, and saw him smiling at her. "Because it means five words." he explained. Sunnee gave him a confused look. "Five words?" she asked. "I. Love. You. My. Sunnee. Or, it could also be I love you Sunnee Yang." he said as he counted with his fingers.

She let out a laugh upon hearing his answer. "You're so lame!" she told him. "But hey, it's the thought that counts. Don't tell me you weren't touched by my gesture?" he asked as he pouted. She looked at him, and held her cheek. "I'm touched." she said.

Wayne hugged her even tighter. "From now on, I want you to give me five sunflowers, all right?" she told him. "Because it means, I love you, my Sunnee?" Wayne asked. Sunnee nodded her head. "Then, from now on, I will only give sunflowers to you, my sunny girl." Wayne said. As Sunnee smiled at him, he kissed her on the lips. "I love you." he told her.

[End Of Flashback]

"Sunnee!"

Sunnee's thoughts were interrupted when she heard Evan's falsetto calling him. She looked in front of him, and saw the bear puppet in front of him. "Little Bear is wondering why you're spacing out." Evan said in his normal voice.

Sunnee smiled at him. "Sorry, if I'm spacing out again." she said. "Don't worry, Little Bear is just worried about you. Right, Little Bear?" Evan asked the bear puppet. "Yes, I'm worried about Sunnee." Evan said in Little Bears voice. Sunnee couldn't help but laugh at him.

"I'm all right. You don't have to worry about me." Sunnee told him. Evan let out a sigh. "I can't help but be worried about you. Especially with what happened the other day." he said. "Don't think about it, all right. I'm fine. Today is one of those good days." she explained.

Evan smiled at him. But somehow, he can't help but be worried about her. Since that day, he promised to be more careful not to trigger her panic attack. And since that day, he promised to make her smile more, and make her happy. "Ah, what do you want for lunch? It's my turn to buy today." Evan asked her.

"I'll have braised beef!" Pets shouted from behind. "I'll have pork chops." Wes told him as soon as he got out of the office. Evan looked at the two with confusion. "I was asking Sunnee..." he protested. The two just laughed at him "You're going to ask us anyway, might as well tell you." Pets said. "I want to eat hamburger." Sunnee told him.

Evan slowly turned to face Sunnee. "Hamburger?" he asked. Sunnee nodded her head. Then, he let out a smile. "Then, I'll buy you the biggest and tastier hamburger I could find, all right?" he told her. Sunnee smiled, and nodded her head.

"Hey, Evan Ma. I am your older sister, and you never told me you'll buy me the biggest bowl and tastiest braised beef you can find." Pets told her brother as she pouted. "If I tell you that I'll buy you the most delicious braised beef in the world, will you be at ease?" Wes told her.

Pets slowly looked at Wes, and saw him smiling at her. She felt her cheeks became warm seeing him smile her way. "D-doesn't matter. I... I want a delicious braised beef today for lunch." Pets said. Sunnee looked at the two, and secretly smiled. "Could it be, Pets jie also like Wes ge?" she thought.

--

After doing some inventory outside, Pets went inside the office. "Hungry..." she mumbled as she closed the folder she is holding. She looked over her desk, and saw a bowl of braised beef on her table. "Weird, didn't Evan just went out to buy our lunch?" she thought.

She finally realized who left the bowl of braised beef on her table. She let out a smile as she thought of him. "He did brought me the most delicious braised beef he could find, right?" she asked herself. She took her seat, and opened the bowl. She got her chopsticks, and ate some of it to taste. "It sure is tasty." she said to herself.

She helped herself with the braised beef, and soon after, she was eating it all. As she ate, someone was watching her from outside the office. Wes leaned on the wall outside the office, and watched Pets as she ate the braised beef he brought for her. As he looked away, he folded his arms, and smiled to himself.

--

"Huh? Wes ge is moving back in?" Sunnee asked his father in surprised. Jack nodded at her. "B-but why?" Sunnee asked. "After your last attack, Wes and I agreed that he should move back in to look after you." Jack told her.

Sunnee lowered her head as her father speaks. "But... but I'm not sick. I'm no longer sick..." she said in a low voice. Wes walked up to her, and held her. "Qing Er Mei Mei, we know you're not sick. It's just that, your father got scared when you had a panic attack. And besides, it's too lonely being alone at my pad. I miss being around you and Uncle Jack." Wes explained.

Wes looked up at Sunnee's father, and smiled. "Yes, yes. Wes is right. He misses being around us, so he decided to move back in." Jack told her. Sunnnee looked at Wes, and pouted at him. "I don't believe you." she told him. "Sunnee, listen to me. This is for the best, all right?" Wes convinced her. "But I'm not sick. Not anymore... right?" she asked. Wes smiled and nodded her head.

"Then, you'll agree Wes ge moving in here?" Jack asked her daughter. Sunnee let out a sigh. "So troublesome. He's with me at work, then he have to live with us? It doesn't make difference with Pets jie." she said with a pout. "It means we're going to be one big happy family." Wes told her with a smile.

Sunnee let out a sigh. "As if I have a choice." she said. She folded her arms, and went back to her room. "She'll get used to this." Jack told Wes. "I know she can't resist my charms." Wes said, smiling at him.

--

As soon as Dylan got out from the shower and got dressed up for bed, he laid on his bed for a while. Then he took the business card and his phone from his night stand. He let out a smile as he remember his last meeting with Sunnee. He could never forget how brightly she smiles at him. "I miss her..." he thought. He then decided to give her a call. He dialed the number on the card, and waited for her to answer it.

Meanwhile, Sunnee went back to her room after having a conversation with Wes and her father. "Why does Wes ge have to go back here? So annoying..." she thought. Then, she heard her phone ring. She immediately took her from from the table, and answered it. "Hello?"

"Uhmmm... hello? Is this Sunnee?"

Sunnee let out a smile, knowing who her caller is. "Sorry, you have the wrong number." she said. "Oh, I'm sorry..." Dylan said on the other line. Before Dylan could end the call, he heard her let out a laugh. He found himself laughing at her. "Hey, you like to prank like Eunice, huh?" he said. "That is why we're friends." she said.

Dylan laid on his bed as he is talking to her. "Eh, why did you call me?" Sunnee asked. Then, he let out a smile. "I want to hear you voice..." he told her.
