Break Up

Always Loving You

Pauline walked to her daughter, glaring at her. She could see her crying with guilt, but that didn't matter to her. Pets had always been the spoiled one. She blames her ex-husband for doting and spoiling her. She knew that she'll do anything to get what she wants. But she's disappointed at what she have done.

"Mom..." she called as she cried. Then, Pets was slapped in the face by her own mother. "Mom!" Evan exclaimed. He tried to stop his mother from hurting his sister. As Pets nursed her cheek, she could only cry. Evan then held her sister as she cried. "Well, I hope you're happy to get what you've always wanted. I hope you're happy with what happened to Sunnee!" Pauline shouted angrily at her.

"Mom, sis never thought it would all lead to this..." Evan tried to explain. "But she knew taking away Wayne from Sunnee would hurt her. How can you be so selfish, Pets!" Pauline shouted angrily at her. "Mom, I'm sorry..." Pets said as she cried.

"Don't say sorry to me. You know who to apologize to. That is, if she will accept your apology for ruining her life." Pauline told her. With that, she turned her back on her daughter, and left. Pets looked up at her younger brother as she cried. "

[Flashback]

"Architect Yang?"

Sunnee looked up at the office secretary, and saw her by the door. "Mr. Huang is here to see you..." she said. Sunnee let out a smile. "Please send him in." Sunnee said. A few minutes later. Wayne came inside her office. "Hey, are you ready?" he asked.

Sunnee gave him a confused look. "Ready for what?" she asked. Wayne let out a sigh. "Let me guess. You forgot about our appointment today?" he asked. Sunnee's eyes widened upon realizing that. She had scheduled a meeting with Jiro in a few minutes, and she totally forgot about their appointment for the wedding. "Oh, shoot! I'm sorry, my love, but..."

As she was about to explain things, Jiro came to see her. "Sunnee? Are you ready?" Jiro asked her. Wayne looked at him, and let out a glare. "Y-yes, Jiro. I'll be there. Just give me a few minutes." she said as she stood up from her seat. Jiro looked at Wayne, and smiled at him.

"Oh, by the way. Jiro, this is my fiance, Wayne. Wayne, this is Jiro, our client." she said. Wayne looked at him as he extended his hand to him. He took it and shook his hand.  "It's nice to finally meet you, Wayne. Sunnee had been telling me so much about you." Jiro said. Wayne forced a smile at him. "I hope it's all good things." Wayne said. "Of course! You're so lucky to have a girlfriend like Sunnee." Jiro told him.

Sunnee stood between the two men, and smiled at them. "Jiro, you can go ahead at the conference room. I'll just talk to Wayne for a while." she said. Jiro nodded her head. He said goodbye to Wayne, and left the two alone.

Once they were alone, Wayne looked at Sunnee angrily. "How many times do we have to cancel our appointment for our wedding just for this project?" he asked her. Sunnee let out a sigh. "Wayne, please understand..."

"What is there to understand? I've been trying to understand you all these time!"

"You know how important this project is for me."

"And you know how important this wedding is for me."

Sunnee let out a sigh. She felt a little pissed off with the way Wayne is acting. "Are we going to fight about this? Because this is the last thing I need right now." she told him. Wayne fell silent, as he looked at her. "You know what, maybe it would be better if we don't have this wedding at all." he told her.

Sunnee was surprised at what he said. "Wayne!"

"Do you really want to have this wedding? Maybe we have to tell everyone we're already married, since you became to complacent ever since that day."

"Of course, I want this wedding. But you have to understand..."

Wayne let out a sigh as he looked at her sadly. "Sometimes I get tired trying to understand you. How about me, when will you try to understand me?" he asked her. Sunnee just lowered her head. "I'll tell Pets we can't go today. Maybe you should try to think what matters most - me or your work." he told her.

He turned his back on her, and left her all alone.

--

Wayne broke their kiss, and moved away from Pets. "What's wrong?" Pets asked as she put her arm on his bare chest. Wayne let out a sigh. "Nothing..." he said. "Come on, tell me what's bothering you..." Pets said as she snuggled beside him.

"It's Sunnee..." Wayne said. Pets let out a sigh. "I thought you don't want to talk about her for now? And besides, aren't you enjoying my company?" she asked him. Wayne let out a laugh, and then went on top of her. "Of course, I do. Sorry, about that... I won't think of Sunnee for now." Wayne said.

Pets let out a giggle. "Good. Because I want all of your attention while you're with me." she said as she kissed him on the lips.  Wayne let out a smirk at her. "So, one more round?" he asked. Pets just laughed as he covered themselves with a blanket.

--

"What do you mean we're going to postpone the wedding till next year?!"

Wayne asked Sunnee angrily that evening. "I decided it would be better -"

"When have you decided for yourself? Why didn't you even considered what I will say about this?!"

"Wayne I -"

"The problem with you is that you only think of yourself!"

