Always Loving You

"How do you feel about him?"

She paused for a while. Then, a sad smile was formed in her face. "I'm happy when I'm with him..." she told him. "Then, why won't you give him a chance?"

There was a long silence from her. He watched as she closed her eyes. He saw the tear falling from her eyes. "I want to..."

"Then what's stopping you?"

He waited for her answer. But all he could hear is her muffled sob.

--

Sunnee stared at Dylan as his face moved closer to her. She slowly closed her eyes, and then she felt his lips against hers. It was a long kiss between them, and in that kiss, she could feel how he felt towards her. For the first time in three years, she had never felt this happy in her life. She had never felt more loved than before.

But despite that happiness, she was hesitant. Dylan doesn't fully know her. He doesn't know much about her past, or even her current condition. That moment, fear started to set in her heart. And as fear fills her mind, the memory of Wayne flashed before her. The memory of the past was enough for her to stop. She can't let Dylan fall for her, knowing her heart is still with another person.

She broke their kiss, and looked away from him. "Sunnee..." she heard him call her name. "I'm sorry, Dylan..." she said in a low voice.  Dylan just look at her. He know, he did something wrong by kissing her right away, but he felt that moment was perfect for the two of them, and he got carried away by it.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I'm ready..." she finally said. She took a deep breath, and faced her again. "You don't know me that well to love me. I'm scared that I might end up hurting you. I'm scared you'll realize that I'm not worth being loved, and you'll turn away from me. I'm sorry...." she said.

He could see all her fears in her eyes. He held her cheek, and gave her an assuring smile. "I could never unlove you. Whatever your past is, whatever your imperfections are, I accept it." he said. Sunnee shook her head. "You don't understand..."

"I'm willing to wait until the day you're ready."

She could only stare at him. "I will wait until you're ready to tell me everything. I'm going to wait till the day you're ready to love me.  Because I don't see myself falling in love with someone else, but you." he told her. She gave him a faint smile, and that was enough for his heart to race in his chest once again. He pulled her towards him, and hugged her tight.

--

"Wayne, stop the car, please?"

She cried as he held his arm. His hand is still on the steering wheel, and he pressed harder on the accelerator. "Stop the car please! Wayne!" she pleaded again. "Not until you tell me you'll take me back." he told her in a bitter tone as he drove. "Wayne, please..." she pleaded again. Wayne acted deaf, not listening to her. "Wayne, I -"

Before she knew it, their car crashed into the truck. She fell unconscious for a few minutes, and when she woke up, she saw Wayne unconscious. With all her might, she cried for help, until someone came. "Miss? Are you all right?" a voice asked her. Before she could close her eyes, she saw that familiar face once again. "Miss?"

And then, there was black.

"Wayne, no!"

Sunnnee shouted as she sat up from her bed. Beads of cold sweat formed on her forehead. Tears began to fall from her eyes. As each second pass by, she was getting scared, she doesn't know why.

"Sunnee?"

The door opened, and she saw Wes entering her room. "What happened?" he asked worried. She opened to speak, but no words came out of it. All she could is sob loudly. Wes walked up her, and sat beside her. He hugged her to let her calm down. "Sssshhhh... it's all right..." he said as he consoled her.

"Wayne..." she called as she cried. He looked down at her, saw how she is shaking as she cried. "You had a dream about the accident?" he asked. Sunnee slowly nodded her head. "I don't know why it happened... I don't know why he doesn't want to stop the car... Why wouldn't he want to stop the car?" she said between sobs.

Wes broke their hug. He held her shoulder to face her. "Do you remember anything about the accident?" he pried her. Sunnne paused to think, but her mind is blank. "Do you remember even a little bit of what happened before the accident?" he asked again. Sunnee shook her head. "I don't know... I don't know... I don't know!" she shouted as she cried.

Wes hugged her again. "It's all right. Don't force yourself to remember anything..." he told her. He let out a sigh. "This is bad..." he thought. He knew it wasn't because of her head injury before that caused her memory loss. He knew it was the trauma she experienced that caused her brain to shut down those memories. He knew that as long as Sunnee doesn't remember anything, she will suffer, and he know it would hard for her to be able to move on.

--

Wes came out of Sunnee room, and saw Pets standing outside. "Wes, how is she?" she asked worriedly. Wes couldn't help but look at her with anger. Although he loves her, he couldn't help but blame her for what happened to Sunnee.

"She's fine now. She's already sound asleep. No need to worry about her." he said coldly. Pets lowered her head. "It's my fault..." she said in a low voice. "You know you shouldn't have kept that information from anyone." he scolded her. "What use would it do to her if she remembers everything?" Pets asked.

"You know, with what you did, you denied her the chance to have the right treatment. If you didn't hide it from me before, she would have been living well now."

"I don't want her to hate me..."

"Do you think she will not hate you because of what you did? You cannot deny the fact you had an affair with Wayne. You caused her all her pains. You caused her to be this way."

Pets was hurt with his blaming. She knew she did something wrong before, and she regret it. "Wayne loved her..." she choked as tears began to fall from her eyes. "And I know how much she loved him too..."

"Then, why did you try to get in their way? Why did you have an affair with Wayne?"

"Because I loved him too..."

Wes stared at him. He felt his heart breaking with that confession. "So you tried to ruin them?" he asked. "I did not... Wes, that time, you know they were having problems."

"So you took advantage of the situation, and seduced him?"

He walked to her, and held her arms. "No..." she cried. "How did you seduce him? Tell me." he insisted. He moved closer to her, until he was able to corner her at the wall. Pets looked away from him. "How did you make him fall for your charms? Why don't you try it on me? Tell me, was he good in bed, that's why you wanted more of him?" he pried.