Sunnee took a deep breath. In their years together, this is the only time they fought. "Wayne, can't you understand?!" she asked him. "Oh, I do understand. Your project is more important than me!" Wayne shouted angrily at her.

Sunnee was getting more frustrated, the only thing she could do is cry. "It's not like that, Wayne but -"

"But that's it, right? Or maybe you don't want to marry me? Do you want to be with that Jiro instead?!"

"Jiro is just my client, all right? Nothing's going between the two of us."

Wayne took a deep breath. He massaged his temple as he turned his back on Sunnee. "You know what..." he said as he faced her. "Let's not just get married, OK?" he told her. Sunnee was surprised at what he said. She opened to speak, but no words came out.

"Let's just cancel the wedding." he told her before leaving. Tears fell from her eyes as his last words linger in her ears. "Wayne... no..." she said weakly. She tried to follow him, but soon he was gone from his sight.

--

"Let me guess, you and my sister had another fight?"

Pets said the moment she approached Wayne at the bar. Wayne, who was currently drinking his whiskey just nodded his head. "A little misunderstanding about the wedding preparations..." he said. He gulped the remaining alcohol in his glass, and then let out a sigh. "Be more patient about her. You know how she wants the wedding to be perfect." she told him.

"Sometimes, I wonder if I should continue with this wedding..." he said. Pets let out a laugh. "Don't tell me, you're having doubts about my sister? May I remind you, you two have been together since forever, right?" she told him. "But, what if I change my mind?" he asked. He looked at her, and let out a smile.

Pets let out a seductive smile. Her finger trailed his chest as she looked at him. "Well, it's up to you to change your mind." she told him. Wayne smirked at her. He inched towards her, and before she knew it, they were sharing a kiss.

Wayne broke their kiss, and looked at her. "Why can't your sister be like you?" he asked. Pets let out a smile. "We're different, you know that. If she focuses more on her work, well, I'd like to focus more on my man." she said as she kissed him. "Then, just focus on me..." Wayne said as he kissed her on the neck. "I can..." Pets said. Then, she pushed him away. "The question is... are you going to choose me over her?"

--

Jiro looked at Sunnee, and noticed she was awfully quiet throughout their meeting. "Sunnee, are you all right?" he asked worriedly. "I'm OK. Sorry, let's continue." she said.

She reached for another folder, but Jiro stopped her. "Don't force yourself. We can continue this another time. Tell me, what's wrong?" Jiro asked her. As Sunnee looked at him, she couldn't help but cry. "What's wrong?" Jiro asked. "Wayne... he... he doesn't want to get married anymore..." Sunnee managed to say between sobs. Jiro felt pity on her. He let out a sigh, and hugged her. The moment Jiro hugged her, Sunnee couldn't help but cry more.

Wayne, on the other hand, felt guilty with what he had said the other night. He decided to pay a surprise visit to Sunnee to apologize. He brought a bouquet of sunflowers for her as a surprise. But as he passed by the conference room, he saw Sunnee in the arms of Jiro.

"Ssshhh... it's OK... just cry it all out..." Jiro whispered to her. He looked at her, and then wiped the tear from her cheek. But from where Wayne is standing, he thought Jiro was kissing her. Angry, Wayne barged into the room. "Let her go!" Wayne shouted at Jiro.

Sunnee and Jiro was surprised to see Wayne. Wayne pushed Jiro away from Sunnee, and punched him, making the latter fall on the floor. "Wayne, no!" Sunnee shouted at Wayne. "It's not what you think it is!" Sunnee said. Wayne glared at Sunnee. "No what I think it is? I saw you in the arms of another man, and you're telling me it's not what I think it is? How long have you been cheating on me?!" Wayne asked her angrily.

Jiro stood up, and pulled Wayne away. "Listen, Wayne. Nothing's going on between me and Sunnee." Jiro explained. Wayne glared at him, and then at Sunnee. Sometimes, when you're angry, you don't listen to other people's explanation. You only believe in what your eyes have seen, and what your mind perceives. And this is just what happened to Wayne.

"I don't believe you..." Wayne said. Sunnee tried to reach for him, but Wayne just hit her hand so she could not touch him. "You know what, since you'd rather be with him, then do it." Wayne said. Sunnee gave him a confused look. "It's over between us, Sunnee."

As Wayne left the room, Sunnee fell on the floor, crying once again. "Sunnee..." Jiro said as he helped her up. Jiro could only watch her as she cried.

--

Wes slowly opened the door to her room, and walked inside. "Qing Er Mei Mei?" he called. He saw her sister curled up in her bed. He could hear her muffled sobs as he got near her. "Talk to me..." he said as he sat on her bed.

Sunnee turned to her side, to see her big brother. She sat up, and hugged him. "He... he broke up with me..." Sunnee told him. Wes let out a sigh as he hugged her tight. After a few minutes of crying, Sunnee fell asleep. Wes could only watch her as she sleeps. "It's going to be all right, Qing Er Mei Mei... It's going to be all right..." he said to her.