"Stop it... please..." Pets pleaded. She felt his body pressed against hers, and all she could do is cry. He forcefully turned her face to his, and then he forced a kiss on her lips. After he broke their kiss, all Pets could do is sob. Wes just watched her as she cried.

"I hope I could avenge Sunnee with that kiss. But I know, it would take more than that to make you feel what she's feeling right now." he told her before leaving her alone.

--

The first thing Dylan did the next morning then moment he woke up is to call Sunnee. He excitedly got his phone from the night stand, and dialed her number. After a few rings, Sunnee answered her phone.

"Hello?" she asked in a weak tone. "Good morning, sunny girl!" he said cheerfully. "Good morning, Dylan..." she said. Dylan noticed something wrong in her voice. It wasn't as cheerful as before. "Hey, are you all right?" he asked worriedly. "I'm OK, don't worry."

"Are you sure."

"Yeah, I need to rest a little though..."

Dylan let out a smile. "Hey, I'll pick you up at the flower shop later, all right? Let's have lunch together." he told her. "I don't think I'll be able to go to the flower shop today, Dylan..." she told him. He furrowed his brow upon hearing that. "Why?" he asked. "I... actually I got sick again, so I need to rest the whole day."

This made Dyan more worried now. "You're sick? Was it because of our diving trip?" he asked. "No, it's not... It's... it's hard to explain. Maybe I'll tell you some other day, all right?" Sunnee said. Dylan let out a sigh. "All right. Get well soon, all right?"

"Thanks Dylan."

As Dylan ended the call, he looked at the screen of his phone. After yesterday's trip, he made Sunnee's picture his wallpaper. "I love you." he said to her picture. Then, he let out a sigh. "I wonder how she's  doing right now?" he thought. He also wonders why she suddenly got sick. Then, he let out a smile as he thought of an idea. "I think I'll pay her a visit today. Yeah, that's it!" he said.

He immediately got out of his bed to get ready for the day.

--

"Sunnee?"

Evan called as he slowly opened the door of her room. Sunnee looked up at him. She was still curled up in her bed. After her nightmare the night before, Wes had advised him to take the rest day off. She looked up at Evan, and smiled at him. "Evan ge..."

Evan went inside her room, and walked up to her bed. "Are you going to be OK? I can stay here with you, if you want." Evan told her. She let out a faint smile and shook her head. "I will be OK, don't worry. Mom will be staying with me." she said. Evan looked at her worriedly. "Are you sure?" he asked. Sunnee nodded her head. "They need you at the shop. We have a lot of work for today. I feel bad I can't go today..."

Evan smiled, and shook his head. "Don't feel bad. You need to rest, all right? I'll be home early today, anything you want me to bring home to you?" he asked. Sunnee gave him puppy eyes. "Hamburger, please?" she asked. Evan let out a laugh. "All right, I'll bring you the tastiest and biggest hamburger, like the last time. All right? Rest well." he said. Sunnee nodded her head then Evan kissed her forehead. After Evan left, Sunnee went back to sleep.

--

Dylan stopped his car in front of Sunnee's house. He took the small pot of porridge he especially cooked for Sunnee, and then went to their door. He knocked on their door, and after a while, her stepmom opened the door for him.

"Good morning." Dylan greeted as he smiled to her. "I'm here to visit Sunnee." he asked. Pauline smiled back at him. "Come in, Dylan. She's resting right now in her room." Pauline said as she let Dylan inside their room. "I brought porridge for her. She told me this morning that she's sick." he said, showing her mother the small pot he's holding.

Pauline just smiled at him. "Well, you're came just in time. I was about to cook some porridge for her. You're such a life saver. Come on, help me prepare this for her, all right?" Pauline told him. Dylan nodded his head. They went to the kitchen, and prepared the porridge for Sunnee. Then, they went to her room so that Dylan could see her.

"Sunnee,  dear, you have a guest."

Sunnee took peeked from her blanket the moment she heard her stepmom. "Who is it?" she asked weakly. Pauline opened the door of her room. She looked at her, and saw her smiling at her. Then, Pauline made way to Dylan, who was carrying a tray. "Hi, Sunnee!" he greeted her with a smile.

Sunnee suddenly jumped up with surprise from her bed upon seeing him. "D-Dylan?" she stuttered. Pauline couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. It was as if she had seen a ghost. "I'll leave you two for a while so you could talk, all right?" Pauline said before leaving her room.

Dylan walked towards her, then put the tray of food in front of her. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "I just wanted to know how you're doing. I'm worried about you." Dylan said, He took the spoon, and took a spoonful of porridge and fed her. "Hmmm... this is delicious! I wonder is this is my mom's new porridge recipe..." Sunnee said after she took a bite.

Dylan laughed at what she said. "Silly, I cooked this for you." he confessed. Her eyes widened upon hearing that. "Really? I didn't know you could cook."

"Well, now you know."

"I like guys who cook. I think they're more handsome."

Dylan smiled as he blushed. He took another spoonful of porriddge, and fed her again. "I hope with this porridge you will get well. Anyway, do you have fever?" he asked. Sunnee shook her head. "Headache? Flue? Tummy ache?" he asked. Sunnee shook her head. Dylan furrowed his brow as he looked at her. "It's your monthly visitor?" he asked. Sunnee laughed at him. "No!" she said.

"Then, what is your sickness?" he asked. He could see the smile on her face slowly fading from her lips. "If I tell you, you will stay, right?" she asked. "Of course, I will. I won't ever leave you." Dylan said in a serious tone. Then, she let out a sigh. "Last night..." she began. "I had a panic attack."

Sunnee looked at him, and saw him listening intently at her. "After I had an accident, I was diagnosed with PTSD..." she told him.

Dylan stared at her for a long time. He put the tray for a while, and then pulled her into a hug, which surprised her.
